The Quarians are scavengers who spend all their time surrounded by technology. Because of this, they are a race of tech experts and can often use the most unlikely materials to make repairs to something or create something new.

Due to spending their entire lives in sterile environments and pressurised suits, the Quarians no longer have any sort of natural immune system. This makes them particularly susceptible to foreign germs, meaning even slight exposure to an environment outside of their suit can be fatal. Because of this, a suit rupture in a firefight can often be a fate worse than death.

Quarian culture is essentially nomadic. With no home planet, the Quarians live in a large fleet, constantly roaming the galaxy in search of resources to sustain their population. For the creation of the Geth race, Quarians are often hated by other races and viewed with distrust as thieves and criminals.

History
Little is known about the Quarian race or their history. After accidentally creating a race of advanced AI creatures known as the Geth, they were exiled from their home planet of Rannoch by their creations after a war broke out between the two groups. Now they roam the galaxy in a large fleet, desperately searching for ways to maintain their population.
