with sylvia being the kind that sneaks into compounds to free illegaly taken prisoners, it was imagineable she was not very loved by crime syndicates, this was evident by most of these mobsters putting bounties on her head, wich by now sylvia was used to, with her past mostly consisting of her being a runaway captive of her father's empire. they were a medieval army though these men were sly maffia and got a hold of her.

she layed completely tied in the trunk of a car being unable to speak properly too because of some convenient tape placement, with her being unable to call out for help from her animals, her big lycanbear just lumbers around the place not being able to find it's master. she found out she could maybe attract attention by kicking the side of the car, making it shake. she hoped she could get out of this predicament soon before the maffia owner of the car came back...

Ryckert gave a quick glance at his contract while he waited for the traffic light to change. It was a run of the mill contract, go look for someone, find them, bring them back. This one had come from a baron in one of the lesser core worlds. The baron’s daughter had been captured after she had been messing around with the wrong crowd, trying to rebel against daddy an it came to bite her in the ass. Ryckert grinned, he could only imagine the fear and confusion going on in that spoiled brat’s mind. The abductors had been a local mafia click that made some of its money from hostage situations, took important people by force, and then made the family pay back for them. Though most of the time the only thing the family got was a severed finger in a nice velvet box.
 
The light turned green and Ryckert floored it. His hover bike when off in a whoosh into the darkening horizon. It had begun to sprinkle, the cool drips of water hugging his leather jacket as he cut through traffic. Ryckert’s location was some compound in the warehouse district of the city.
 
“Clearly keeping the goods there, or at least some of the goods,” Ryckert said to himself as he rounded a corner and got to the large warehouse compound.
 
He parked his hover bike and got off, the rain starting to pick up. Ryckert had brought a silenced pistol and a tactical SMG incase things with to shit. Ryckert put them in the holsters inside his black leather jacket, alongside his twin hand cannons. This are of the city was dark, since it was a warehouse district almost everyone was gone, but there were a few lights shining from within the compound. Rycker removed his bike helmet, placed it on the seat of his bike and made his way to the nearest wall guarding the compound. There was one small section that didn’t have spikes or barb wire, Ryckert looked left and right and theen jumped up and over the wall. He landed on one knee, the only sound being a light splash from the building rain water.
 
It was pouring now, which only made Ryckert’s job easier. The compound was large, there were a few warehouses, a two story building that had some lights coming from its second story building, and a watchtower on the west side, Ryckert coming in from the east. Ryckert crouched down and made his way very slowly along a line of parked cars. Some of those cars were very nice, clearly these were the higher ups of whatever mob was running this place. As ryckert made his way down he heard an increasingly loud thumping sound.
 
‘Thump, thump, thump.’
 
Ryckert stopped. Was it the rain? No, it was too loud. Ryckert removed his silenced pistol from its holster and tried to follow the noise.
 
‘thump, thump, thump.’
 
It was getting louder and it was starting to annoy Ryckert; this sound could attract the guards. Ryckert took a couple more steps before he located the source of the sound. It was the boot of a car with someone clearly trapped inside. Ryckert almost thought of leaving whoever was in there trapped, but this could cause problems for him. Ryckert took out his knife and began fiddling with the lock, popping it open and revealing a young elf woman looking at him with shocked eyes.
 

“Who the fuck are you and why are you in the boot of a car, you silly little thing?”

there was tape over her mouth, most likely in an attempt too keep her from making too much noise but failed horribly as the kicking against the trunk drew the attantion of ryckert apparently. she could not speak through the tape and answered with an annoyed glare.

she sat upright and turned around, prompting him to remove the ties. but she was also recognizable as 'the witch' that almost got incinerated who tried to attack him afterwards. meanwhile her beast found his master and walked over to the car, sitting next to it while ryckert pulled on her knots.

she pushed certain knots his way, specifically the one keeping her arms immobilized as she could probaply do the rest on her own.

