| #1Subject: The Convoy Fri Aug 25, 2017 3:04 am | |
| It was late in December when the convoy was sent to the Scelforian Headquarters of Progress. They sent it along the most rural mountain roads along with a large military escort. They were transporting one of the most important discovery of the century. Deep in one of the Highlands deep mines they found it. They found an ore that was nearly indestructible but was still extremely light and flexible. It was called by the Scelforians as Trigoriam. They had found masses of it but before they were to continue mining they wanted to see if it had any capabilities and if it could withstand the plasma blasts. So they had sent the highest concentration of Trigoriam in a large military convoy to Scev the largest military base on Scelfor I.
The convoy was extremely large and well defended but nothing was perfect. How the convoy was situated was two large hover tanks in the front followed by two full troop escort boxes then another tank the 'vault' truck then another tank two more troop escorts and then two more tanks. It also had hover speeders circling on both sides of the pass as well as snipers in the near distance to cover the majority of the trip. Only three members of the oligarch knew of its existence and the General Caligar of 3 Stars.
General Caligar organized it all the date the troops chosen the drivers and the guy put in charge to lead it. That was where I came in. I was the Lieutenant of the Calamity Squadron. We were tasked with cleanup if any of the other planets attacked. We were also tasked with hostage cleanup and taking what was needed from our enemies. We were the special forces for the Air Force, Navy and Army and we would do anything to achieve our objective. There were 4 squads of us we were Tachyon Squadron with the highest kill count as well as the newest group. There was me, Lieutenant Fier otherwise known as Space, then there was Sergeant Garreth or Time, Corporal Vladic or Gravity, and the new Private Zan or Reality. We were the best of the best and thats why we got Mission BlackWield.
Private Zan was in the lead tank he was the scout tasked with telling us if anything was above. Then came me in the 'Vault' I was the last line of defense and I would kill anyone who came near. Then came Corporal Vladic who was in the back of the convoy. He was the rear guard and I knew that he would pulverize anything that came near. Sergeant Garreth was apart of the hover speeders and would rotate around the convoy picking up the slack wherever needed.
Sergeant Garreth wore a regular plasma rifle strapped to his back but with his notorious duel plasma revolvers that were said to hold the lives of the men he fired upon. He named them 'Yin and 'Yang'. He wore the casual armor not too much not too little but he preferred speed over protection. Corporal Vladic had his personalized plasma rapid fire large gun with more power cells on his back in a large platinum sealed backpack. He wore the heaviest armor and would mow people down with the pure fire power he harnessed. Private Zan was more close to my setup but he carried a regular rifle with his own scope and a standard RM-9 pistol with armor similar to Time. I myself wore a sword named 'Cascade'. A personalized sword was given to every leader of the squads and mine was the most powerful. It had could slice through mostly anything but required massive amounts of energy to use. This sword could be turned off and when that happened it would look more like a grenade than anything. The more conventional sword I used was 'Severence'. It was the first Trigoriam weapon that coursed with massive amounts of electricity. It did need a power source but could be charged by solar power but slower. I also normally carried my rifle that was a standard TL-14 rifle. I did not carry a short range pistol and relied on my swords more than I should.
It required a ton of training procedures but we were ready for the movement. The day was December 19th and it had snowed heavily the night before and was lightly snowing today. The weather was -5 degrees celsius and the ice had frozen over leaving the landscape beautiful but deadly at the same time. We departed at 3:45am sharp and would be departing on a 11 hour journey. The General wished us luck as they closed the gates. We heard one more radio call of 'Goodnight BlackWield and we wish you a safe journey'. I heard the lead truck reply. 'Goodnight Base we'll call in tonight'. And we were off. |

