The Imperial navy/Armada is the cornerstone of the Empire's intergalactic military force and seen as the largest single force in the Empire.Unlike the Imperial Army it's leadership is appointed through the Imperial Security Council who ensures that each and every member world and state submits their naval officers in the ranking.
The navy consists of the combined forces of the Imperial fleets from various Imperial worlds,during maritime most of the fleets remain idle doing training maneuvers or patrolling their home system space.During war the fleet mobilizes at the command of the admirals and only in dire situations does the entire fleet combine into a singular "armada" to face a overwhelming force.
The Expeditionary Marine Corps works closely with the Navy due to the nature of the army unit.
