Apex-122... Tower has ordered a press conference after another one of Spectre's little projects made the news apparently. Weird how Spectre said she kept it in high secret with Klaut and only a few people knew about it so far and that is excluding the other immortal legends. Tower was present together with Viktor and Klaut facing the news cameras of the press who were looking to confirm the rumors. "Hello, thanks for being present here in such numbers... We have noticed that one of Spectre's projects has reached the light of day. Like many other bio weapons we already have such as the plague masters the weaponizing of the plague that has been named Scythe-145 has been made without full ackowledgement of other rulers. Though unlike the plaguemaster units or our immortal demons we decided to discontinue the weaponizing of Scythe-145. The genetic code of the plague is under strict security, all prototype weapons have been dismantled and further research has been halted and is currently strictly forbidden. Currently the only research related to Scythe-145 will be the cure research to relieve the natives of the planet. Any further questions?"

"How will you prevent it from being used."


"It's been my first and last immortal command to restrict the virus. As long as my name has authority within the faction, wich will be well beyond my death the command stands and the virus may not be used."

"Do you have proof of the destruction of the virus?"

"As a matter of fact i do, we are recording the disintegration process of the prototype bombs and canisters that held the virus. These are live recordings from Bylyn JR on Apex-122" Behind Tower a large screen lit up and it showed a number of dwarves carrying black ish purple cannisters into a machine dubbed "the disintigration room" once they left them in the room the corrosive acid and flamethrowers combined with the aging death ray took care of what was left.

"Is there any chance your 'immortal command' may be overpowered?"


"Only when i lose authority within the military side of the faction, wich is very unlikely seeing how i have founded this faction over 3000 years ago."

"how long is the cure expected to take? and when it is designed, will it be deployed galaxy wide?"


"Most likely not, our cure will be ment to specifically target the damage Scythe-145 causes and be mostly useless against other diseases. Therefore it will only be made specifically for those on Scythe-145 itself. Though should an infected person travel off the planet and infect another one, it will definetly be available for free. The research itself is not expected to take terribly long, we have assigned our most capable virologist on the mission."

"How did you not notice the bio weapon being made?"

"In the immortals, all of the immortal legends can make decisions without having to consult me. This is mostly to speed up decisions such as the teleport tech we are going to share with another faction. But it has led to tragedies such as this one."


For a few more hours, Tower answered more questions the journalists may have had..

The Following hour an intergalactic message went out. "The immortals are inviting other faction representatives to come over to Apex-122 and look through the immortal warehouses to confirm the weaponry regarding the Scythe-145 plague is gone.  Scythe-145 is open for visit as well for people to verify the labs that are working on a cure to see the lack of zombie virus weaponry. Security is being kicked up highly and everyone is welcome."

The baron was the first of other factions to come visit, and despite the denial of the treaty they were still welcomed heartfully on Apex 122. Viktor looked over the crowd and recognized the baron and remembered him from Omega and personaly went over there to great him. From the distance he could hear Viktor's low, loud voice. "AH! My friend! it's been too long!"

It didnt take long for Viktor to become visible as he towered out over the crowd while making his way to the baron.

This press conference was a complete farce in any sense of the word. As justified as it was why the Immortals were bothering to placate the slack jawed fools of the galaxy was beyond her. They should have just released a message saying "we won't use the parasite" and then leave it at that without taking any further questions. Speaking of questions once Tower had finished answering his questions, one of which had incorrectly answered, Saryn stepped up walking towards the podium. She cleared her throat and spoke into the microphone an apparent edge of irritation underlying her voice. "Allow me to rectify one piece of misinformation presented by our host. The cause of this "zombie outbreak" was not in fact a virus. It was a parasite." Of course that aroused numerous different members of the audience into asking how Saryn knew this. This was not the first time she had been at a press conference but it still frustrated her immensely. 

"My name is Saryn the head of the research team that investigated the outbreak on Scythe-145 and developed the cure. I also performed the first autopsies." She sighed to herself realising that now she had stepped forth and admitted her part in the development of the cure she would be subject to a lot of further questions. Again the crowd gathered before the podium began to speak again asking question after question of Saryn which she answered with self-controlled irritation. A lot of the questions were rather unrelated ones asking Saryn for her opinion on the Immortal's place in the galaxy or inquiring about any other projects she might have been working on. Those kinds of questions were ignored due to their irrelevancy answered only with a piercing glare. That was when the best question all evening was asked:
