| The effects of Purge Magic on a lesser Undead Purge Magic Purge Magic is a form of magic that originated from the realm of Purgatory and appears as a white fire. It's power is similar to Holy Energy in the way it is extremely effective against Demons, Undead, Incorporeal Beings, and other 'evil' or 'corrupt' beings. The difference though is that Purge Magic is much stronger and, as a consequence, much harder to control or master. Because it manifests as such a raw and powerful energy, it can not be wielded "by-hand" like any other magic. Instead Purge energy is used through enchantments most commonly on blades or sometimes armour. By enchanting an item or rune with Purge energy, it can channel the magic and allow the user to cast Purge Magic as if he were a wielder of the energy itself. However, strongly enchanted Purge blades can only be wielded by those completely clean of all corruption. In cases such as the sword Blightslayer, whoever touches the hilt to try and wield it will be purged of all corruption including but not limited to; any entities inside them, any dark magic affinity, any corruption of the mind or body. For example when Daniel Almis wielded Blightslayer, the demonic entity inside of him was ripped out and slain, turning him into a normal human with pure white hair and orange eyes. A similar case happened to Jaya Almis, who upon wielding the blade purified her Phoenix wings into those of an Angel's, subsequently becoming a pure Angel. Immensely corrupt or weak beings who try to wield such blades are likely to be disintegrated by it's power. When struck by a purge enchanted blade or weapon, it's magic leaves behind a white burning which can be slightly painful for normal beings and extremely agonising, or even fatal, for undead or corrupt beings. Very few people know of the methods of purge enchantment, the majority of which are either Wardens on Oblivion or Forgemasters on Purgatory. |
