In the vast expanse of space, a dark entity stirred - veering towards the nearest inhabited planet. There were many lifeforms here, Ordrud felt, many lifeforms to devour. The entity - if it could - drooled at the prospect of feeding after its long travel in space.
Peering through the blackness and piercing through the veils of the minds of the inhabitants of the planet, the entity found that this planet was called Vestura. Seeing that it was still quite far away from the planet, at least several galactic standard days, Ordrud decided to take command of a body - a temporary vessel for its enormous psychic powers to act as its harbinger into the world.
In Vestura, capital of the planet Vestura, not one of its inhabitants could've noticed a single dog suddenly going berserk for the briefest of moments before suddenly disappearing into the city's bleak streets. In the city's main hospital, an elf man who had been diagnosed with terminal paralysis, and had become a vegetable, suddenly arose from his bed and jumped off the window and into the rooftops of the slum area where he disappeared in the city's haze.
A dog, and an elf were now Ordrud's vessels.
