| Name: The Abyssal Plague Owner: Kazura Kanahashi (Can be stolen/obtained) Creator: Maleficus [An Anti-God] Development Thread: N/A Type: Trident Scythe Use: Combat Rarity: Unique. Strengths - Light, swift, and sturdy, the scythe blade is short, and easy to work with but still fatal; the prongs upon the trident portion sharp, and finned to inflict grievous wounds. - Wounds inflicted by this weapon suffer from miasmic rot and decay. The effect lasts several minutes, until the miasma wears off. If wounds are large and grievous enough, though, the miasmic effect may kill the individual, and rot portions of the body to the bone, before the effect wears away. - Capable of acting as a medium for energy dispersal. - Summoned via will. Weaknesses - While sturdy, it is not without capacity for being broken by far more sturdy weapons or armor it is incapable of piercing. - The miasmic effect is only effective upon flesh; it does not ebb away stone or steel, therefore armors struck by the weapon only suffer tangible, physical, damage. - The weapon siphons a vast wealth of energy from the user, making it only a viable means of combat for an amount of time. - Whilst having the benefit of being summoned/conjured by will, it pertains to the current holder of the weapon. Meaning if it exchanges hands, and is willed away, only the individual that has willed it away can re-conjure it. Therefore, if stolen, and thus willed away, the previous user cannot retrieve the weapon unless the current user conjures it forth again. Description A dual weapon combination. Once a scythe, and trident, respectively, Kazura forged the both into one combined weapon, producing a very lethal creation. Appearing as a darker than black metallic substance, with curves and twists and knots, similar to a wooden staff, the weapon is a majestic sight to behold. - History:
Both the Plague Bringer, and The Abyss, were gifts from a demented Anti-God known as Maleficus. Gifts to kindle a sort of alliance, in the wake of the cataclysmic battle the two had with one another.
Maleficus seemingly conjured the weapons from naught, being a monstrous being capable of warping reality, and conjuring much more than simply weapons. Having conjured them, he offered them to Kazura as a means of kindling an alliance, forging a pseudo-friendship of sorts, as well as commending him on the heinous upset of a victory Kazura had managed to obtain over Maleficus.
The battle, hard fought, saw Kazura pit his mettle against Maleficus in regards to whom would claim superiority and, through that superiority, claim the right to rule the masses. Fated to lose, Kazura managed to pull an upset victory when, in the interest of sadism and egocentrism, Maleficus bound his power to be identical to that of Kazura’s for the duration of the battle. Capped at Kazura’s pinnacle strength, it came down to skill and raw talent as opposed to power.
Maleficus effectively managed his own defeat.
In time, Kazura found disdain in the weapons as separate iterations, incapable of managing to wield all three in critical situations, and relying far too much on Onikussaiga to choose any of them over the Chu’usshin weapon.
And so he found a means to forge both into one, coining it the Abyssal Plague. Now he could use Onikussaiga, and the amalgamated weapon, in combat as he saw fit. The merger of the weapons mutated ability properties, giving the final product the miasmic ability.
