| Name: Orc Homeplanet: Zexion Sentience: Sentient Strengths Orcs are incredibly strong
Orcs have thicker skin and are more physically resilient than many other races. Weaknesses Their large size makes them slow and less agile than many other races.
Many orcs are not as smart as members of other races. Appearance Culture Orcs are not very technically advanced, though they are very arrogant about their culture, believing themselves to already be at the height of evolution due to their values of simplicity and strength. Because of this, the Orcs of Zexion have developed a deep distrust to outsiders and technology.
From birth, all Orcs live within a local clan. The strongest Orc in a clan will always be the leader until the point that they die and a new leader chosen, or another Orc challenges and defeats the current leader of the clan.
Orcish clans often go to war with one another simply to test which clan is the strongest. The losing clan of a battle will be destroyed, with its survivors either dying with their clan or joining the clan who defeated them. Due to this way of life, only the strongest clans and the strongest Orcs survive, breeding future generations to become stronger and stronger. History Orcs have had a very simple history. They evolved on a planet similar to Earth until a point somewhere between that of a tribal and medieval era. Orcs have managed to learn how to craft armour and weapons like that of medieval knights, though most prefer to mix this with living in a tribal society, believing this mixture to be the pinnacle of their evolution. Warfare in Orcish society is not something to be avoided, but embraced, as constantly battling and killing each other means only the strong survive.
From birth up until the age of 15, Orcs are taught to hunt and kill their pray, honing their senses to a point of being one of the most dangerous predators on their planet. On their 15th birthday, an Orcish child is taken by their father into the vast wildernesses of Zexion and left their to fend for themselves for two weeks. If they survive and return triumphant, they will be welcomed into society as a full citizen of their tribe. If they die, their bodies are left to rot as punishment for their failure to be a "true Orc". |
