Kitty had decided not to take the ship back home, preferring to teleport despite the strain it would probably put on her because of the distance. But instead of going the hole way at once she decided to make stops in between to decrease fatigue, one of these stops happened to be Reach, a place she had already planned on visiting. Upon seeing the front door in shambles Kitty was instantly alert, sniffing the air then letting out a snarl. Demons. She could smell them and due to her own magic she could sense them too. 

"Oh no, this is not going to be happening. I only like prison breaks when I'm the one breaking out." She growled and then she withdrew her sword, twirling it around in her hand before going into the building. "Sorry you miserable lot, but you've gone far enough."

At the sight of Kitty the demons split their ranks. The back half of their forces all converged to take on the vampire, whilst the rest continued to break through the doors of the facility. Deep within the prison Lana was already working on her escape. With the nearby demonic presence and the lack of serum in her blood she was able to apperate herself into a shadow form, allowing her to pass through the bars of her cell for a few seconds.

Once on the other side she took a moment to recover as the act had taken much of her energy. Now though she was out of her cell and her allies were fast approaching. Mallock on the other hand simply sat in his cell, waiting patiently for the door to open.

Kitty simply sighed,  cracking her neck as she tightened her grip on jer sword.  "Alright time to get messy." Kitty speared her sword through the first demon,  yanking it out quickly and slamming the handle bottom into the nose of another demon.  The vampire hissed when she felt a demons claws rake down her back,  a feverish animalistic glint making it's way into her eyes.  She spun around,  ignoring the pain in her back,  bringing her sword straight through the demons neck like it was butter.  Another demon shoved her forward, knocking her off balance and onto the floor.  The demon quickly pinned her and began raking it's claws across her chest and stomach, the marks were healing quickly,  but the demon just kept making more.  Fire exploded from Kitty's skin,  engulfing the demon on top of her in seconds and reducing him to ash.  

She got up covered in slashes and her own blood, but her eyes glowed bright blue with rage and blood lust.  Kitty ran at the next demon,  sliding under him when he lurched forward to try and grab her around the waist. She pulled the gun out from the holster under her jacket as she slid,  placing a shot in the back of the demons skull.  Another demon yanked her up by the hair and she turned her head,  biting his arm as hard as she could with her teeth.  He let her go and she put a bullet between his eyes.  Kitty stared down the last three demons that weren't at the door,  breathing hard with blood dripping from her fangs and malice in her eyes.

"Hello boys," Lana smirked as she punched a guard straight across the face. Once disorientated she used the chance to take his gun and place three shots into his chest. By this time his friend had only just managed to react, firing at her in a full burst. With immense speed she kicked herself from the wall, dodging the bullets and firing her own back straight into the man's head. With the area clear she then continued around to Mallock's cell.

At the entrance the demons had broken through another door, reaching Mallock's cell and starting to work on it's door before Lana even arrived. Behind them only a few demons remained standing against Kitty. They held no fear even after seeing the others perish. With a great rage they charged forward to buy their allies as much time as possible.

Kitty met the demons with two guns in her hands instead of her sword.  She nailed two of them right between the eyes,  slamming tthe butt of one gun into the other demons head before shooting him with the other.  Kitty stalked closer to the demons at the door,  a majority of her wounds already healed as she aimed shots at them.  But she was out of bullets.  Kitty cursed,  "This is why I don't fucking like guns." The vampire withdrew her sword again,  lunging forward and spearing one demon through the neck while she attempted to shove other demons away from the door via fire balls.  She hadn't even noticed Lana yet.

All along her walk Lana chanted in Zalgo's ancient language, feeling her power grow the closer she got to her demonic allies. Eventually she reached the corridor they were in and immediately noticed Kitty at the other end. Scowling at the vampire she flicked out her hand towards the door, shadowy tendrils appearing to rip it from it's hinges. Once open Mallock could freely walk out among the demons, also turning to see Kitty.

"How many times do I have to kill you?" Lana walked forwards, joining the group of demons who were now fixated on Kitty. Mallock began to back off since he had no powers, but Lana's hand grasped his arm. "Make yourself useful." She whispered, placing her other palm over his chest. Dark energy seeped throughout his body causing him to convulse and cry out in pain. Once it was over he rose again with black veins.

Mallock rushed forward without fear, attack in unison with the other demons with a hail of shadowy arrows he conjured from thin air.

The door blasting open knocked Kitty off balance, slamming her into the wall. She got up, feeling a tad dizzy and she could feel blood oozing down the back of her neck.  Kitty snapped her broken jaw back into place,  her fingertips turning into lava as she looked at Lana with haughty disgust. "Did you really think he'd leave me dead long?" 