Ryckert narrowed his eyes when he recognized the elven woman he had seen weeks ago in the low tech world he was vacationing in. Ryckert remembered when the foolishly eager girl tried to attack him, maybe just planting a bullet in her head and leaving her there would be for the best, keep her from interfering in his job. Sylvia just glared at Ryckert, almost as if she could read his mind. Ryckert grinned, he was asucker for women with a little sass in them and decided to untie her. Ryckert helped her sit up and untied Sylvia’s hands, then he ripped the tape that was used to keep her quiet. It hurt.
 
“Well, well, well, what the hell are you doing here and why can’t I get rid of you and your monstrous dog?” Ryckert said, waving around his silenced pistol as he spoke.
 
The rain was heavy now and they were both getting drenched, Ryckert held up his to keep her from answering and motioned for her to follow him to a nearby shed where tools for the warehouse were kept.
 
Once under the cover of the shed Ryckert put his gun on safety and gave his attention to Sylvia.
 

“Now, are you going to be a problem, little lady?”

she sighs arogantly as she sees ryckert recognizes her and prepares for some nagging at the very least if not an attempt on her life. she was however surprised by him deciding to untie her. of course he had to rip off the tape, it couldnt be otherwise, she winces as the tape is ripped off but she keeps quiet in response to ryckert's gesture and gets up.

the rain was getting heavy and she puts on her hood that was already covering her ranger armor and follows him towards the shed, under normal circumstances this would be against any womans instincts to follow someone somewhere this remote, but sylvia had her pistol in her quiver and with one swift movement ryckert would have a smoker round in his head if he tried anything. she listened ryckert out.

"depending on what you are up to, i will be of no trouble..."

The rain gently fell against the shed’s metal roof, creating rhythmic pitter patter that enveloped the temporary sanctuary Ryckert was using to try and gather his thoughts as to just what the hell was going on. The rain drops on his leather jacket glistened from the slithers of moonlight coming in from the small cracks in the aged walls. Ryckert felt the thin strands of water slide from his hair down to his face, his breath creating swirls of steam in the cold night air. Ryckert looked to Sylvia’s giant creature sitting next to her; it sat on its haunches, passively starring at Ryckert. There was no anger, no mistrust, just the simple understanding that if Ryckert tried anything, anything at all, the beast would be upon in in a second and end his just as fast. The creature licked its chops and starred from Sylvia to Ryckert.
 
A small beam of moonlight fell across Sylvia’s sharp featured face, softening her looks, making her mysterious and at the same time welcoming. ‘She isn’t half bad, when you think of it,’ Ryckert thought, before shaking the thought away, now was not the time for this.
 
"depending on what you are up to, I will be of no trouble..."
 
Ryckert grinned, he liked the fire in Sylvia, it made her more interesting than the usual rabble he came across. He wondered if he should tell her that he was here for some spoiled brat that didn’t listen to daddy, if Ryckert remembered correctly, the elf girl had a thing against slavers, she had ‘morals’, perhaps she could help? Ryckert was sure Sylvia couldn’t have any love for these mobsters considering she was being held against her will inside the trunk of a car. Maybe she was into the sort of thing?
 
Ryckert looked her up and down and decided she probable wasn’t the type.
 
“Look, elf girl, I’m here doing a job, I’m looking for someone who I’m quite certain doesn’t want to be here with these greasy loud mouths, taken as a way to coerce her father to pay up big for her release,” Ryckert said, pointing to the west side of the compound where he was certain his prize was being held.
 
“Now, I was brought in because these bastards don’t tend to return whomever they’ve taken after the money comes in, so I’m planning on getting her outta here and then pop a few holes into these clowns.”
 

“Now,” Ryckert said, turning his attention back to Sylvia,” Why are you here and why in the hell where you inside that trunk?”

