Description:
The Autumn Class cruiser is the UNSC's newest flagship-type vessel. Like the preceding (and discontinued) Marathon Class cruiser, the Autumn Class cruiser is used for the role of command ships due to their heavy armour and firepower. Recent developments in technology have also made it possible to equip this ship with highly durable energy shielding on top of their already resilient hull plating.
These ships are the backbone of fleets, typically commanded by officers at the rank of Rear Admiral or higher, though in one case they have been observed to be commanded by Captains in the case of the UNSC Destiny's Harbinger (destroyed during the Battle of Haven). These large ships also support a large complement of just over 1000 personnel.
