Type: Support weapon.
Use: Shield friendlies from damage.
Rarity: Common.

Strengths
-Shielding, the gun's purpose is to shield allies. Aiming and firing this weapon at a friendly (or enemy when idiot) will cause a shield to form around them, making them invulnerable to damage until the shield breaks.
-Shield strength, The shield is caable of taking quite a few hits of alot of sources before breaking down. After breaking the gun must be reloaded before it can be used again.

Weaknesses
-Reload time, the gun takes quite a few times to reload as the shield batter needs to be near the lens core wich is in the middle of the gun. The process goes through a bolt action process and needs to charge up for several seconds before it can be used again.
-No failsafe. The gun only creates a shield for the targetted friendly, not the user.
-No modding. The gun cannot be modded to do damage or change behaviour. It is restricted to shielding friendlies.

Description
With the increasing understanding of energy shields, it was only a while before a remote controlled version could be created. This was the energy shielder wich quickly became popular among heavy support troopers and raiding parties. This gun proved highly efficient at it's purpose and has become very popular among knights and healers alike.

All shields outside of ships or vehicles require a dev thread, because its considered restricted

Doesnt the dev thread for the light shield count to this too considering it's the same technology but just modified? Im not against doing a dev thread but just confirm to me that i need to do a dev thread for each seperate piece of shielding tech.

Please add the Light Shield dev thread, and a link to the approved Light Shield submission to make it clear this uses the same shield tech. That way you don't have to dev whole new tech.
