Aiko struggled against the chains that held her against the wall. She had been thrown in an underground prison along with some other people for being 'supernatural'. She had come to this place from a different planet and her gear was apparently making her stand out and this is what happens. And, there were others too, the ones chained against the wall just like her.

They had chained her in a very uncomfortable way. She was kneeling right next to the wall with her lap chained down, her arms had chains around them holding them to the wall and her hands had been put in a metal wristband so she couldn't move them. She also had a blindfold over her eyes so she couldn't see anything that was happening. Her weapons like her guns and a few daggers were taken to a room where they put all the weapons of the prisoners.

Aiko mumbled under her breath and then sighed. She didn't think she would be getting out of here anytime soon, same with the others. Aiko moved her head up like she was looking at someone and proceeded to say, "So, anyone got a plan of getting out of here cause I don't? Well...actually...I was thinking if someone that could help us was outside of this prison they could find a way to open the cell and let us loose but who would be out there willing to help us?." She waited to see if anyone would respond.

Mortimus tilted his head towards the other person in the cell. He was also chained, his wrists above his head. He had been investigating a series of murders on earth when he ran into a group of heavily armed mercenaries. He was subdued and knocked up, waking up in this small room, chained with his revolver missing. Having no eyes he had no need for a blind fold and so could see the girl on the other side.
"I wouldn't count on it." He replied in his cold dry voice. "I doubt many people know we are here." He paused as he assessed the situation. "But I think I can find a way out."

Aiko was almost relieved that someone actually replayed to her. She was ready to get out of here and she wouldn't leave the others if there was a way everyone could escape. All ears, she listened to what he had to say. Hearing that he may know a way out she leaned forwards an inch showing she was interested. "Well if you know a way out, care to share it?" She was trying to act as serious as she could but her soft voice already made her sound so weak.

"Umm well..." He actually hadn't thought of a way out yet, despite his acute detective skills. He coughed, stalling for time. If only he could get his hands free from these wrist chains... He stopped. Wrists. "I could escape from my chains and come and help you but..." He paused. "Do you have any bandages, tape or something like that?"

As polite as Aiko was she got a little annoyed because she clearly realized he had never thought what he had in mind through. She started listening again when he started to really talk and not stall. When asked if she had any bandages or tape she hesitated in mid thought. Hmm...before I chained in here I did have some bandages in the pocket of my sweatshirt. I know that they never took them away because they didn't count as a weapon. Snapping out of mid-thoughts she replyed, "Last I checked there were bandages in the pocket of my sweatshirt but I don't know how I could get them out."



After what she said she kind of felt useless. How would they ever escape if they couldn't get out of the chain. She laid her head against the wall as she waited for him to start talking again.

"Right, good. I'm going to need them." He took a breath into his none existent lungs before leaning forward, pulling at the chains. The chain groaned as he pulled his wrists against them. Suddenly, Mortimus jerked forward, pulling his arms from the wall. The clatter of bones rattled beside him. The chain had broken his wrists, separating his hands from his arms, freeing him from the wall. Using the stubs of bone on his wrists, Mortimus managed to pick up his hands, carrying them over to the woman.
"Okay, now to get you out."

Aiko had no clue why he even needed bandages. Was he injured or something? She flinched hearing the rattling of bones and chains moving around. It was made clear that he had removed himself from the wall but how she wondered. She was very curious now, she couldn't see anything that was happening because of the stupid blindfold covering her eyes. As she heard him say, "Okay, now to get ou out." she felt a surge of energy. They could get out of these chains! But, what would they do once they got out of the chains, they still would have a cell to get out of? She kept quiet as she waited for something to happen

Now that he was free of the chains, Mortimus could feel the dark magic that naturally coalesced inside him. It seemed they were designed to disrupt magic, which explained why he couldn't unlock the chains. However, he could feel the magic flow across his bones once again. He moulded it and funnelled iit into his stubs. The magic flowed out and into the keyholes of the chains keeping the woman bound. He could feel the tumblers inside the locks and began to manipulate them. Without hands it took much longer that he expected.
"The names Mortimus Vrax by the way. Private detective."

