| "Well thanks to this," Jaya gave Blightslayer a nod. "There's nothing but holy left of me." There was a slight smirk with her comment, but it faded under the concentration on the work. The yellow liquid began to bubble and sway slightly, as slowly the shape of a longsword began to rise from the forge. At the moment it was basic and bare, although there was a slight angelic power radiating from it; as with any standard blade from such a forge.
"As Holy as possible..." Jaya recited, straightening up slightly as she now raised both hands towards the floating sword, holy liquid still dripping from it. "You start with the basic enchantments, strength and purification, I don't want you doing to many holy spells. I'll bless it with as much power as possible."
With her eyes closed, Jaya released her wings, spreading them widely as her whole skin seemed to glow with golden energy. Slowly it moved forward towards the blade, twirling in a slow stream that surrounded it and flowed through it. All the while she whispered a series of chants under her breath in a language that seemed extremely old. |

| It was beautiful to watch, Kitty found herself beaming with pride as she watched her daughter. "Extraordinary." "Gimme a pair of sunglasses." Kitty rolled her eyes at Corsetta. Kitty glanced at Dan, then at the rising sword. Kitty scratched at her arm, the liquid was making her skin itch and she felt so uncomfortable. Corsetta even seemed to be uncomfortable, coughing up black liquid and splattering it everywhere. Kitty just wanted to get this over with quickly and efficiently. "Really hope all of this works." |

| Dan avoided looking at the forge or the blade, preferring to avoid getting a headache from the holy energy it radiate. Instead he continued to look out at the barren scenery of Purgatory, unable to help feeling something was off. He'd spent alot of time on this planet back when it was a seperate realm, but now it felt completely different. Worst of all though, he felt like they were being watched. There hadn't been much time to practice using his advanced senses, but there was a scent in the air he could feel was familiar, yet it didn't belong here.
"Wa-" Dan was cut short all too quickly by a large fist bursting from the wall he was leaning on, shattering the rock and sending him flying forwards against the ruins. A loud warcry bellowed out from the culprit, followed by the deep wails of others behind it. "Orcs..." Dan pulled himself up, purposely cutting his left palm against a sharp rock to allow blood to drain out. With this he conjured a sword of his own, charging forward to place himself between the orcs and Kitty and Jaya.
The first came for him with a giant swing of an axe, but Dan managed to jump back out of it's reach and lunged forward again on the outside of his arm, slicing straight through it and causing the creature to stumble back with a loud cry. Quickly though his friends were gaining on the group, their axes and swords held high for a fight. |

| Shit. Jaya thought as she heard the orcs launch their attack. Almost done. She continued to channel the energy into the blade whilst Dan held off the attackers, trying with all her will to complete it quickly yet properly. By the time the bulk of the orcs reached them she yanked her hands back, pulling the sword from the golden forge and straight into the hands of Kitty. The sword glowed brightly and radiated with strong holy magic, no doubt making it difficult for the vampire to wield. Nevertheless she would feel the power at her disposal now.
Quickly Jaya retrieved Blightslayer, drawing her own blade out to join her father's side. A quick swirl of the blade parried an incoming sword, disarming the orc and leaving him with a burning cut that the purge magic dealt. "Never thought this day would come." Jaya commented to the side at the situation of fighting beside Dan. |

| Kitty nearly dropped the sword that was placed in her hands, the magic felt like it was burning her skin and when she looked down at her hand she saw that it actually was. Nevertheless she didn't have time to dwell on the pain. Kitty leapt into battle as well, the smell of burning flesh had attracted the attention of some of the orcs. She swung the sword and heard the satisfying wail of an orc as the sword sliced it's throat. Kitty grinned, tightening her grip on the sword even as it burned. Kitty was in awe of the sword and didn't notice the orc sneaking up behind her until she felt his axe bury itself in her shoulder.
Kitty let out a hiss of pain before she pulled the axe out of her shoulder with the other hand, turning on the orc and whipping with force into his skull. Turning on another orc, she sliced at his middle then kicked him in the gut to knock him back. With a quick movement forward she cleanly slid her sword into it's neck before pulling back. Kitty kept on going like this for several minutes, killing everything that came her way regardless of the fact that her hand up to the middle of her fore arm was on fire and not the good kind. |

