Strengths
The Asari are one of the few races across the galaxy where the entire race is naturally born with Biotics, rather than being exposed to Element Zero. Because of this, they make formidable opponents in combat as they can use biotics in combat when the vast majority of their opponents can't.
The Asari also pride themselves on their vast knowledge of the galaxy and as such, make excellent information brokers.
Weaknesses
Asari, while not as weak as the Salarians, Asari are clearly quite physically weak compared to other Humanoid races such as Humans, Turians and Krogan.

Asari culture is split up into three stages of life, the Maiden (Birth - 350 years old), Matron (350 - 750 years old) and Matriarch (750 - 1250 years old). The Asari do not have any sort of gender and are sexually compatible with every other race in the galaxy. Because of this, it is encouraged to seek partners outside of one's own race as the race becomes slightly more diverse as the children descend genetically from multiple species. There are also "Pureblood" Asari, who think Asari should only mate within their own species, though most of Asari society looks down on this as it risks creating sexually deformed Asari known more commonly as "Ardat-Yakshi", creatures who burn out the brains of those they mate with.
