In the time before the Rift was common knowledge, the majority of the galaxy considered it to be nothing more than a myth. A legendary realm of pure energy and untapped potential. Long ago, however, there was a time of great strife as the three great Dragons waged war against each other over what they believed was right. These Dragons were the three Almis brothers. In their current feuding state, they unknowingly posed a massive threat to the entire galaxy and despite countless attempts to reunite them and stop the fighting, many who knew them eventually gave up. That's when the Rift itself intervened, making itself known to the galaxy.

The three brothers were all alike. They were headstrong, fierce and stubborn to a fault, but in many cases, the three of them would throw reason and logic out the window. The Rift studied the three Dragons and noticed this. Dan, the oldest brother, had been corrupted by power and greed. He wanted to control the galaxy through domination. Ven, the middle brother, wanted nothing more than the protect the galaxy from whatever threatened it, and Dan was now a threat.
Then there was Eli, the youngest brother, who chose to follow Dan, hoping that his older brother would reward his loyal service when everything was over and the Dragons controlled the galaxy.

With the brothers fighting against one another in an unfair war and with nobody powerful enough to stop the three, the Rift intervened, creating a fourth, female Dragon and giving her the power to control Rift Energy before manipulating the family's history and putting the new Dragon into the Almis bloodline as the youngest, but possibly the most powerful Dragon of the siblings. Her name was Bethany.

With no time to lose, Bethany set out on her mission. Her first objective was to find and join Ven, making the fight much more even. After months of searching, however, she would first come into contact with her eldest brother, Dan, who had been seeking her out since her creation. If he could turn her to his side, Ven would be utterly outmatched and defeated, leaving nothing standing in the way of their quest for domination. With this in mind, he set out trying to corrupt his younger sister, promising her power at his side when they controlled the galaxy. But she was nothing like him or Eli, she was most similar to Ven and wanted nothing more than to ensure the galaxy's safety. Dan grew angry at this, lashing out as he and his sister briefly fought, with Bethany trying to reason with Dan and Dan trying to corrupt her. The two were evenly matched and eventually too tired to keep on fighting. It was then that a third Dragon appeared, his scales red as fire. In their fight with each other, Dan had made his location known to his younger brother, allowing him to quickly find him and jump to the aid of their sister, causing the eldest brother to flee back into hiding.

Beth's first objective was complete as she now stood with Ven, ready to fight their brothers evenly and bring peace to the galaxy once again.
After months of planning and searching for their brothers together, they finally had a shot at one of them as Eli stepped out into the open for the first time in years. It was clearly a trap, but it was also an opportunity that they couldn't ignore.
With that, they set off for his location - Earth.

The two Dragons rushed to Earth, only to find a large, dark tower under construction in the middle of one of the planet's large deserts. By the time they arrived, Dan and Eli had already enslaved the population local to the area, who were now working non-stop to build Dan's dark spire.
Knowing that Dan would expect them to fly straight to the top of the spire to confront them and anticipating a trap that would likely lead to their downfall, the two Dragons chose to keep their Human forms and fight their way from the bottom of the spire up.

The fighting lasted for hours as Ven and Beth slowly ascended the tower. Dan's forces were no match for them, but Dan knew this. They were just cannon fodder to slow his siblings down. Eventually, they ran into Eli, who was waiting for them about half way up the Spire. The three of them fought viciously, with Eli strong enough to hold his own against both of his siblings. After a while, the three stopped fighting and were clearly exhausted from the battle. Seeing an opportunity, Ven and Beth began talking with their brother, trying to convince him to join them.

Attempt after attempt to convert Eli failed as he refused to leave Dan's side and the scenario carried on playing, over and over again until Beth brought up one very good point.
"If Dan was right in what he's doing, I wouldn't have been created." She stated.
Eli pondered this thought for a while before nodding in agreement and eventually joining their cause. With the three of them united, a plan was forged in which Eli would return to Dan and await their arrival, keeping out of whatever happened until Dan was distracted enough for Eli to catch him off guard and take him down once and for all. Now their plan was sorted, everyone just needed to get into their places and await the final confrontation.

Ven and Beth continued fighting battle after battle, until finally, they arrived at the top of the spire, ready to confront Dan. Upon seeing each other, Ven and Dan engaged each other fiercely, fighting viciously and clearly to kill one another. For a while, the other two siblings backed off. Everything was going to plan. It was only when Dan had Ven pinned against the very edge of the spire that Bethany and Eli stepped in. To keep up their charade, Beth and Eli fought each other briefly, but it was not enough to deceive their brother, who ultimately decided to probe Eli's mind.

"It appears that our brother has betrayed me..." Dan stated angrily before grabbing Eli and holding him in the air by the throat. "Don't do it!" Ven shouted, swooping towards his brothers.
"Wrong move, brother" Dan smirked, slashing his large Dragon claws towards Eli and decapitating him violently.

The fight commenced again as Dan dropped Eli's lifeless body from the top of the Spire, his two siblings violently lashing out against him simultaneously. The three battled tirelessly for hours with their destructive nature doing massive damage to the Spire itself, leaving large chunks of the building falling from the sky. Soon, Beth hear mysterious voices in her head.
"This is why you were created, Bethany. You have the power to defeat Dan and trap his Dragon aspect." The voices whispers, making it clear that they were the Rift itself, talking to Bethany.
Without second thought, or even control over her own actions, Beth instinctively reached out, sending a blast of Rift energy flying into Dan's chest. Instead of just striking him, the energy phased into the eldest Dragon's body, taking hold of the soul given and tearing it out of his body and imprisoning it in the Rift.

With the Dragon threat over, the siblings departed. Ven left to continue defending the galaxy from threats wherever they popped up and Bethany chose to return to the Rift, wanting to turn it into a real home where she could spend her time. It's unknown exactly what happened to Dan following the events of the final battle, but it's confirmed that the three remaining siblings all attended the funeral held for Eli.