| There was nothing that could have known about the convoy. No one could have possible let this intel out but someone did. Whether it be for money or for political reasons.
We had made it a good 150 miles East and were beginning to turn South. We were deep in the Vivian mountains the snow easily 4 feet deep. The roads were always kept hot and so it never was a problem but it was hard to see anything in front of us. The first alert that something was off was when we heard the front truck fall to the ground. It hovers around 3 feet off the ground so it was a pretty loud noise. From what the radio call said was the hover jets froze over which makes sense. We had two of our scouts come back and start burning the ice off. But apparently it wasn't an accident. From the video's the helmets took the minute they started to burn off the ice the two drivers popped out pulling out Serbian 4-22 shotguns. They quickly hosed down the two scouts but now we knew they were there. The second hover tank quickly took down the men but that was the signal for the full scale assault to begin. I tried radioing Private Zan but his radio just crackled. I knew he was dead but I was hoping that he might still be in there. Out of the woods on the left came 3 hover tanks and around 15 mercenaries. Our hover tanks quickly disposed of theirs but not without losing the other front one hover tank. Now the tank was starting to move quickly we had to get it out of there. The back two hover tanks began to go into the woods when from the right and where the mountains stood came down two speeders laced with bombs and a full squadron of around 35 men. They fired down on the speeders and the speeders hit the vault weakening the armour and shields greatly. I was sent against the far wall on the inside but I could hear the remaining two members of my squadron engaging with the now one remaining hover tank and the rest of the speeders. |

| I got up and tried radioing out but just got static. I could hear the sounds of battle and finally my Corporal said. "Dont' let them in! Lieutenant its not--" the radio cut out as around 2 minutes later the sounds of battle stopped. I stopped and listened to the sounds of footsteps come around the truck. I heard them place C12 mines which they would activate once they got far enough away. From the beeps I heard they place around 22 which is almost enough to blow a hole through the Vault. Then I heard a tri-beep go off and my eyes widened as i realized this was a Tri-Carrier Explosive mine capable of-. They all went off at the same time and my thoughts were gone. I remember seeing some light filter through where the large explosive went off. It was large enough for a full grown male to get through. I quickly stood fastened my mask on and stood behind the container waiting for someone to go through. I picked up my rifle and then I heard the first footstep and I stepped out of cover and headshotted the man. I screamed. "Not one of you is going to get inside!" I heard laughing and then silence. I sat there sweating when I saw the plasma grenade roll in and sit there. I heard the 1st tick before it went off. I blasted out the already weak walls. I hit the snow rolling before sitting up. I pulled out my sword Severence and looked around at the 15 men surrounding me. Most of them held their guns lazily pointed at me. I looked at the man who stepped out to meet me. "Now you wanna do this-" I cut him off with a quick swipe of my sword. "I don't talk to terrorists." |

| One of the guys shot me in the back of the leg but I was already up cutting down some of the terrorists. They fought back and it was difficult especially since they're were so many of them. I didn't even really have to fight as I just let the crossfire take down their own men. I normally aimed for the knees to get them on the ground. I mercy killed all of them when the last of the fire died down. I left one trying to crawl away. I then went back let the shields for the vault charge and walked over to where the blood led me. He was trying to get back to the mountains. I walked up behind him and placed my foot on his neck. "How did you know there was going to be a convoy here." He yelped when I did this and just started shuddering. "I don't know!" I sighed and took out my blaster pistol and shot him in the other leg. "Lies now tell me." He screamed in agony and tried to flip over. "I swear I don't know!" I aimed it as his head. "Last chance." He closed his eyes and relaxed his neck almost accepting it. I pushed it against his forehead and just as i was about to pull the trigger. I heard an explosion and then a white hot searing pain in my left leg. Then I was on the ground seeing bright white light. |