Aiko could sense right away he used magic which she thought was cool but dangerous. As he was trying to unlock the chains on her he introduced himself. She could think of anything else but introduce herself now. "Well, nice to meet you Mortimus I'm Aiko." She thought it was cool that he was a detective because you need some important skills to be one. She suddenly realized that she was still blindfolded which was really uncomfortable. "Oh uh, if you can, can you take this blindfold off me?" Aiko that it was really awkward asking for someone to take a blindfold off her but she kept quiet.

"One moment Aiko, almost got it."  After a few moments there is a click as the tumblers in the looks move into the correct places, freeing her arms and lap. "Finally." He muttered as the chains fell. He gathered up his hands and gave Aiko a moment.

Aiko sighed with relief as the chains came undone and she lurched forward slightly. She stretched her arms that were in that uncomfortable position all that time and moved her legs around to get used to it. Almost forgetting that she had a blindfold on her, she undid the tie and took the cloth of her eyes. She adjusted to the light in the cell and blinked her eyes a few times like a newborn kitten. She turned towards Mortimus and looked at him, "Thank you so much for freeing me from these chains. Now, do you have any idea how we could get out of this cell and then escape--" she cut short of her sentence as she looked at the top right corner of the cell. There was an air vent, to high up for a single person to reach but if anyone was to get into it, it might lead to a way out. But, yet again it could lead to somewhere that could kill them. She said nothing but pointed at the vent. "There, could that be our way out?" 

Mortimus looked at Aiko. Strange, most people freak out when they see him. His white skull glinting in the dim light. He looked back over his shoulder at the vent. His mind wandered. Small vent... 2foot by 3 foot... big enough... Purpose?... gas vent... poisonous?... no, would smell it...Ventilation? ... small room... metal walls... no window... most likely an air vent.
"I think your on to something. But first could you give me a hand." 
He nods at the two gloved hands on the floor and his skeletal stubs.

Aiko could kind of read his thoughts at first at why she wasn't afraid or in shock of his appearance. Truth is that she doesn't care how others look because in her eyes everyone is equal and can look any way they want. Seeing that his gloved hands were on the ground she went over to them a little clumsily because she was still getting used to walking because of all that time she was chained down. Reaching down she took the hands which kind of made her feel weird but she brought them back over to Mortimus. With his hands attached to his body again helped a lot. "Now, do you think we could fit through the vent or do you have another plan that could work?"

Mortimus thanked Aiko for bandaging his hands back on. The dark magic flowed and started to rebuild the connection. He stood and walked over to the vent.
"This is as best idea as any." Putting his back against the wall he cupped his hands in front of him. "Come on, I 'll give you a boost."

Aiko smiled after he thanked her then she returned to being serious. They needed to get out and who knows where out could be. Seeing that he was going to give her a boost she walked over. He boosted her up into the vent and she turned around to see what was there. There were tunnels through the vent going different directions that could lead really anywhere. Turning around she said, "There are lots of tunnels going different directions up here. I don't know where they lead but one could be a way out."

"Hmmm.." Mortimus thought for a while before responding. "Light, follow the tunnel that's the lightest. It'll probably lead to a main room where air is pumped. Otherwise you can smell. Fresher tunnels light be safer." He wasn't sure if his advise made sense but he stuck with it anyway as he boosted her up into the vent before pulling his way in after, his wrists still weak and barely attached.

The vents were a little small but they managed to fit in. Aiko was confused by his words of smelling if it was fresh or not. She had a bad sense of smell and she wasn't an animal. She was about to say something but decided to keep it to herself because it might come out rude.

Glancing around she was looking to see what tunnel looked the brightest. According to her eyes, it was the passage that went left. She signaled Mortimus to follow her and they began through the left tunnel. They kept going down it until it reached a dead end. She was very confused, how was there light through this tunnel when it's just a dead end? "How---wait!" She quickly looked up to be met with another passage that went straight up and then turned to somewhere else. "How could someone possibly climb up that! Well, this way is out of the answer, should we go back?"