Kitty turned completely into lava as the hail of arrows rained down, only morphing back to flesh when their stopped.  But the second she was flesh and blood again a demon sucker punched her, sending her flying into the wall once more.  

Yet again she got up but sure was unsteady on her feet.  She was unsure that she could take them all on at once, but she was the only one here who had a chance. She would give it all she had.

After Mallock's rain of arrows he lunged forward with pitch black claws that seemed to be drench in some kind of oozing liquid. His mouth and eyes too were leaking with it, obviously a side effect of Lana's doing. As he came in to scratch the upper half of Kitty, Lana herself shot out two tendrils of darkness aiming for her legs. The plan was for Lana to tripped Kitty up whilst Mallock used the opportunity to openly rake her chest.

Meanwhile the demons too would come for their share, grasping at her arms and legs wherever they could reach around Mallock.

Kitty didn't seem to be quick enough to evade all these attacks,  soon unable to move as Mallock raked dark claws across her chest and the demons pulled at her arms and legs.  She didn't seem to be struggling as she spat out blood at Mallock,  it seemed like she was waiting for something. 

When she decided that Mallock and a majority of the demons were close enough to her,  the room began to get hotter.  Kitty's skin glowed briefly and she gave Mallock and Lana a bloody smirk.  Fire exploded out violently from her skin,  reducing some of the demons grasping her to ash. Mallock's claws had been cutting her up faster than she could heal.

The fiery explosion reduced the demons to ash as intended and sent Mallock flying backwards with most of his front body missing. His remains however landed in the grasp of Lana who waved her hand over his form. From her palm came a wave of shadow that twisted into the shape of a horrifying face, latching itself onto Mallock to repair his skin. By the time he was whole again his face was made of black ooze, it's expression constantly fixed in anger.

With a push Lana sent Mallock back at Kitty, this time hurling balls of shadowy energy from left and right at her. Meanwhile Lana herself circled around the back, chanting in the ancient language before finally whispering.

"Zalgo."


Her form burst out with shadows, skin being replaced by black tendril. These writhing limbs shot out to grab and strike at Kitty, attempting to kill her in the same way they had killed her before.

Kitty was barely able to dodge each fireball, but she didn't dodge Mallock. He smacked into her but she dug her heels into the ground,  determined not to go back any farther.  Lana's tentacles grasped her left arm and she swung her sword at it, cutting it off. She felt another pierce her stomach and blood came spurting out of her mouth.  "Come on darling , you know I'm here.  All you have to do is ask."


A slightly condescending and haughty voice filled Kitty's head,  filling her with anger. "I don't need." She slashed at another few tentacles advancing on her, turning around lightning fast in an attempt to punch Mallock away from her. "Your help!" She spun back around then when another tentacle pierced her shoulder. They were reappearing just as fast as she could cut them down.

Just as a tentacle was about to pierce Kitty's heart like it did not so long ago, a clawed hand reached out and grasped it. A tall slender woman with dark hair and red eyes had appeared seemingly out of no where. Except she wasn't human. Pitch black horns curled up from her tanned forehead, equally pitch black wings stretched out behind her. Dark violet fire flicked from her skin and fingertips, encasing the tentacle and burning it to nothing. "Don't need my help eh, darling?" The woman drawled with a devious smirk,  while a bloodied Kitty just glared at her harshly. "Piss off Dakora.  I'm fine." "Do fine people always bleed all over the place?  Silly me,  I haven't really had the time to keep up with things." She mocked the glaring vampire, looking straight into her eyes but not missing a beat as another tentacle shot out,  grasping it with her other hand and burning it. 

Dakora turned to Lana, dark violet fire curling around her demonic form. Unlike the other demons she seemed to be calm and not chomping at the bit to be the sorceresses slave. "How did you even find me?" "Daegmer magic leaves a sort of... Taste in the air." "I hate you. Go away." "I know you do,  but I don't quite feel like doing that." Dakora then turned her full attention on Lana,  raising up two clawed palms with violet fireballs swirling in them.  "How about I take this one while you take that ooze monstrosity?" "I'm going to kill you after this. "

"All personnel, this is a code red, I repeat code *crackled radio-static*". The siren was activated, the lights went out. An oozing sickly aura spilled into the cracks of the cell and within seconds the emergency lighting switch on casting red across the walls. "Let me out, their coming, the horde are coming." words ignored by the running guards, "Let me out, otherwise..." screamed Kath to no avail.

The clash of blood and metal, the screams of mortal men, the screams of the demonic horde. Kath wasn't sure which terrified him more, a moment of mortality swept through him. "This is it, fuck-sake" he spat, sounds of oblivion echoing from outside. All he could do was listen and pray they ignored the holding cells. "Just my luck getting transferred to this shit-hole, this place is for nut-jobs".