| When his vision came back he was laying on the ground next to the now dead body of the guy he was about to kill. He looked around and saw the vault perfectly as how he left it. He then looked at the burning bodies and vehicles around him. He then saw the customized hover tank come out of the snow on the left side. He saw the cannon aimed at him and the two people perched on the side. IT rolled up to around 15 feet from him. He tried standing but as he did he fell forward screaming in pain. He looked down at the remainder of his leg which was nothing but pink flesh. He grimaced and saw the two black cloaked figures walking towards him. The one on the right ripped his leg into my chest sending me back on my back. I groaned and looked at him. The taller of the two the one who had kicked me was walking over to the vault when I pulled my pistol shooting him in the back of the head. He fell to the ground screaming as I missed his spinal cord and hit right up through his jaw and most likely hitting his eyes and his face as well. The smaller ones own sword emerged from his side and he quickly whipped it towards me cutting off my hand with little effort. AT this point I didn't feel it but I knew what he had done. He clicked his tongue as he leaned down near me. His accent was a Northern province but he did not know where. "Is the valiant protector trying to fight his way back?" He put his hand on my chest. "I am so sorry about what happened to you but it is what was necessary." He ripped off my mask showing my blood filled and sweaty head. "No reply?"
"I don't talk to terrorists.." I managed to say through clenched teeth. "Shame that those will be your last words." He slapped me almost in a brotherly way as he stood up and walked over to his comrade. He clicked his tongue. "Master you were always a disappointment." He pulled his sword back and forward stabbing him in the heart. He pulled out the sword and then cut off the fallen mans head. He looked forward at the shield and nodded to the tank which unloaded its full belt of weaponry on the already weak shields. After the shield fell the man walked in and took the specimen. I screamed as I tried crawling towards him. He smiled. "Have fun bleeding out." He stood back up on the tank. I looked at the gun to my left and dragged myself towards it. I used it as a stilt and tried pushing myself up. Red filled my vision as I was threateningly close to passing out. I struggled against the pain the red filling my eyesight. I stood up fully and raised my cut off arm towards him. I realized my dilemma and I almost fell again. I wobbled around 5 feet to the destroyed tank and I leaned on it the fire already burning my skin. I put the rifle up to my good shoulder and the back of the tank balancing it and aimed. I said 'Hail the Scelforians' I pulled the trigger and the plasma bolt shot forward landing right in between the mans shoulder blades. He fell without a word the specimen falling off the tank. The main gun of the tank swirled around and fell upon me. I closed my eyes and took a deep breath. The tank fired and all went black.
Cameron Fier.
When I heard my brother was missing along with the convoy I didn't believe it. Around 3 hours after the call came through of the attack we were in the air flying towards them. There were 5 Attack Helicopters along with speeders below us. When we landed we saw the carnage. We saw all the dead bodies the blood the destruction. Then we found my brother. He was in pieces. He was just a body and a head with one remaining arm. I found his chest manned camera and plugged it into the helicopter system as they loaded him on. Amazingly he was alive and breathing but just barely. We had already decided that if anyone was alive they would try Project Red Eye on them. Project Red Eye was an experiment to induct a bionic human who was severely damaged or mortally wounded. He was going to be shipped there right now. I heard the ding of the video fully downloaded and I watched what happened. The video lasted after he was shot by the tank and all I could see was the snow gently falling for around 2 hours. Then I saw something in the corner of the camera. A dark figure climbing out of one of the destroyed tanks. He looked at the camera before running down the mountain. I heard us land at the Red Eye research station but I watched the video again and again as that figured looked like something so similar...but so foreign. |

| I woke up still dizzy from the scenes I saw in my mind. Nothing was clear but the bright white light that was shining down on me. I looked around the room I was in as my vision began to become clear and less blurry. I realized I was laying down on a metal table. My arms and legs were free but there was a tube connected to my elbow. I sat up and looked down at my body. Everything looked normal. I looked at my hand and then looked down at my leg. They were both intact. I pulled the tube off my elbow and sat up. I was naked but somehow not cold. The room was completely metal with different machines buzzing and beeping. The lights were dimmed and I noticed a mirror in the corner. I walked over slowly and looked at the mirror. My body was perfect. I didn't have any cuts or scars and I didn't have any of the injuries I had at the Convoy. My mind snapped as I realized the convoy had been attacked.
I looked around for a door but instead found a hatch in the ceiling. I stood on top of the table I was just laying on when trying to reach for the handle which was sticking tantalizingly right out of my reach. After a while of trying I sighed. Then a voice echoed throughout the room. "Try jumping"
I looked around. "Who said that?" There was no reply and I repeated it again but still no reply. "I can't hold myself up for that long. I won't be able to climb up!" Again just silence. I sighed and looked up at it. I tensed my muscles and jumped. I hit my head on the ceiling and immediately fell down slamming into the table and then rolling off. I groaned almost instinctively until I realized I didn't feel the pain. I looked down at my legs where it hit the corner and I just saw a bruise which was already rapidly healing. My eyes widened and I got back up flexing my leg. I shook my head thinking I was still on whatever drugs they gave me. I got back on the table and this time jumped lightly catching on to the lever. The thing popped and the door swung open almost as if on a piston. It launched me forward and I hit a bunch of the electronics smashing into there. I knew immediately that thousands of volts were flying into my body but again I didn't feel the pain. I got out of the shrapnel and wires and looked down at myself. Now I had multiple cuts but I couldn't feel them. I walked back to the door and I jump up with ease. I roll when I get the next floor. All around me are robots with a multitude of saws, blades, and one or two crossbows. They were all aimed at me. Suddenly not from the ones in front of me but almost without hearing the sound I jumped twirled around and saw the last robot who almost shot me in the back. I landed took two steps forward and hit him with my fists. I thought it was going to hurt to hit the metal but instead, it felt good as the breastplate crumpled under my fists. I looked back at the other ones and I realized I would have to kill each and everyone. |

