| THE TOWER Home-planet: Black Garden. Members and Species: Basically everyone can join the ranks of Tower. Still, it’s mostly filled with Humans and Meif'wa. Description The Tower is a religious based faction. It's actually hard to say what religion they are following at all, but they seem to be praising their Empress, treating her like a Goddess of some sorts. Faction is actually a sort of Merchant Guild, since majority of it's power is coming from trading with other planets or Faction - even if it's not well knew (for now), they sure can make a great profit on their art. Meanwhile, The Tower is also a good willing group - Their Army is made out of so called Volunteers, skilled in combat as well as in social labours, like basic construction or basic medical training. Also, The Tower believes that their main purpose of being is to purge the galaxy from any form of evil - and leave only the good willing. History There's not much to say about beginning, or even history of The Tower at all. It's a pretty new faction. Everything was set about 30 years ago, on the Black Garden planet. People were lacking a good law enforcement around the colonies, what caused the corruption to raise. It was pretty much killing the planet - it couldn't really develop itself towards better tomorrow. And then, idea of Tower has been born. A young woman - now, our Great Red Rose Empress - has decided to do something for the better of Garden. And so, using her power that she get from being a higher official, she found a military group of good willing people. It wasn't a really a hard task - corruption basically started to Pass away because of threat made by new "Police" of the planet. Soon enough, whole group has grown so big that it turned to be the major power on the planet, what gave Rose Empress an absolute power. Still, she managed to keep her mind where the others would lose it - And so, to this very day, she rules The Tower and whole Garden with her soft, yet stable and sure hand. During the Faction's development, it turned out that the Best profit is made through trade - and so, Empress with help if her assistants managed to set up few main trade routes with other planets that now are providing a major part of Faction's wealth. Popular Symbols The Tower usually use three main colours on their equipment.
White - Indicating their Home-planet, ice-bond and snow covered Garden. Gold - Meaning the wealth and Merchant traditions. Blue - Symbolising law enforcement and their main purpose of purging the evil. Most recognizable symbols are:
Tower Wings - Most common symbol indicating The Tower military forces; commonly found on armours, spaceships, weapons and so on. (Simple stronghold tower with shapes indicated as wings in white colour; golden ring and light blue fill.)
Tower Coin - A typical symbol used by Tower merchants and Cargo fleets. Commonly found on cargo crates or Merchant purpose ships. (Same as Tower Wings, except wings.)
Strong sides + Merchant traditions has made this faction pose a great wealth, while also providing great merchant Officers, as well as a nice trading Fleet. + All soldiers are trained in many critical areas, from combat to basic work labour. It makes them a great help in any situation, from War to rebuilding of settlements. + Their armours are thick, and their morals are high! It's difficult to kill a Volunteer, not even talking about more elite units! Weak Sides - Due to intense training on many fields, soldiers aren't a Masters of any craft. They're decent soldiers when it comes to combat, but don't except much. - Defensive based, even with lightweight White Rose Steel their armours, ships and equipment are quite heavy. Military ForcesAs every military faction, Tower posses soldiers. And so, their soldiers have ranks as well. There are three main groups - Ground, Space and Officers Corps - And all of them have their ranks. Enlists and Students.
- Spoiler:
Student's uniform. "Let me show you how to serve the Empress before you will make a fool out yourselves."
Enlists and Students are first step in Tower's ranks. They're not treated as normal soldiers - they are too fresh to be called soldiers. Enlists are trainees of basic forces. They are putted into Strongholds, where they get their basic skills - usually taking few months of intensive training, either for ground or space purposes. Students are literary students of Tower's Officer Training Program. Those Boys and Girls are trained from their early days to become actual commanders of Tower forces over the galaxy. Usually, first promotion is at age of 18-20

Ground Forces
Volunteer
- Spoiler:
Volunteer with all-terrain protective armour.
Volunteers are basic soldiers from The Tower. Their ranks are filled up with enlists putted to ground forces, making first serious step in Tower's military. They are trained in many different fields - from basic combat training with most common types of weapons, by first aid and basic medicaments knowledge, as well as engineering and vehicles usage. With such knowledge, they can be assigned to many different tasks and basically fill up any lack of specialised soldiers, from bare ground combat to fighter dogfights or even spaceship crew assignment. However, they are generally used as backbone of ground forces, and that's what they are in best.
Comes from: Enlist Promotes to: - Specialist -Volunteer Commander - Guard Volunteer
Specialist
- Spoiler:
- - -
Specialists are special type of units. Well, they are actually a whole bunch of different units, all of them being - as the name suggest - specialised in many ways, depending on Specialist type. Let me introduce you few of them: (Colours used in names are indicating for said class.)
Medics - One of most loved specialist type among other units, medics take care of wounded and keeps soldiers alive during battles. They are skilled in many medicine fields, from first aid to field surgery. Equipped with range of medical stuff, they are really effective at saving lives. However, they are also allowed to shot down the wounded if there's no other option - they do it rarely, however.
Scout - Stealthy soldiers that are normally used for getting idea of enemy's moves, or sabotaging Tower foes. Light armoured, they are quite fragile to enemy fire, yet really effective in terms of mobility. They are usually equipped with disorienting tools, such as smoke and flash grenades, as well as Sharpshooter rifles, useable against light armoured enemies. Yet, weapons are matter of occasion.
Engineer - Those guys are the ones who set up defence lines, camps and even in-battle structures. They tend to use help of fellow volunteers in more simply tasks, what makes setting up structures a lot faster. They also can repair vehicles and repair special weapons that normal Volunteer wouldn't be able to.
Sniper - Deadly soldiers able to take down even oversized enemies with a single, precise shot from a distance. Tower use them to take down high-priority targets, however they are a rare sight. Often they are accompanied with team of Scouts.
AT - Anti-Tank soldiers, that aren't actually Anti Tank soldiers. They are specialised in heavy weaponry, especially the armour piercing ones, or those making big boom. They are usually a bit heavier armoured than typical Volunteer.
Comes from: Volunteer Promotes to: -> Crusader
Cadets
- Spoiler:
No ship is usable without crew.
Cadets are space soldiers of the Tower. They are different than Volunteers in many ways - First, they lack actual combat training except self defence, but instead of it, they are highly skilled in operating many space vessel's systems. They are visible on both military and civil vessels, from little Frigates to Capital Ships. However, they can't really stand a fight with their weapons with actual enemy.
Officers
- Spoiler:
Typical Officer uniform. Head Officers have golden endings on their uniforms.
Officers are head part of Tower forces. They act in many roles - as commanders of single space units, low-level field officers, merchants, accountants, police commanders and so on. Every officer have their own colour on their right arm, indicating their role. And so, Dark Blue are spaceship commander, when Black are field officers and White are keeping logistical roles. They are also Head Officers, highest commanding rank that can be acquired with normal promotion process. Those officers are holding most important positions - as, for example, Head Merchant Officer Jane Sonett, who is a main persona in merchant forces, and commands main Merchant Fleet.
“How can I enlist? “ Oh, that’s simple. All what you have to do is to Enlist in the closest Garden Colony, or ask head officer on the main Merchant Ships. They are allowed to accept and take new Volunteers back to the Black Garden, where they will receive training and proper equipment. |
