| The Riftspawn Demons Touched by the energy of the Rift near Hades, these new breeds of demons carry powers tenfold that of their lesser parts. Even Archdemons do not hold the energy of the Rift within themselves. Easily noticed by the glowing blue eyes, these Riftspawn are generally faster, stronger and smarter than their counterparts. They also hold the power to summon Rift magic at will, which includes teleportation and the manipulation of it's energy to be used as a powerful weapon. Almost every species of demon has been subject to produce Riftspawn versions, and so (as seen above) they come in massive varieties. The Chosen Anguished souls of those sent to perish in Hades and Oblivion have been chosen to serve the Crusade in rebirth. These rare yet immensely powerful beings appear frail, tanless and wearing tatterred robes. Despite these weak appearances they hold the strength of a minotaur mainly through magical enhancement. They too can control the Rift magic but to an even greater extend, being able to create illusions, barriers and even vicious minions from it's energy. The Leaders Finally united, the Four Horsemen serve as the Riftspawns leaders and as Generals of the Crusade. Despite some having their differences in the past they have now for the first time in millennia been able to become one, and they would not abandon each other over petty grievances. Death leads the four upon a pale horse with his scythe, reaping the souls of the defeated to repurpose for the Crusade's legions. War rides a flaming steed who's trail leaves destruction and chaos, making Death's harvest all the more fruitful. Pestilence can be seen upon a sickly horse, spreading his foul diseases of both body and mind into his enemies, giving his troops the upper hand. Famine's mount is thin and bare, but faster than any of the known world. With her own leeching powers she leaves behind only skeletons with minimum fat or flesh, for they both feed her power. |