Lucifer starts to walk across the compound with the rain pouring onto his face and jacket making his body seem glossy as he hear's someone talking. He then stops in his tracks and makes a left turn around to a shed with a metal roof where he heard the talking coming from. Lucifer put his ear on the side of the building hearing them inside talk. Lucifer takes off his ear from the building and says "Hmm. That's interesting. Who could be here at a time like this" as he starts to walk toward the front of the shed. Lucifer opens the door to the building seeing others in there and closes the door behind him looking at them both with an unsure look. "Who are you guys? I didn't know there was going to be a party over here, I wander why I wasn't invited"

"i was here for bussines, the old empire chasing me has a base here and i was gathering people to shut it down, but i was beaten over the head some time ago, i cant remember how long i've been in there because i woke up this morning i think..." she was quite surprised however, to hear that ryckert was on a mission to free a person, she always wanted to help free someone and gave him a warm smile.

"if you dont mind, could i come along on your mission? breakouts and infiltrations are somewhat a sepcialty of mine."

So, the elf girl was here on a mission, eh? An old empire, whatever that meant, was chasing her, did Ryckert want to make a potential enemy with an entire empire by helping her? Well, he didn’t have to help her, Ryckert thought, he could just use her to help him out with his current bounty; Getting that girl and returning her to her father. The elf girl smiled at him and offered her help, she just couldn’t pass up the chance to save someone. Ryckert grinned, this was good, she knew how to fight and could use her in taking down the guards around this place. Even better, she didn’t ask for a share of the payment when the job was completed.
 

“Alright, girl, you got yourself a deal,” Ryckert held out his hand, the customary way of sealing a contract between bounty hunters,” help me find that girl and I will help you take down these fools.”

"very well...tell me, have you found a place to break in to yet...?" she says quietly. as she followed ryckert she brushed over her wrists, they hurted a bit from being tied for who knows how long. she drew her bow from her chestpiece and pulled a lens clip from her quiver and attaches it to her bowstring projecting a transparent arrow on the arrow holder.

"also, do you have a physical description of your mark?"
she looks at ryckert, curious if he would pull out a file for her so she knows who to look out for.

Ryckert reached into his back, under his jacket, and pulled out a small disc that was about two inches thick in the center and gradually became thinner at the edges.
 
“This is a small surveillance drone, doesn’t have a long range and about all it can do is send back video, but it should be good enough for what we need, finding a safe entrance and giving us a layout of the compound.”
 
Ryckert moved towards the door and opened it, he pressed lightly on the top of the disc and it slowly came to live. The drone began to spin until it was gently floating a foot away from Ryckert; he then gave it some hand signals and the drone floated up and away, mapping out the compound and sending the images back to Ryckert’s pocket computer.
 
“How she looks like? No, I never met the guy face to face, I received this job through a call. He simply said I should call out her name and she would respond to it, simple enough.”
 
His pocket computer vibrated and Ryckert pulled it out from his back pocket. He went through the information that the drone sent back and noticed a small window that looked like it led to a room with no one in it was open. It was too big for him, but the elf girl could fit in it, then she could open a door for him. Ryckert told the elf girl his plan and then looked at the giant fur ball that followed her around.
 

“What are you going to do about this guy? We should leave him here until we are done, it might give us away.”

she watched the little drone go, she thought these were funny whenever she saw them, wich was rarely. she wasnt too dissapointed with the lack of information, everyone in the compound will be freed if they got in. she looked at her bear and said. "perhaps i should leave him here for now...but he can come in as reinforcements when things go wrong..."
she looked at the window and climbed through it swiftly, she snuck around the base and quickly came across an entrance void of cameras and opened it. she waved at ryckert and threw a grapple gun down, so he could get over the wall and into the door. "so what do we do, dispatch of them silently or do i call my beast to run rampant in the compound?"

Ryckert caught the grapple gun in one hand and studied the device. Most modern worlds used grav boots, magnetic gloves, jump packs, or just plain magic to climb over large distances, it was almost…cute to see such old technology being handed to him. Ryckert had never used one, but he guessed at how it was supposed to work; he pointed the hook to the roof of the building and fired it. The grapple tightly grabbed onto the wall, Ryckert pulled on it to be sure, and made his way up.
 
