Okay, Hi everyone, I'm new here, and I hope I got this right! Anyway, this is my first character!

NAME: Iridian


SPECIES: Human (I think... for the most part...Although he has been genetically and cybernetically altered)


AGE: 10


FACTION: N/A

ALIGNMENT: Neutral


OCCUPATION: Commander of a privately operated spacecraft.


 

STRENGTHS:
Planning very far in advance…

Sword fighting

Anything to do with spacecraft repair, construction and command

 

WEAKNESSES:
Absolutely TERRIBLE at Hand to Hand Combat

Is afraid of Snow…
Has a rather frail body overall

 

EQUIPMENT
A Massive, Ornate and Old Fashioned Sword that is kind of impractical.

A Blaster Weapon

A Hidden Recording Device

 

POWERS
A Limited Form of Telepathy

Ability to possess other bodies, even though he never uses this because he would lose his current body in the process…

 

HISTORY
Iridian left his home world just recently in a stolen spacecraft, the Finality, after a tragic past filled with loss which he does NOT like to talk about… anyway, now he is struggling to form a new identity among the unfamiliar stars, despite his youth and inexperience…

Nice application for a character,the fear of snow will be quite a interesting problem should you ever end up on a arctic world.

I do feel that the age is a bit *too* young to have skills in both blade combat and spacecraft repair/engineering but given the character has been altered and trying to escape a tragic past perhaps at a very young age this is self-explainatory.

Please note that your telepathy cannot be used to possess other writer's characters without their permission but seeing as your character is reluctant to do so this won't be much of a problem.

I wasn't sure how well this character was going to work, but I'll at least try this out- Sorry about the age, at one point I considered being a centuries old ancient entity, then it occurred to me that as I am a newcomer it would be a bit bizarre to play someone who has lived in this universe for so long, so I just decided to start with a really young character and have them age as this goes on, if I stay here a long time. I do have a backstory for this character, but I think it would be easier to slowly reveal it over time rather than put everything in the initial description. But there IS a reason for those advanced skills, even if it may be a bit convoluted!

Well my main characters are both 90.000+ years old. So your characters cna be as old as they want as long as they can still 'die'.

Although I feel that a 10-year old shouldn't be a commander of a ship >.> Realistically noone would take a kid that age serious or accept them as their superior. But combat-wise it does sound interesting!

Well, the crew could be even younger! Although honestly, I was thinking that this ship would initially be crewless and operated alone, with perhaps an onboard AI mind if they exist in this universe. Of course, if any crew did join, unaware of the "commander's" age, it might present some interesting conflicts! For my next character I'll surely create someone older, though! I doubt Iridian will last long with all the death potential out there, but you never know! Thanks for the feedback!

Can I give you some advice as someone who's written for 10+ years.

Either have your character be a teenager (ages 15-18) if you wish to keep them young. That way it's more  plausible for them to be a commander of a ship.

Or, if you wish to keep them at age 10, then -don't- have them be a commander. Because it's not realistic, even for a Sci-fi/fantasy setting. >.>

And don't have a crew that's younger than the captain...that's bad rp. x-x
But otherwise your character should fit fine in this universe.

Alright, I'll take you're suggestions into account. I was kind of joking about the crew being younger than their superior- A ship full of 8 year olds who bow down to the revered 10 year old commander is NOT what I'm going for here! 
Obviously he could never have been made a commander at such a young age, my backstory is that he basically stole the ship to escape his terrible life- however I'm sure I could easily make the character older without having to change much, if that would work better. I myself am pretty young,  so I was just basing it on what I know. (and I created this character when I was 10, believe it or not, for another kind of game...) 
But yeah, how about we just say he's 16 or so?

Lis, If the amins accept that guy Rescue Ranger's RP I think we better find another RP where he is not part because it will be impossible he will just say what we did never happened.

So am I allowed to update Iridian's character sheet as new information is revealed during the actual roleplaying, such as the name of his ship? I didn't include this at first, but now that the "Finality" has been approved, I feel like I should mention it. Or if he gains new skills or equipment as time goes on, should I add them here? Obviously I wouldn't suddenly add any new abilities or powers out of the blue with no explanation.
