| Name: Batarian Homeplanet: Kar'shan Sentience: Sentient
Strengths Because of their large build, Batarians are physically stronger and more natural in close quarters and hand-to-hand combat than many other races. For reference, they are seemingly the half way point between the strength of a Human and the strength of a Krogan.
Batarians have a faster healing rate than Humans, being able to take cover and heal from minor wounds within up to 10 minutes depending on the severity. However, something that would prove lethal to most other races generally would also be as lethal to a Batarian. Weaknesses Batarians have slightly larger heads than many other races such as Humans or Turians, making it much easier to get a lethal headshot on them.
Batarians are vulnerable to fire which not only burns them over time, but it also stops them recovering from wounds as fast as they normally would. Appearance Culture Batarians are a disreputable species that chose to isolate itself from the rest of the galaxy. Due to their very large and intimidating physique, it's common for many Batarians to use force to get what they want. Batarian pirate gangs and slaving rings are common leading to the stereotype of the Batarian thug. History After achieving space travel over short distances, a Batarian mission to their nearest moon, Mannovai, led to the discovery of ancient ruins, left on the moon's surface by an unknown and extinct ancient race. Here, they learned the key to faster than light travel, allowing them to join the galactic community. Due to their aggressive and thuggish tendencies, however, they quickly found themselves with a very bad reputation. |

| Bigger and stronger, but easier to hit. Sounds fair to me.
Approved, awaiting second. |