From outside the chamber a word was softly spoken, "ZALGO". To say Kath heard the word would be false, but some words ring in the air, gently but nauseously powerful it rung. The walls of the cell shook. Shadows seeped under the cell door and screams of pain echoed from a feminine voice, "I don't need" ... Sounds of a sword cut through the air ... "Your help". Kath swallowed, the type of swallow that is dry and rasp. "The power just outside the door, its terrifying" he thought, stepping abruptly away from the door and into the red lit corner of his cell.

"How about I take this one while you take that ooze monstrosity?" Another feminine voice, demonic in tone. "I'm going to kill you after this."

"Ugh," Lana sighed, already tired of the back-and-forth words of the two women. Quickly her hands flicked into motion, each action sending a small yet sharp wisp of dark energy straight at Dakora to try and keep her at bay. Meanwhile Mallock re-engaged once more, his oozing claws aiming for the lower chest before a great jump would aim to place him behind Kitty where he could rake her back.

Once Lana had finished shooting wisps of darkness she resorted to her environment. One by one the doors to all the cells began tearing from their hinges, flying straight at Dakora by Lana's command. After a few doors revealing empty cells, Kath's would finally be chosen. Now his cell was open and he could see the battle ensuing outside.

Kitty ducked as Mallock jumped behind her, allowing him to swipe at the empty air where she once was. She then swept her leg out in an attempt to knock Mallock off his feet, a look of annoyance and anger on her face. "You look like hell darling." "I am hell." Kitty spat back at Dakora, who simply smirked but didn't turn around. Kitty summoned her own fire to her palms, blasting several fireballs at Mallock. 

"Kittiana darling, mind shoving ooze man over here?" "Gladly, and don't call me Kittiana. Or darling." "You used to love it when I called you darling, among other things."

Dakora easily evaded Lana's small balls of dark energy, giving her a condescending smirk, as if Lana was nothing more than a mosquito on her arm for her to swat. "She was giving you a hard time darling?" Dakora ignored Kitty's demand to stop calling her darling, to which she let out a grunt as she fought Mallock. "You really have gotten soft Kittiana, you used to make armies quake in their boots at your name. Now you can't even handle a little girl who thinks shes a witch." 

Dakora didn't bother shooting fireballs at Lana, waiting as the doors sped towards her quickly. "I suggest you shove now darling." Just as the doors were about to close in on Dakora, she disappeared in an eruption of violet flames. Kitty attempted to push Mallock into the space where Dakora once stood, aiming to have the doors hit him instead. 

Dakora reappeared behind Lana, wrapping a clawed hand around her throat, pressing the sharp tips just enough into her flesh that a bead of blood went down it. Her other hand was pressed into her back, glowing violet and uncomfortably warm. "Choke på blodet du har spildt."

Clank. Clank. Clank. Within seconds the metal door of the cell warped into a concave bowl, hinges giving way the door disappeared near instantaneously into the corridor. A swift change of extreme air pressure assured dragging Kath ungratefully from the red haze of his cell. He was in danger, and he knew it.

His body slammed against the adjacent wall sliding limp down onto the dark basaltic floor. Concussed, he began feeling for the hot trickle running down his neck, he was bleeding. Sounds began to form, glancing up the blur he saw slowly split into two entangled figures. As his eyes adjusted he made out a black clawed hand coiling around the victims throat. "Demons?", the word ran through his mind and adrenaline began coursing like acid through his veins all knowing that this could be it. Fight or flight.

"Choke på blodet du har spildt." 

"You know nothing of Zalgo's power!" Lana threatened, the tentacles and darkness growing stronger each second. It took her only a second to realise the demon had evaded her thrown doors, at which point there were claws at her throat. At that same moment Mallock had been thrown aside and into the trajectory of one of the doors, the metal chunk smashing straight into him and sending him flying backwards to land beneath it. 

Angered by Mallock's uselessness and the appearance of this demon, Lana began desperately thinking of ways to gain the upper hand. She would have continued her thoughts to try and keep fighting if she had not sensed someone else coming. With no other choice but to leave, her tendrils retracted to reveal her usual form again.

"Until next time, Youngblood." Her tone was mocking and her voice trailed off with the disappearance of her entire self. In a flash of dark mist she was gone.

Near the entrance of the prison complex lay the thrown cell door atop Mallock, who was still growling in anger and covered in black ooze. Slowly he shoved the door off himself and rose from the ground, eyes set on the three people he could see and claws outstretched ready to charge. Just as he was about to leap forward for more violence a blinding flash exploded from his right side. It's brightness and sound was enough to disorientated those in range, whilst the physical force of its magic flung Mallock head first into the wall. 