| Around 15 minutes later I held a robotic arm in my hand. I picked up one of the crossbows and looked at the ceiling until I found the camera. I aimed took the shot and watched as the camera sparked. I looked at the door and sighed. I walked over to the door and just started slamming into it with my fists. The middle of the door began to bend in and finally, I took one kick at it and it slammed out. I walked in saw a bunch of ledges and in the middle a swirling blade sharp enough to cut through metal. As it swung back towards me I reached forward and grabbed it. The blade easily cut through my skin and when it hit the metal indoors I screamed as the nerve sensors were still active. I grabbed it with both hands and ripped it off the middle machinery. I held it and swung it back around slamming into the middle machinery over and over again. Once I was done I swung it down slamming it at least 3 feet into the ground. I was done with this and I jumped from ledge to ledge trying to get there faster so I could kill the people that did this to me. |

| I made it up to the top and looked at the large door that now stood in my way. I scowled thinking about what I could possibly do to fix this. I saw a control panel and I saw that there were 3 holds to get over there. I jumped from the first one to the second one holding the monkey bar type holds. Then I felt a spike go right into my index finger I screamed but held on. I jumped to the next one but this time I spread my fingers out. I felt the spike graze my finger again but this time I was out of the way. I put my feet into the holds of the 2nd monkey bar holding on as I looked at the control panel. It was a code lock. I realized that there were 256 options of the code and suddenly I was in the coding. I felt the codes and I was typing them in fast. I went through around 118 of them in 2 minutes and then I found it. I heard the code beep and suddenly the lever of the large door lifted up. I was no hanging upside down looking at the room full of scientists. They all applauded me but I was filled with blind rage. I managed to flip over and push off into the room with my hands. I grabbed the nearest scientist when I heard a shout. "Stop!" It was commanding but somewhat familiar. |

| I turn around to see my dad come walking towards me fast. I drop the scientist and turn to face him. He slaps me across the face except for this time I don't flinch and when his fist connects I don't move. He yells. "What the hell were you thinking!" I stand up to my full height. "I was thinking what am I and why the fuck is my father protecting the scientists that did this to me?" He looked down. "Because you would have died otherwise." "I would rather be dead than some fuckin mutant." His face goes red with anger. "Yeah well, you aren't. So now you need to listen to my orders or-" I quickly grab him sucker punch him in the stomach. Blood spurts out of his mouth and I hit him in the jaw. I see the jaw dislocate. I walk towards him on the ground. "You were always a piece of shit. From the moment you decided to hit mom up until you decided to turn your own son into a fucking weapon." My leg comes up and I slam it down into his chest. I look at my brother who nods and picks up the fallen pistol that was in my father's holster. Cameron who had been behind the two scientists picked the pistol up and shot both of them in the back of the head. He pulled out the mag and threw it to the side. My father looked over and give me the nastiest look he could muster. "I knew I should have killed you" My eyes darkened and in a fury, I lift him up with effort and drop him into the hole I just climbed out of. I looked at Cameron and he was looking at the bodies. He looked back at me and he nodded. "Go I'll tell them you killed both of them...you won't be able to return." I nodded. "Come with me." He looked at me his eyes piercing. "Someone needs to take dads place." The voices could be heard shouting. "Go I'll cover you." He turned around. "Go."
I sprinted out of the back room quickly accessing the code and unlocking it. I managed to make it up to a docking port. I ran over a van barely missing the ceiling as I sprint towards the garage door. I form a fist and with one punch its down and I'm sprinting down the road towards the river. I didn't know if I was waterproof but it was worth a shot. It was the only chance I had. |

