| Mortals of the stars, we require your aid. Our home is being torn asunder by necromancers, hoping to gain control of our slain kin. Please, assist us in quelling this scourge so that we may protect the galaxy with you. Drakenhelm's plea for help arrived to Jaya early in the morning by messenger, stirring her from her sleep to move quickly. Talis too left the palace for his world to rally the Fey, whilst Jaya called upon the Union's main forces for a combined intervention on the surface of Drakenhelm. All listening forces were advised to land on the planet and seek out all traces of the necromancers and their undead, considering them all hostile; permission to engage on sight. The dragons were designated as allies, except if the event occurred where one was risen from the dead. Hoping to prevent this from happening, Jaya arrived with the first fleet in orbit of the planet with dropships heading straight for the surface. The main drop point was an icy region to the north which was bustling with roaming undead armed with rusted iron armour and weapons. Necromancers dotted the landscape, usually atop small hills as they called upon their dark magics to command their forces. At the far end of all this stood the Northern Dragon Cities, defended by drakes that circled the sky trying to fend off the invasion by fire and magic. "All union forces, wipe out these invaders and win the favour of the dragons. We must do our duty as peacekeepers of this galaxy." Jaya spoke through comms, before armouring herself for the fight. Possible Objectives 1. Engage the undead army from behind, fighting towards the Necromancers to slay them 2. Defend the Dragon hatcheries and the children in them. 3. Investigate a possible dragon resurrection to the East. 4. Do what you like to help take the planet |

| Blue lightning cracked down into the frozen earth amidst the undead, shattering several soldiers into bonemeal. A silhouette came from the settling snow; a man wearing a worn cloth robe. His hands rose up and surged with blue energy, readying spells of magic to be used against the skeletons and zombies that were now turning their attention to him.
A blade of energy shot out from his right hand, seperating two undeads heads from their bodies. From his left came a much larger but unfocused blast, aimed at a gathering of enemies further afield. As he fired his magic he ran forward, throwing aside skeletons to try and reach the other figure that stood upon the hill before him.
The Necromancer... |

| Revereth had searched for nearly 200 years for the homeworld of the dragons. In that time, he had encountered several of his kind, but most had been away for too long to remember their homes. Now, he's found it.
He had been on the outskirts of GSU space, chasing a bounty of one Mensa Fellroot, a necromancer that has pissed of a wealthy man, when he got the distress call. He didn't know how he knew it was a dragon, but he figured it to be an instinctual recognition. He tracked the location of the call down, following it to the world of Drakenhelm. As he had entered the atmosphere, he had received another transmission, saying that a force of necromancers were headed to a hatchery.
Which led to where he was now, in his true form of a dragon. He would be damned if he let a few necromancers get past him to the young of his race. In the distance, he could see them approaching, surrounded by their host of undead. He was ready for a fight, and ready to defend his race. |

| "My lady, are you fit for battle?" An elvish soldier stopped Jaya on her way to the hangar bay, a look of concern in his eyes. That same look was mirrored in her own, as her hand rested upon the bump now formed on her stomach. "With respect, perhaps you should sit this one out." "You're right." Jaya sighed, loosening the binding of her silver armour. "I just feel useless at the moment." "You carry our future, my lady. You are far from useless." The elf smiled, before gently nudging her. "Now go and rest, King Talis will handle the battle."
At that recommendation Jaya moved slowly to her private quarters, smiling down at her stomach which contained her future. Their future. Whether it was a boy or a girl, they were the rightful heir to the throne of Phoenixspire, and held a legacy of Celestial descent to live up to.
They wouldn't have an easy life... |

| Blasting aside the last of the skeletons in his way, Elijah finally came within meters of the necromancer who turned with a cruel smirk to face him. "Look at you, a weak old man come to fight for his family's lost cause." The Necromancer let out a small laugh, raising both hands that surged with dark energy. "You got the old part right." Eli remarked, before shooting his palms forward quickly. From them crackled a large beam of blue energy, surging and pulsing the more he focused on it.
In retaliation his attack was met with an equally large beam, this time of dark necrotic energy. The two sides struggled and pushed against each other, neither one gaining any significant advantage at the moment. "You can't win!" The Necromancer shouted, to which Eli simply remained silent, focusing on pushing against his opponents energy. |

| Revereth stood proudly before the advancing necromancers. It would be a cold day in hell before he let such vile people get to the hatchlings of his people. There was no discussion, no banter. In an instant, the two necromancers were throwing spells at him, balls of disease and acid flying wildly towards him. With a mighty roar, fire leapt from his jaws, engulfing the first group of undead, turning them to ash.
As the necromancers closed in, Revereth realized that he was too big of a target as a ball of acid splashed against his wing. He quickly morphed back into his human form, drawing his revolvers and putting a bullet in the head of a nearby zombie. He dove behind a large rock as more spells were cast at him, popping up only to drop two more zombies. |