| With a standard blast of magical energy Dan sent an orc flying backwards, allowing him to focus his blade on two others coming on his right. A swift double swipe blocked both of their blades giving him the chance to slice ones stomach open. Ducking and weaving behind the other, he then plunged his sword straight into it's back, only removing it after the orc had truly fallen. All the while he kept an eye on Kitty and Jaya, making sure they weren't being too overrun.
His eyes shot up to the other orcs, launching himself forward into a short spin in which he slit the backs of two enemies. Now crouched with his sword held defensively he frowned, realising the cause of this. "Lana," He said loud enough for the others to hear over the fight. "She's sent these orcs to try kill us." |

| "A pretty pathetic attempt," Jaya replied, her wings allowing her to launch through the air at a duo of orcs. Blightslayer made quick work of their hellforged blades, shattering the hilts and searing through their torsos. A bolt of holy energy from her spare hand finished one orc off, whilst a spear quickly conjured out of golden light plunged into the head of the second. Once those two had fallen she stepped over their bodies, now working through the rear of their ranks.
Soon enough the orcs were running thin, so much so that the fight looked soon to be over. Jaya rounded up her end of the battle by thrusting her sword straight through the chest of an orc, then activating the elemental runes on the blade to send lightning coursing through it's body. When it had suffered enough injuries to die, she removed her blade and looked back to her parents. |

| At the mere mention of Lana's name there was a change in Kitty, the way she moved and cut through the orcs became savage and rageful. She finished up her end of the battle quickly, but by then the flesh up to her elbow was burned. Dropping the sword with a clatter Kitty winced, looking down at her burned arm. Under the remnants of burned flesh was black snake skin, but it was only visible for a second before the skin rippled and turned into flesh. For now Kitty shook off her shock and slight fear, running a hand through her hair. "Lana? Interesting."
"Yay! We get to filet a bitch!" Kitty winced and rubbed her forehead, by now the axe wound she had sustained earlier had healed. "Is she close or did she send the orc pack from a far?" She turned away from Dan and Jaya, picking up one of the books she discarded earlier. She withdrew a pair of leather gloves from her coat, they looked worn and old and didn't look to be the right size for Kitty's hands. There were already a variety of symbols on the gloves, but Kitty flipped through the book and began adding more by using the tip of her finger as a flaming writing tool. She finished quickly and put the gloves on, the shuddered and then conformed to her hands and she frowned. "That should be better..." Kitty then picked up the sword, the runes and symbols on the gloves glowed and the only thing Kitty felt from the sword was a warm sensation but nothing more. "So, are we going after her?" |

| As the last of the orcs were swiftly eliminated, Dan turned to Kitty after her last question. There was a frown on his face, but he said nothing until his blood-conjured sword returned to it's original matter and retracted into the wound on his hand, which itself quickly healed over. "That's exactly what she wants, and I'm not risking either of you at an obvious trap." He scanned Jaya and Kitty, holding a hand up to signal to let him finish. "Not just because I care about you, but you're also the Queens of two union planets, if something happened to you it'd threaten everything you've built."
Dan then knelt down by the corpse of one orc, examining it's weapons and any pouches on it's armour. "Definitely sent from afar, it's a mercenary group she's corrupted." His hand pressed against the green skin of the body, feeling the dark energy that was fading away inside of it; evidence of her touch. "I'm going to investigate, you two should head back to your kingdoms." |

| Jaya sheathed Blightslayer once the fight was over, listening to Dan throughout until he finished. A sigh escaped her lips, along with the slumping of her shoulders. "You may have a point, but that doesn't mean get yourself killed." She could hardly believe she was worrying about him, but a part of her did. Maybe a part of her still blamed herself for his death on Mytheria. Maybe she felt she had set him down that path. "Guess it's never bothered you though."
Jaya then turned away, raising her hand to draw a circle in golden energy mid-air. Within the circle holy power began circling until a portal form, a glimpse of Phoenixspire on the other side. "Don't try to be the hero, it never suited you." She spoke with a harsh tone, before leaving them through the portal. |

| "You know, it's kinda cute that you think you ever had the power to tell me what to do." Kitty snapped, looking a bit miffed. Kitty glanced on the direction Jaya conjured the portal in, wincing when she left but she seemed to let out a breath of relief. "Like hell you're going alone. Whenever you go one on one with Lana something goes incredibly sideways." Kitty tightened the grip on her sword, the runes on the gloves she wore glowing brighter. "Speaking of that, but the last time we fought Lana you weren't there to see me win after you and your brainwashed ass went off to go free a mad celestial. Moron." She grumbled, running a hand through her hair and fixing Dan with a determined glare. "Worst case scenario something happens to me and then Diana becomes queen. I'm fine with that. But I'm not going to offer up losing you to xhance. Not again. Now. Which. Way." Defiance was heavy in her tone, there was no way she was going back unless she was dragged kicking and screaming. Or unconscious. |

| "I seem to recall your one on one with Lana ended with death too," Dan sighed, turning to stare into this distance. A singular hand rubbed against the stubble on his face in thought, half despairing at the idea of Kitty tagging along. It seemed however there would be no other choice. "But if you insist then we can go and end this." He turned back to face Kitty, a defeated look present as he gave in to her defiance.
"We do it my way though. No rushing in to blow her up. I draw her out, you plant that blade straight into her back." His finger extended to the angel blade, his look now deadly serious. "If you're in, teleport us to Orgrisk." |

| Kitty nodded, but paused for a moment and put one hand in her pocket. Once assured that thing in her pocket was still there she retracted her hand. "Fine. Just be careful drawing her out." Kitty took off one glove, upon it leaving her hand it grew to the original size again and she tucked it away. Reaching out she grabbed Dan's wrist in a tight grip. "Hold on tight. Still a bit rusty with transporting between planets..." There was a flash of light then the two were gone from the angel forges. |

| The dust settled around the two vampires after their flashy entrance, revealing them to the crowd of orcs surrounding them. Grunts and growls came from the green-skinned creatures, the grips on their axes tightening. Only a raised hand from the figure sat upon a throne kept them at bay. Lana, albeit rough looking and undoubtedly injured, sat upon a black chair that curved elegantly in structure to serve as a noble seat. Despite her grand chair it was clear the Nypherians had taken much from her.
"Is this it then?" Lana managed in a low voice, sounding as if it hurt to speak. "Have the legendary couple finally come to tie up their loose end? Do I die today?"
"Sounds about right..." Was all that came from Dan in reply. |

| Kitty let go of Dan's wrist, her muscles taunt and her jaw clenched. It took a lot for her to not just rush forward and send her sword through Lana's throat and watch her choke on it. Corsetta was currently whispering in Kitty's ear, rasping about all the painful and slow ways they could make Lana beg for mercy, her own desire to kill Lana made ignoring the whispers all the more difficult. Kitty stuck her free hand in her pocket, still silent as her hand closed around the object inside the pocket. Her eyes moved slowly around the room, feeling displeased that there wasn't a way for her to slink into the shadows what with the crowd around them. Still, she could make do. Her blue eyes flicked back to Dan, a red streak running across the blue. |

| Lana pushed herself up from the throne, blood stains marking her trail on the twisted metal. With a limp she descended the few steps until she was level with Kitty and Dan, hunched over with pained limbs that contorted oddly. "Well, what are you waiting for? A speech? Do you want me to beg for my life?" A short laughter followed. "My death is not my defeat. You, Daniel, forget your own undoing. Or doing, if you will." That sinister smirk crept upon her face.
All the while Dan slowly circled Lana, keeping his eyes locked on hers. Soon enough he was now stood closest to the throne, and Lana had turned to face him; leaving her back to Kitty. "You have lost!" She shouted, breaking into a high pitched and manic laughter. |

| Kitty glanced at Dan briefly, thinking of Lana's words. But then she clenched her jaw and her eyes moved back to Lana's back. Raising her blade she aimed it at Lana's back, a majority of people didn't know that there was a certain part of the back that you could stab through and it would also stab through to the heart. Kitty was aiming for that specific place, and with a quiet exhale she brought her blade down with the aim to strike home. |

| Hidden within the crowd he stood, staring at the purple glowing crystal embedded within his palm. A cruel grin was plastered across his face, only growing bigger when he stepped out from the groups of orcs into the center. Timed perfectly he stepped out just as Kitty's blade entered Lana's back, moments before they would realise the lack of blood and actual living matter inside her. Lana's body simply slumped to the floor, the only blood coming from that painted over her skin.
"Impressive, no?" The grinning man asked, arms wide open towards the two vampires. "Little golem magic and some blood painting fooled you; the great Kittiana and Daniel." Upon looking at them his face became gravely serious, almost scorning with hatred. "But we'll skip the part where we pretend to even care about her." His finger extended towards the Lana golem. "Trust me, she's long dead."
"Now then, which one of you wants to tell me where that Blightslayer sword is?" |

