Fusion gas was a substance whose origin is kept highly secret, the recipe is under constant high protection as the volatile and toxic nature of the fusion gas must be protected vigilantly, the tanks were non explosive but when shot they might leak and then they would need to be destroyed, as such most guns have shields protecting the tanks to prevent a leak. The gas itself is highly poisonous and causes a substance to fill the lungs and causes the gastric glands to go into an overdrive, filling the stomach up with stomach acid, eventually leaking over to other organs and bursting the stomach and letting the acid leak through the rest of the body.