"so what do we do, dispatch of them silently or do i call my beast to run rampant in the compound?"
 
Ryckert raised an eyebrow in slight confusion, they didn’t know the numbers or capabilities of the force stationed in the compound, but the elf girl was willing to go in guns blazing.
 
“No, let’s take it easy for now-“
 
Before Ryckert could finish his sentence a six foot three bear of a man opened the door to the room they were in and looked at Ryckert, then at Sylvia, then closed the door.
 
“Fuck” Ryckert whispered under his breath as he removed the silenced pistol from its holster and fired three times through the door.
 
The was a loud thud as the man fell back, his giant frame crashing against the floor.
 
“Thank the maker for that,” Ryckert said, his gun still pointed at the door,” Fucker almost got us.”
 
*Bzzt*
 
“HELP! Second floor, some fookin’ cunt just shot me in da chest! Get the fook up he-“
 
Ryckert ran to the door and opened it, where the huge fuck laid on the floor with a radio in one hand and a stupid look on his face when he realized he wasn’t holding a gun.
 
“Great move, dumb ass,” Ryckert said as he fired off three more shots at the man’s skull, covering the walls in brain and bits of skull.
Ryckert heard movement coming up from the end of the hall, they were coming, he turned to Sylvia and motined for her to follow him down the opposite hall, but then more men were coming from that side.
 
“Shit, let’s go back in, go!” Ryckert and Sylvian went back into the large room and closed the door behind them just as bullets came flying at them.
 
Ryckert ran to a corner and flipped a large desk over as improvised cover, then he reached into his pocket and pulled out his communications device.
 

“Raksha, get your ass in here, were pinned down on the second floor and we need an exit, bring the big boy toys!” Ryckert turned to Sylvia,” Keep your head down until my back up arrives, and make sure to stay the hell away from that mad man.”

sylvia activate her camo once the door opened and snuck out, although she was visible when you would look for her, but the attention went to ryckert who was still in plain sight. she managed to pick off a bunch of mobsters with her electrical arrows.

but meanwhile


"hmmmright..." rakshaha has been waiting for a while outside and he almost got bored and left, people already stayed away from the giant man with a mask and grenade launcher, he destroyed the gate and then the door to the compound, using his shotgun to deal with enemies who got close and his grenade launcher to destroy the enemy's cover as well as forcing them to fall down from higher up balcony's, all while shrugging off the heavy gunfire like it is nothing.

the door between him and the second door was locked, but he had a big axe that went right through fortunatly. every single step he got close the tremendous amount of gunfire only increased in sound and the loud noise on his gasmask got more distinct as he finnally rammed his weight through the door of the second floor. rakshaha saw the hallway was filled to the brim with mobsters and even he was forced to take cover to avoid the annoying stingy feeling of being shot. he whipped out a fully automatic shotgun, modified with a feeder chain and he turned himself out of the cover and began mowing down the mobsters, pretty soon the hallway was as good as empty and rakshaha opened the door where his boss was at.

“Heavenly maker, Raksha, you are an artist when it comes to complete and total slaughter,” Ryckert said as he came out from behind cover, dusting himself off and picking at the bits of wood that had gotten all over his clothing.

“I wanted to keep things simple and quiet, make a sport of it, to Raksha’s chagrin, but these fools wanted to play with their toys, so I had to let Raksha play as well, otherwise it would have been unfair,” Ryckert explained to Sylvia, who was making her way towards the two men.

“Well, Raksha, seeing as your little display probably alerted everyone in a five-mile radius, we should hurry up and find this girl and then get the hell out of here, I don’t want to get into a shoot-out with the law, not after what happened last time with you and that police cruiser,” Ryckert was reloading his hand cannons as he spoke, making sure he would be ready for the gun fight that was about to come when the other members of the compound made their way over to them.

