Strengths

Like all spartans. Luther is genetically altered to be faster, stronger, and more skilled than the average human being.
Years of combat experience has given Luther incredible skill with firearms, close combat, and piloting vehicles. He can very quickly figure out how an enemy’s weapon works and use it as his own.
Luther is an incredibly talented leader on the battlefield thanks to not only natural talent as a commander, but years of experience leading strike forces during the Human/Covenant war.

Weaknesses

Few surviving men fought with their boots on the ground in the Human/Covenant war, and even fewer of his fellow spartan-IIIs are alive today. Giving him few people to relate to.
Luther’s preference to be in the thick of battle in the most dangerous leaves much of his talent as a commander untapped.
Luther has seen many of his brothers in arms die right in front of him and he blames himself for every single one of their deaths, causing him to have frequent bouts with PTSD outside of the battlefield.

Luther’s many years on the battlefield has made him incredibly deadly both in hand to hand combat and with firearms of all kinds. Paired with his natural talent for leadership, he is a frightening commander to fight against.

History
Born in 2520 He was conscripted into the Spartan III program at age 11 after he was orphaned when his planet was attacked and glassed by Covenant. He was one of the few fortunate enough to evacuate on the planet's sole Phoenix colony ship. He finished his training after 5 years with Alpha Company - the first group of Spartan IIIs. After the company's first deployment, his talents with commanding on the battlefield became apparent. And he was pulled from the company and given more advanced spartan II MJOLNIR armor so his abilities could be put to better use. He started of as strike commander of ODST battalions, commanding with high survival rates. He soon requested command of Spartan III battalions in the most dangerous battle zones. Leading his men with a remarkably high survival rates of 20-30 out of 300 spartans on an individual mission. He has survived dozens of the most dangerous battlefields the Humans had ever seen and personally watched hundreds of his Spartan brothers die around him.

After the war, Luther pulled off of active duty and given command of spartan IV fireteam quad Diablo. The spartans under his command are Lewis Smith, Alice Green, and Charles Meriwether. Luther sees them as cocky and reckless youngsters with no idea what the Spartan name truly means. Despite this, he still feels obligated to his men and will always prioritize their well being over his.
