Tech-King Roi gazed down at a trio of starships being constructed in open space. As of the moment, the outer hull of the ships were nothing more than the Tinc ribbing and the interior bulkheads before the combat armor was to be riveted on. Roi spun around and quietly strolled along the brightly lit semi-circular bridge of his Kyodain battleship. A dozen Kyodain riggers casually tapped away at blue holographic consoles. 

“What might our new ship be called, rigger,” Roi asked. Not to any Kyodain in particular. He simply desired a creative answer from someone nearby. One of the Bolt-Cannon operators looked up at the starships being constructed outside.

“The ship feels like it might be called Samurai, Tech-King,” the rigger replied, “Our friends in the nearby Human colony name them ancient warriors with a strong code of honor. The name would be apt for our new starship.”

“That is a fitting name,” Roi replied as he watched the numerous construction suits buzz around the 1,500 meter long cruiser. He buzzed in anticipation to see their brand new Samurai Class Cruisers ready for action.

A few Centi-cycles later, the starships were complete. Their rounded hulls bristling with bolt-cannons and railguns. Tech-King Roi smiled under his breather mask as he gave command of the battleship to a Tech-Master. Roi strolled quickly down a few hallways and grav-lifts before boarding a Battlesuit Seijo and setting course for one of the three brand new Cruisers Samurai. He gazed in awe at the massive ships as he flew by, making sure to do a few rotations around every angle to drink in the sight of Kyodain’s new ships. They appeared to be in a general bullet shape. With the upper and side parts covered in rounded armor plating. Certain parts of more heavily armored bits lined the sides while a small section of rounded armor covered the launch bay. Roi quickly docked and traveled up to the command bridge. It appeared in a similar fashion to that of the Battleship. But there were now two rows of consoles as well as a central command station for the ship’s leader and a pair of helpers. Those being a Master-Priest and a Tech-Master. Roi approached the station.

“Kyodain, today we will test our new Samurai Cruisers in battle against Seraphim clan Kings,” Roi stated simply before punching in the order to warp to King’s mothership. Twenty Combat Frigates, ten battleships, and forty frigates fell into formation around the three Samurai Cruisers as they jumped into warp.

It was only a short flight before arriving at Clan King’s deep space asteroid field. The sizable Kyodain fleet dropped out of warp, starting with the three Samurai Cruisers and followed by the dozens of other ships gradually popping out of warp, each moments after the other. Tech-King Roi hesitated over the command to attack.

“Give me a schematic of Kings’ fleets.” Roi requested. A holographic image popped up from the central command table, revealing a moon sized mothership with hundreds of Frigates swarming around. Roi examined the image closer. In addition to the many hundreds of frigates, it appeared that Clan King also possessed a large fleet of makeshift vessels. Human cruisers and frigates. Even a strange looking fighter design. There were even designs not dissimilar to those of Kyodain’s own Combat Frigates. However, Clan King possessed nothing nearly as advanced as Kyodain’s battleships and cruisers. The Tech-King smiled grimly and punched the attack command.

Swarms of Kyodain battlesuits immediately launched from their docking bays as the fleet’s sublight ion engines flared to life. Each ship charging headlong towards Clan King’s fleet.

Tech-Lord Sal scowled from his faded white chair in Mothership King’s ancient command center, buried deep within the halls of the giant ship. He punched a few buttons and yelled at his Riggers to retaliate against the Seraphim fleet who clearly dared to defy his might.

“You idiots, this clan shall not defy my authority over my field or my technology,” Sal shouted at the numerous flickering screens depicting the enemy ships, “They have a microscopic fleet compared to mine. I will see it destroyed.”

Hundreds of frigates and fighters, Both Seraphim and human swarmed towards the comparatively small Kyodain fleet. Mixtures of Arc rounds and bullets flew through cold darkness of space towards Kyodain’s bright fleet of starships. Much of the fire was centered around the three massive ships in Kyodain’s center. Tech-Lord Sal bared his spiky teeth into a grin as he awaited the complete and utter destruction of this daring enemy fleet.

Roi smiled grimly as he watched the gigantic swarm of rickety Serahpim technology barreled towards the Kyodain fleet. It appeared that the Tech-Lord on the other side had absolutely no intent on talking things out and surrendering his Mothership for Kyodain's light. Roi had truly hoped to bring more Seraphim into Clan Kyodain peacefully, but that clearly wasn't the case.

"Deploy Battlesuits," Roi requested. Almost immediatly a soothing sound and blue lights flashed on a nearby console as hundreds of varied battlesuits deployed from the Samurai-Class Cruisers and battleships. They flew into organized ranks, patiently waiting for the tsunami of Serahpim pirates descended on the Kyodain fleet. Seconds felt like minutes as the Kyodain anticipated, their fingers on triggers, consoles, and whatever their chosen station was.

Then the Serahpim finally struck.

The electrical streaks of Arc-Fire consumed the air as the Serahphim fighters struck first, Kyodain battlesuits responded in kind, bipedal mechs twisted and turned in the frictionless abyss between worlds as they deftly darted around the Serpahim fighters, explosions peppered the void as fighters fell. The frigates and cruisers followed soon after, meeting head on with the overwhelming railgun and arc-cannon fire of the Samurai-Class cruisers. Arc-Rounds slammed into shield and hull alike as Seraphim frigates crumbled apart under intense Kyodain Firepower.

Tech-Lord Sal growled in barely contained rage. His incredible, massive fleet had met a wall against a few puny rival Seraphim. Even if their ships seemed bigger than normal, it didn't matter. There was no way any enemy force should be able to rival Sal's own. He had spent nearly a decade pillaging the sector unrivaled, after all. He would never allow anyone to upsurp his power, ever.

