| Name: Mars/Edom (Forerunner designation) Habitable: Yes Terrain: Near Earth-like conditions due to terraforming Size: Medium Population: 100% Human Location: 120 degrees from Earth (Virtually right next to in terms of grid reference)
Development Thread: N/A
Technology: Colonised by the UNSC. Major industrial center of UNSC weaponry, equipment and vehicles. Central hub of the Orbital Drop Shock Troopers (ODST). Therefore any technology present on the planet is owned by the UNSC.
History: In 2080, Mars was the first planet colonized by humanity in the first wave of interplanetary colonisation in the late 21st century. Following its colonization—largely driven by corporations eager to break free from the restrictions of Earth's gravity and international law—Mars quickly became a hub of industry and state-of-the-art scientific research. Advancements were made particularly in the areas of nano and biotechnologies; largely robotics-driven industrial manufacturing and spacecraft construction flourished, the latter most notably in the Argyre Planitia. Even before the planet was terraformed, Mars was one of the largest industrial hubs in the Sol system. With the advances in terraforming technology that accompanied this boom of technological development, Mars was transformed into a planet with near-Earth conditions, becoming home to many.
Description: Due to the process of terraforming, Mars has become a near-identical Earth twin. The planet has been described as "as green and blue as Earth" in contrast to it's desert-like, red appearance from when it was first discovered. The planet is under the UEG (Unified Earth Government) and as such, is within the restrictive boundaries of the laws set by the UEG. Mars is home to many human colonists and also the central hub of the ODST's. Furthermore, the planet is a major industrial location; home to many advancements in technology, weapons and miscellaneous fields of tech. |

| @Aaron-157Since Mars is in the same system, and therefore directly on top of Earth on the map, it won't be given it's own label on the map. However for information purposes I still approve this. |
