Rannoch is a planet with a troubled history. Originally the home of the Quarians, it was then taken over by the Geth during a war between the two species. The Geth eventually defeated and exiled their creators taking the planet and claiming it as their home. 

Rannoch is full of many different areas, from lush green forests to arid desert landscapes and beautiful garden-like plains. Among all of these areas though lie many shipyards and foundries maintained by the Geth, the most important of all being the Geth Control Centre. A medium sized facility constructed out of a titanium alloy that houses thousands of network nodes that in turn allow the Geth Consensus to function, a technological hive mind that links all Geth together electronically as a world within a world.
