Due to living in a harsh tundra environment, Nord's have developed quite a natural resistance to the cold and ice magic. They are also extremely competent warriors.

Nords are a proud warrior race and see refusal to fight and diplomacy to resolve conflict as weak. Because of this, they are quick to anger and start a fight. They are also unfamiliar with galactic technology and have no way to effectively defend against it.

In Nordic society, the strong rule and the weak perish. Nords live to fight and could be compared in culture to the  Vikings or Celts of Earth.

Originally hailing from the continent of Atmora, located to the north of Tamriel, the Nords eventually migrated and settled in Skyrim, living peacefully with the Falmer (Snow Elves) who already lived there. However, after a massacre that left only three Nord survivors by the Falmer, the Nords travelled back to Atmora to gather an army of five hundred soldiers before returning to Skyrim and completely slaughtered the Falmer, leaving the race extinct. For a time, Nords were also enslaved by the race of Dragons, though they eventually rose up, wiping them from Nirn too. Now, they live in harmony with the other peaceful races of Tamriel.