| Kitty didn't miss a beat, whipping around to face the man while maintaining a tight grip on her sword. "Not particularly no. My mother always told me not to talk to strangers, one of the few rules I actually listen to." She snarked, her eyes narrowing slightly. Corsetta circled the stranger, and for once she was actually quiet as she studied him, which made Kitty quite antsy. "Maybe I'll bend it a little bit." Cocking her head to the side, fire slowly started to dance across her skin. "Do you want to tell either of us why you want it?" |

| "Do you ever stop with the rebellious angst?" The man rolled his eyes away from Kitty, settling them in a harsh gaze on Dan. "Maybe you'll tell me? I know that angel bitch of yours has it, so why don't you call her back here and hand it over." His hand made the gestures to accompany his speech, then remained outwards with an open palm as if waiting for someone to hand over the sword there and then.
"As for why I want it, I want to frame it on my wall as a family honour." Each word was accompanied with a sarcastic tone and a tilt of the head to match. "I know breaking the blade and unleashing a corrupt celestial in the galaxy kind of goes against your thing," He pointed between the two of them. "But if you just give me the sword then none of the kids have to die." |

| "No, not really. Growing up without parents and having life throw you constant shit kinda gives you a less than desirable coping mechanism." Kitty shrug, twirling her own sword around in her hand as her jaw clenched. Her eyes flashed when he spoke of Jaya, the fire on her skin letting out a few pops as it intensified for a few moments then went back down.
"No one's giving you that sword. Although it is very polite of you to ask first and threaten after, gotta admire that. But still. Not a single cell from your body is touching that sword, you aren't going to be breaking it either." "You're both so boring, breaking that blade would certainly be a lot of fun. Madness running amok through the galaxy, everyone would be as mad as us." Kitty held her tongue as Corsetta teased and taunted her, she so badly wanted to spit at her that there was no 'us', Kitty wasn't Corsetta. "But aren't you? After all, I was just a seed in your soul that you watered. Yet, now that I've bloomed, you want nothing to do with me. That wounds me." |

| "Problems with an alter ego have we?" The man maintained a cruel smirk, almost flickering his gaze as if he could see Corsetta. Instead though it settled on the orcs behind him, which parted by his commanding hand signal. A group of armoured orcs came from the opening, each holding a subdued hostage ranging from child to teenager in age atleast. Through the ordeal Dan simply watched and remained silent, unable and unwilling to risk making a move.
"So, second attempt. Will you give me the sword?" His signalling hand now pointed at Kitty, eyes narrowed awaiting her reply. Dan shot a hesitant look to her, obviously indecisive.
Whilst they waited one of the orcs tightened it's grip on it's hostage, pressing a worn knife to the girl's throat. "I haven't got all day..." The man prompted. |

| Kitty's jaw clenched tightly, her hand holding her sword so tightly that her knuckles turned as white as Corsetta. Her eyes cut to Dan, she was in between a rock and a hard place. But then again who was to say that those kids weren't just more golems with blood painted on them. She already knew what her choice would be, and if she was wrong she knew the choice would haunt her but she couldn't do it. She couldn't.

| "No."
Everything happened too fast even for Dan to perceive. Suddenly there was blood sprayed across the dirt and rock, bodies of the young falling; some he even recognised from the academy. Orcs were beginning to roar and charge inwards, waves of axes incoming for the two vampires heads. Amidst the green charging he spotted the man for one moment, before a purple flash spelled his disappearance.
Dan flicked his dagger up and cut his palm, allowing the blood to flow out in tendrils that whip away the oncoming orcs. Like veins pulsing through the air they completely surrounded himself and Kitty, holding the assault at bay whilst he shouted back to her. "Get us out of here!" |

| Kitty was frozen for a second, and for that second she didn't even feel the axe stab into her stomach when it was thrown at her. But then as Corsetta screamed in her ear she came to life again, letting loose a torrent of fire from her hand before booking it towards Dan with an axe still stuck in her stomach. She yanked it out on the way and winced, her senses going into overdrive as her conscience forced her to smell the innocent blood just spilled and the cries of orcs echoed in her ears. When she reached Dan her hand closed around his bicep, and with a flash of light the two were gone from the mass of orcs.
Kitty's aim was less than perfect, they might have landed in the castle but it probably wasn't the most comfortable of places. Just before winking into the castle, Kitty lost her grip on Dan's arm and he landed smack on his back on the stone floor of he throne room. Kitty on the other hand landed on her back on the throne quite hard, a snap echoing through the room. Kitty let out a groan, "Ugh...I hate being queen." |