| I had made it across the river with no problems. Obviously, I was waterproof. I looked behind me at the far side of the road. There were 2 guys standing and obviously looking at me. The 3rd was on the ground and I realized at the last moment what he was doing. I heard the shot ring out right after the bullet went through my right arm. I ducked behind a 17 story building. I heard the sirens and then I saw the green flashing lights on the edge of my vision. I looked around and I heard yelling from the left side of me. I was trapped with nowhere to go. I looked up. I grit my teeth and jumped up grabbing on to the handheld with one arm. I jumped from ledge to ledge using my bad arm to stable me and my good arm to hold on and pull myself up. After around 15 minutes of almost slipping and dodging bullets and an occasional helicopter, I made it up top.
I rolled on my back facing straight up. When I finally sat up I saw bullet streaks traveling through the sky all around the building. I laughed at how close it was but silently I knew it wasn't over. Just as I thought that I heard the chopper. It was a siege helicopter and massive 42 gauge rapid fire machine guns were visible on the side. Along with 9 tubes of pure napalm rounds. I stood up and faced the chopper. It came to a hover basically on the roof. Two people got out. I didn't recognize the first but he was cloaked in black and had an assault rifle and an attack shotgun. The one I did know was the general who orchestrated the entire Convoy. 'Why'd you do it. Why did you send us on a mission that you knew would have failed? Why did you set us up for that?" I said this with pure rage in my voice as I began to walk towards him. He raised a hand stopping me. "I wouldn't come closer son." I stopped only because I saw the guy in the black pull up his assault rifle. "Just tell me why you would kill so many men?" "It's simple I needed new candidates for my Red Eye project and you were the most logical options." "You killed my entire squad and wasted so many lives for your little 'experiment'. "Losses must be faced in war." The guy in the black slowly lowered his gun at me stopping. I laughed and shook my head. "Funny you sound a lot like someone I used to know." His eyes hardened. "He was your father and he was just as smart as me." He began to walk towards me. "He was right you are a useless son who deserves nothing mor-" Just before he was about to finish I pulled up my revolver and shot him square in the throat. I saw the life drain out of him as the guy in the black waved to the chopper. I saw the gunner activate the weapons and as I started running I felt the vibrations as the napalm rounds began to go off. I jumped off the 17th story of the building hoping to make it into the river below. The fire and gas scorched my back but icy liquid rolled over the burns soothing them. I remember looking up to see the helicopter go down in flames. Then it all went black as I was carried to wherever the flow would take me.
I watched my brother get shot at and then I watched as he climbed up the building. But I did not help. I don't know why but the awe o f him being able to do these things they were just so amazing. I saw the chopper and I knew exactly who was going to be in it. I nodded towards the marine sniper standing behind me. The minute I found out my father was corrupted I knew the general would be as well. I took control of the army and the majority of people didn't know about the corruption and quickly swore their loyalty to me. The only ones who didn't' were the General's black guard and his upper officers. The officers were quickly dismissed and thrown in jail and the black guard would just have to be killed. When I nodded towards the sniper he laid down and raised his weapon. The weapon he held was a powerful explosive round sniper capable of taking down steel girders. He took aim and when I saw the gunshot go off and the general fall. I said fire and after the helicopter fired somewhere around 4 rounds it exploded as the sniper hit his mark. We watched as it spiraled down following my brother off the building. I knew he would be fine but he would also be in exile. I nodded towards the sniper to go to the infirmary as the sniper he used normally dislocated or broke his arm due to the recoil. I called in for the medics and stood there as the friendly pink lights showed up to help the people. Along with this development we had just gotten a deep space transmission that the Valkyrie had found life and was now heading towards a warzone. We had a lot on our plate and to be honest I didn't believe for a second that the Valkryie had found something, probably just a glitch in the programming. I finally snapped out of my gloom as another explosion happened deep in the water. Once it settled I saw the helicopter slide under the smooth glassy water and I realized something. I had to face this all alone. |