| Suddenly Elijah dropped his attack, disappearing entirely from the thin air that was now blasted with necrotic energy. For a second the necromancer thought he had incinerated the wizard, but a sharp pain in his back proved that to be wrong. Now behind the Necromancer stood Elijah, a blue dagger conjured from arcane magic in his hand planted in the spine of his opponent.
As life slipped away from the Necromancer, his minions around began to falter. The key to winning this battle was to take out the Necromancers until there were none left to keep the undead animated. Scanning the horizon though Elijah noticed there were quite a few to be taken care of.
It seemed this would be an eventful battle... |

| Rvereth walked out from behind his cover, his revolvers raised as spells flew past him. One shot from his arc pistol hit a zombie in the head. Two shots from his pistols flew into skeletons, taking them out once and for all. Three shots found themselves buried in a Necromancer's chest, sending him sprawling. Four shots found their marks in the ranks of the dead as he moved, relying on his instinct as an experience gunslinger to carry his hand.
He moved back behind cover, a different rock, several yards away, reloading his weapons. He had enough ammo to deal with these guys, but he wasn't sure if he had the time before the hordes of the Undead overwhelmed him. Where were the rest of his people" Why were they not aiding him in the protection of their young? |

| From a bright blue flash Elijah appeared across the battlefield, hurling blasts of energy at another Necromancer. His efforts across the warzone had been noticed, specifically by the dragons flying overhead. They realized by his actions that the Necromancers needed to be prioritised and so they began strafing runs to reign fire down upon each one.
Locked in another battle of magic, Elijah teleported again to dodge a shard of dark energy. Once safe, he then conjured his own shard, this one blue and fuelled by arcane power, and plunged it into the chest of this Necromancer. Another one fell, and yet he wasted no time teleporting to the next.
One by one he'd find them all... |

| Revereth popped back out of cover, firing rapidly once more into the crowd, targeting the far-off necromancers, hoping it would cause the undead to falter long enough for him to finish his job. Another fell, cut down by Revereth's onslaught of gunfire. He had never been one for finesse, but being a gunslinger was an art, not a profession. There. He spotted a necromancer that seemed to be leading the troope.
Unfortunately, he couldn't move to engage. Doing so would allow the undead to breach the hatchery, and then the young of his people would be killed, or worse, enslaved. He would not allow such a thing. He could only hope that he people showed themselves soon, else he would be overrun, and his mission would be a failure. He would shoot until he was out of ammo. Then he would slice until his knife was dull, and then he would transform and fight with tooth and claw until he was death. |

| More flashes across the battlefield signalled the fall of the Necromancers bit by bit. As the dragons and other GSU allies realised the tactic, patches of the undead army began to fall progressively into the dirt. The assault had faltered enough for defensive lines to be pushed forward. Soon enough it was less about resisting the onslaught and more about exterminating the remaining undead.
Elias switched up his tactics when this time came, hurling thin blades of energy to maximise how many skeletons he hit at once. This way he could cleave through the last pockets of the army, until barely bones and rubble remained. |

| "Status report." Talis stood upon the bridge of Heaven's Memory, watching from the view-screen the battle happening below on the planet's surface. "The Necromancers are being targeted, causing all surrounding undead to fall out of animation. It seems the battle is nearly over." An officer reported from Talis' right, before turning back to their screen. "Queen Jaya's uncle seems to be the one to thank for that." "Interesting, he returns." Talis took note, before turning off the bridge and down towards one of the ships corridors.
Eventually he reached Jaya's room, opening the sliding door to see her slowly awaken. "The battle is almost won, thanks to Elijah." He reported onto her, smiling somewhat. "Nice of him to show up." She smiled back, placing a hand on her stomach. "Dispatch the diplomats to make a deal with the dragons as soon as the fighting ends." |

| Just then, a slip-space portal opened up a few hundred meters above the battlefield, out of which a large GSU Phalanx-Class cruiser emerged. The cruiser stayed floating in its position as the portal closed behind it.
From its sides, multiple docking ports opened up and out flew eight Stryker-Class bombers, rapidly descending down onto the battlefield. The bombers dropped multiple explosives in areas where enemy numbers were more dense. Each explosion was a large release of plasma energy many meters in diameter.
A smaller figure fell from the ship, humanoid in shape. As he neared the surface, one could make out the faint outline of a Spartan. Two other Spartans also fell with him, trailing a bit behind. Just before reaching a few meters above the ground, the Spartans flipped themselves around so that their feet were facing the ground and activated their thrusters, softening their descent slightly.
Sebastian landed on top of two skeletons which he crushed under his weight while Natasha and Valeryie landed behind him. "Looks like we're late to the party." Sebastian said as he looked around at the stragglers. "Let's finish 'em off, Aqua. Weapons free!"
Sebastian walked forward slowly towards a large group of zombies and with precise aiming, took them down one by one with controlled bursts from his Nightingale Plasma Rifle. A bolt or two from the rifle was enough to melt through their pasty skin, boil any bodily fluids they had left in them and cause them to either explosively disintegrate or outright melt into the ground. Natasha however took a more close quarters approach and used her Inquisitor shotgun to confront a group of skeletons up close, disintegrating each one with single blasts from the automatic shotgun. Valeryie opted to stay back a bit and cover them with her Thunderbolt sniper rifle, the weapon's projectile penetrating multiple skeletons and zombies at a time and causing them to explode due to the immense kinetic energy hitting their bodies. |