Mortimus thought for a moment. Then he took off his gloves.
"Up is good. Up is most likely to be and exit." With his bone hands he felt the air, felt the particles that made it, every single one. Then we channelled his magic once more, letting coalesce in his palms. He then pushed, pushed against the air particles between himself and Aiko. It was like a wind was building inside the vent and slowly she slid across the metal. As Mortimus pushed harder, she started to rise, gliding up the vent on top of a cushion of air. He pushed her up till she was level with the top of the shaft where it opened into another room.

At first, Aiko was surprised that Mortimus thought Up was good because she had no clue how they could get up there. Mortimus started to use magic and all of a sudden she felt herself rising. She was shocked at this, the only words that slipped out of her mouth were, "Woah..". As she was pushed higher and higher up she finally emerged over the top into a new room. The magic stopped and she gently fell to the ground. Standing up she realized this was not a room but a hallway unguarded. She called down to him, "Hey, it opens into a hallway up here. It's unguarded and probably one of these doors lead to the room containing all the weapons." She waited to hear his response.

Instead of responding, Mortimus put his hands to his side, feeling the particles of air under himself. He pushed again, slowly floating up the vent, slowly coming to a stop next to Aiko. He stood up, brushing off some dust that seem to permanently cover his coat. He looked up and down the corridor and nodded.
"I think you may be right." He put his gloved back on and slowly crept down the corridor, listening and looking through doors and he went and signalling Aiko to check the doors on the other side.

Lucifer hears people talking in the other room near him and puts his ear against the door trying to make out what they're saying more clearly. As the conversation stops he hears moving sounds coming for someone up higher. Lucifer then looks up and back down saying "There's other people here... Interesting. They must've found out about the hidden treasure like I did" as he opens a door in front of him looking left and right then closing it trying not to make it seem like he was previously there. Lucifer then walks into a room filled with weapons and says "Now this is what I'm talking about" as he looks at all the weapons to choose from Lucifer chooses an assault rifle to carry. Then after he chose and took the weapon he closed the door behind him and then opens the door with a blood stain spelling out 'Leave here' as Lucifer started walking into a long hall way.

As Mortimus gestured her to check all the doors on the opposite side of the hall she did so. None of the doors was anything we wanted or they were sealed firmly. As Aiko made her way to the final door on that side she heard something. She thought Someone else is here.....I heard footsteps...or something. Turning towards Mortimus she whispered, "Someone else is here I believe. I heard footsteps and maybe even a door closing."  Aiko couldn't tell where this person or being was, all she knew that he could be right behind them or in one of these rooms. Was he a threat or was he someone they could trust.



She turned back towards the door and laid her hand on the doorknob. This could be the door to the weapons. The door was metal with no window but it hadn't been sealed. "Shall I open it or is that something we shouldn't risk? The person could be in there or behind us simply" She was too afraid to turn around to see if anyone was there. She didn't want anyone to see through her though because deep down inside she was just a scaredy cat....a wimp.

Mortimus had also heard the sound and had turned around to check. As Aiko talked, he stood up and turned to face the way they came. He spoke and for the first time in almost a century, there was fear in his voice.
"Aiko, get out of here." A figure was standing in the corridor behind them, leaving a door further down the hall. Mortimus looked down at her. "Its a Demon." It was Demons that had given Mortimus and the rest of the Nakrax their undead forms. It was Demons who invaded their homes and killed millions. A burning fury grew within Mortimus. He reached for his revolver only to find it wasn't there. Instead he raised his fists. "Stay back Demon. You wont harm us and we won't harm you." He slowly backed away, gesturing Aiko to do the same.

Seeing Mortimus turn around Aiko felt a little relieved until there was fear in his voice. He told her to get out of here which frightened her to the core. Turning around slowly she saw what was the problem. A demon. She had a flashback and remembered when her friend was murdered by a demon. There was pure fear in her eyes and almost teared up. She snapped out of it and quickly rubbed her eyes embarrassed. She treated all as equal but she was afraid of demons unless they were nice which she could fall in a trap if they act nice and trick her. Seeing Mortimus back up she did the same and when he said that we won't harm him so he shouldn't harm us she nodded in agreement. Her hands trembled but she waited to see what would happen.