“All right, if we are all ready, let’s go greet these boys, eh?”

sylvia seemed to snarl in disgust as she recognized rakshaha's race, renegade elves were the ones responsible for her and the rest of her races suffering, realizing what kind of people she had joined sylvia would rebel against them, and rakshaha would be the one she killed before ryckert. but for now she kept hidden and ran ahead, she had no intention of letting anyone end up in the hands of these misfits.

rakshaha too reloaded all his guns, the grenade launcher first because obviously the effect this had was the reason he used explosives in general. "boss....who exactly are we looking for...? what do they look like and what is their name?" he asks as he wanders to the door and opnes it, looking if anyone is around. "if they're sun elves, i would prefer to keep them...i have some bussines with those worms."

“Got a thing for sun elves, eh? I learn something new about you, Raksha, my boy,” Ryckert noticed Sylvia run on ahead but didn’t stop her, if there was anybody waiting to surprise them it would be best if the shot her instead of him.

“Well, it’s supposed to be some woman we need to find, her father wanted me to find her, apparently the boys you so mercilessly gunned down had taken her with plans on getting a ransom, we are here to make sure that doesn’t happen,” Ryckert reached into his breast pocket and pulled out a cigarette.
Ryckert put the cigarette in his mouth and lit it, taking one long puff, held it in for a few seconds, and then let the smoke out through his nostrils.

“God, I needed that…anyway, Raksha, that girl Sylvia, she was dumb enough to get caught be these hooligans, I ran into her a while back so I let her out, now she’s helping us,” Ryckert motioned towards the window, outside,” She’s got some mutt out there, giant fucking thing, waiting for her, once we are done let’s just part ways, you know I don’t like hurting animals, now let’s go out there and find that fucking girl.”

"grrmmm...boss....you need to find a pretentious former princess here, that ran away from her father and i know of a sylvia, rootheart is her full name. a blonde young female that rebelled agains her father's empire, her father was hired by zindro who was one of my empire's leader....my empire fell by her hands."  he says as he glares into the hallway.

meanwhile sylvia was freeing people owing money to the maffia and escorting them out, while rakshaha looked for her. the prisoners escaped but sylvia wanted to kill each renegade she came across, so she found rakshaha and fired an arrow at him.

though it was foolish of her to enter close range with him, soon enough rakshaha did treat her like an animal and threw her in a bag and tied it in a knot. "this woman is responsible for the end of my empire, we should hold on to her for now, there are plenty of renegades willing to pay alot to see her in pain."

“Hmmm?....well, alright, if we can get a good deal of credits for her without any of this getting back to us. I don’t want some empire coming down on us, we have enough enemies as it is, Raksha, now let’s get the hell out of here.” Ryckert put his weapons into their holster and made his way down to the first floor and then out of the compound.
 
Ryckert got on his hover bike and put his helmet on.
 
“Raksha, take her with you and I’ll meet you at my ship in the space port, we’ll keep her there and then we’ll head out, I don’t want to be in this damn planet anymore, time to head back home,” Raksha grunted in agreement and headed towards his vehicle.
 

Ryckert ignited his hover bike and drove off towards the space port, it was a seedy fucking place, but it was perfect for Ryckert’s needs. No one would be asking question about who he was or what was in his ship.

"i shall make the arangements with my people...it will be good to see her pay for what she's done." he says as he swings the bag over his shoulder and walks away. "OW! you'll never get away with this, renegade! The immortals saved the sun elves once already, they'll do it again!" sylvia kept on struggling and yelling from inside tha bag, eventually leading rakshaha to smash the bag into a wall to get her to shut up.

Not much later rakshaha too arrived, but on the docks there were some individuals doing rather unsettling things for ryckert, a large man, who looked like a knight was leading the big beast sylvia had previously brought along into a small ship that was presumably his, the ship was marked with a big faction sign with a smiling demon and "the immortals" written under it, not only that but he was looking at rakshaha with a slick grin visible through the mechanical eyes of his helmet.
