The ability to shapeshift from human to wolf, although she can't control anything about her wolf form without wearing a red cape given to her by her father when she first began to change.
 
History
The night Lianna Feather turned ten years old, an entire coop of chickens from her father's farm went missing. Her mother had died several years earlier, and the farm was her family's only source of income. The loss was devastating. The next night, several sheep were gone, trails of blood left in the field. When her father discovered this, he set several traps to catch whatever it was that was causing so much destruction. The next morning, Lianna awoke inside a cage, her father standing over it in shock. His little girl couldn't have done such damage, surely?
That evening, she agreed to being put in that cage again, as her father suspected what was wrong.
He watched over her for several hours, and in the blink of an eye, he saw her change from his lovely little daughter into a snarling black wolf. She bared her sharp teeth at him, eyes glowing an unnatural red. She couldn't get out of the cage, though. At first light, she changed back, sleeping soundly, blissfully unaware of what had happened to her in the night.
After opening the cage door, her father ran several miles to a nearby village, before begging a famous enchantress to stop his daughter changing again. She told him it was impossible, especially as he had nothing to offer. He pleaded with her for hours, before finally offering himself. He would act as a servant to her, do whatever she wanted without question, if only she would help his daughter.
Finally, she conceded, and enchanted a red cloak he carried with him at all times. It was his wife's before she died. The enchantress told him that as long as Lianna wore the cloak, she wouldn't change forms again.
For several years, she wore the cloak, day in, day out. She used it as a blanket at night, and never had it away from her throughout the day. One evening, however, she was walking home from the village after buying food for her and her father, when she realised that her cloak was no where on her. She retraced her steps, seeing if it had fallen from around her shoulders or got caught on a tree, but it was no where in sight. Her cloak, the one thing that kept people safe, was gone.
She ran home to her father's farm, dumped the food on the porch step and sprinting away as fast as she could. She was not fast enough. On the outskirts of the farm, Lianna changed into her wolf form. The black wolf turned around, and ran back towards the house she'd just come from.
The next morning, she awakes next to the remains of her father. Beside him is the red cloak, folded neatly with a note on top. It reads 'Now he knows what happens to people who break promises.'
Terrified and distraught, Lianna pulls her cloak around her, running to her father's room and stealing his dagger, which he always kept under his mattress. Tears streaming down her face, she flees the farm, leaving behind the person she loved most in the world. He is dead because of her, and now she has to fend for herself.
She will avoid people. She knows now that she is too dangerous for company.