"Send in the Cruisers," Sal shouted at his riggers, several of those nearby winced, "And drive Mothership right over them. My clan will never lose to puny rival Serpahim."

No words of agreement were spoken, the Riggers merely obeyed. With a few commands, the faint rumble of the mothership's gigantic ion engines could be felt through the bulkheads. The faint glow of activated turrets and sent commands flowed across red command panels as commands were sent about and the Serpahim lan's handful of twenty battlecruisers advanced forwards alongside their mothership.

Tech-King Roi expertly hid his grim expression in the center of his Samurai-Class cruiser's circular command center. He hated to kill so many Seraphim, so many of his own species. Even if the uncountable number of crimes the pirate clan might have committed, Roi hated to slaughter them so completely. That was the only reasonably happy thing he could think of after all: the hard labors of the Kyodain Tech-Priests had produced results far beyond what anyone could have expected. Or the opposing clan of Seraphim had far less technological prowess than the scouts had predicted. Roi preferred to believe the latter.

The explosions of enemy fighters peppered the space between Kyodain ships as they maintained a continuous wall of firepower, crushing the opposing frigates. Meanwhile, enemy fire slowly whittled away at the forward ships. Panzer-class frigates began reporting shields falling down to fifty percent and the enemy's cruisers and mothership had now begun advancing. Roi frowned and tapped a few commands into the console ahead of him. His tech-master council nodded in agreement and the Kyodain fleet slowly began advancing, cutting a clean line through the enemy Seraphim fleet towards the mothership.

The Seraphim Tech-Lord smiled greedily. By now, it was clear that they were whittling down the outer frigates of the opposing fleet, and the edge the humanoid enemy mech-fighters were gradually losing it as a handful slowly collapsed under whithering firepower of multiple wide E-class fighters. And now, the Seraphim cruisers were slowly closing in on the enemy. Streaks of reddish light erupted from the tips of the Seraphim's five cruisers, each streaked into one of the enemy frigates, piercing clean through the shields and through the hull. There was no critical damage, but the puncture and destruction of the shields gave the other Seraphim frigates a perfect opportunity to press their attack. Red bolts of light collided with the forward enemy frigates as the two fleets slowly advanced towards each other. And slowly but surely, a handful began to fall apart under the weight of their own assault.

The forward Frigates were about to fall, and quickly. The surrounding riggers and Tech-Masters frantically typed out and launched commands in an attempt to save the frigates, or at least their crew, before the Panzers collapsed upon themselves. Tech-King Roi could only watch in despair as he commanded several wings of emergency dropships to charge forward and retrieve any survivors while under heavy guard from dozens of wings of battlesuits and the battleships. Then it dawned on him; to destroy the enemy, he must destroy the leader and take Lordship of this enemy clan as his own. Roi grimly transferred total command to the resident Tech-Baron overseeing commands of the ship itself as he requested the last remaining wing of Battlesuits to scramble and meet his personal battlesuit for a charge into the heart of the enemy. Roi did not expect many of the Tech-Knights - or himself for that matter - to survive the assault on the enemy Tech-Lord. Still, it turned out that Every knight he requested was more than happy to assist their Tech-King in a desperate bid to save the the Clan.

The launch itself went smoothly, as did the flight through the Kyodain fleet. Easily picking off smaller corvettes and fighters as they glided through the abyss. Things heated up the further they traveled through the enemy Seraphim fleet. Streaks of red enemy Arc-fire flew about as the ships themselves deftly dodged enemy targeting computers and fighters alike until they finally reached their end goal: the docking bay. Here, the enemy Seraphim fighters couldn't hope to destroy the Kyodain battlesuits without sererely damaging their holy mothership, allowing Tech-King Roi and ten knights to disembark and begin charging down the halls to their throne room.

Red warning lights immediately beeped out of control as the Tech-Lord was notified of several dozen rival fighters boarding his holy mothership. He barely resisted screaming in rage as he hefted a specially customized arc-greatsword and ordered thirty riggers to fill the halls between the command center and the docking bay while the lord personally advanced to slaughter the enemy Tech-Lord. Riggers stomped through the hall as they set up their Arc-cannons and rifles in preparation for the oncoming meager eleven rivals to his authority.

Reports came flooding in as Riggers were downed by superior enemy firepower. Bodies were piled high enough to crouch behind as the Tech-Lord finally approached the front and raised his arc-greatsword in challenge.

"I call your Lord before thee in combat for the head. Arc-blades only," the Tech-Lord called. All fire stopped as the rival seraphim stepped forward.

Tech-Lord Roi drew his paired Arc-swords in reply, crouching low and shaking his paired blades high in agreement to the formal duel ahead of them. He charged, blades held low against the Tech-Lord's greatsword raised high. The following strike barely took more than a moment. Both Arc-Swords sliced level with the ground as Roi sliced clean through the enemy Tech-Lord's stomach, removing the Lord's torso from his legs. Roi responded by simply sheathing his blades and facing towards the thirty rival Seraphim who had now dropped their weapons in disbelief.

"As per the mantra of the Seraphim," Tech-King Roi said in the guttural, clicking tongue of the true Seraphim Language, "Kyodain is your new lord and leader, with Tech-King Roi as it's master, you will be guided in the ways of research and achievement as a whole, rather than the petty orders of a filthy lord."

With that, Roi spun around, cape fluttering as he marched towards his squadron of Battlesuits and floated back to his lead Samurai-Class cruiser in the midst of silent guns and starships wallowing in the defeat of their lord. Soon enough, though, this Seraphim clan would see the light of the Kyodain.