By the time everyone had recovered there could be seen an unconscious Mallock to the side, and in his former place a tall man in grey robes. He was age and rugged, supporting himself on a long wooden staff. Whilst at first it appeared he was a stranger, since his appearance at first glance was nothing like anyone they'd seen before, when he spoke it was apparent to those who knew Eli that it was him. Somehow a very aged version of him.

"Hmph," His eyes glanced aside with a crooked mouth, clearly discontent at arriving to find only Mallock here and not Lana. "It seems I am late." Now he looked to Kitty who was the only one he recognised here. "Kittiana, glad to see you among the living again." He began walking forward with his staff helping each stride.

"There's alot to explain but there isn't much time. Do you have your Grimoire?"

Kitty looked at the old man, blinking with her jaw dropped. "Eli? Dude..." The redhead regained herself quickly, although regarded Eli with suspicion and slight hostility. Last time they met it wasn't on the best of terms. "You died." She said bluntly, and Dakora popped her head up. "Darling, I do believe that the man said there wasn't much time." Kitty snarled and threw a fireball behind her at Dakora, which she dodged with a sigh, muttering under her breath. "True, I probably deserved that." 

Kitty walked closer to Eli, although she kept one hand on the handle of her sword. "I am not in possession of my families grimoire, but I'm on my way home to talk to someone who might get me to someone else who might know how to find it. Why do you ask?"

Reaching over to the adjacent guards body, though carcass would be more accurate, Kath removed the pistol from its leather holster and using the wall for support he pushed himself up. "A Vampire, Demon and a old Arcanist", with a chuckle Kath carried on "three musketeers?". As he began to edge away to make his escape he stumbled on sprawled body parts of guards. That Demon Witch and her minions work. There was no surprise in his eyes, no gesture of disgust, his eyes had seen it before. Kath spoke softly "They didn't stand a chance against her, you all knew that".

"Well I have a knack for cheating death. Runs it the family it seems," Elijah smirked at his comment, but became more serious once Kitty spoke of the Grimoire. "Atleast you're making a start, but you must hurry. As you might already know ONI is looking for such objects, but even if they don't find it there are darker things in search of artifacts." He had leaned in when discussing the matter with Kitty, but now that a new figure had appeared from one of the cell's he straightened up and gave him a glance.

"I'm not sure who you are, but I'm certain it is not by chance you are here. As for these guards, I'm afraid the UNSC does not value the lives of their lowest soldiers." Eli placed a hand in his robe, retrieving from it some kind of card. "Enough credits to get you out of here and to wherever you need to be, stranger." He gave the man a solemn nod, making note of his appearance should this meeting be something of fate rather than luck. He felt maybe their paths would cross again someday.

"Meanwhile we must go and find this Grimoire, Kitty." His spare hand then reached out for Kitty's, now evident upon it a gold ring with an infinity symbol engraved on it. "A Traveller's Ring, something lost long ago in the many realms. How I came by it is another story for another day, but for now we must use it to get to where we need." 

"Where exactly were you headed?"

Kitty seemed to relax a bit, accepting Eli's hand with a slightly apprehensive look on her face. She cast a glare over towards Dakora, who was looking at them intently. Kitty may have trusted the demon at one point, but she had lost her trust centuries ago. "Dakora. I assume you already know where my sister and the others are situated." "I always keep tabs on the family of my favorite ex, darling." Kitty bristled, her hair turning to flames with her annoyance. "Just go. Now." "Feisty. I missed that." Dakora disappeared in an eruption of violet flames and Kitty relaxed again, looking to the aged Eli. 

"The only demon I actually like anymore is your brother, well, was your brother." Then she let out a sigh, her face growing serious again. "I was planning on heading home, to look for the Oracle. I was hoping he would give me a ritual so that I could talk to..." Kitty trailed off, glancing around almost nervously. "Listen the person I need to talk to probably isn't someone that will make your brother very happy, or someone he'd want either of us poking around with." 

Then Kitty realized, this was Eli, regardless of whether or not she told him to stay out of it he was just as stubborn as his brother. "Tell me, what do you know of the Celestial of Choas and Corruption? What do you know of Legion?"

Kath's dim eyes slowly scanned the encompassing bodies, he knew all too well what the Arcanist meant. He nodded hesitantly in return to the old Arcanist for the credits, "Thank you, it means more then you know old man". Glancing one last look at the blood soaked Vampire and swiftly back to the old man. 

"My Name is Kath, or more accurately Kathrick von Krijger" finishing the sentence with more of a mutter then actual words. Kath spun on his heels, holstering the pistol he carefully stepped over the sprawled bodies and left, one thing weighing on his mind, I must become stronger.
