Kitty and Lana landed in Silas's living room with a thump, the sound not even stirring Kitty's sister who was sleeping off the Dead blood poisoning. Kitty's eyes stayed on her sister for a moment, worry touching her features before she turned her eyes to Lana. She checked over Lana's immobilization sigils and symbols, making sure they were still in effect and that she had all her limbs. Once Kitty affirmed that Lana was in tact she turned to her daughter. "Jaya..."

Her motherly instincts overcame her purpose for being here, crossing the room in a moment and embracing her daughter tightly. "You're okay..." Kitty held her daughtet for several moments, her worry growing as she could practically smell the nervousness and depressing feelings radiating from her daughter. Then she pulled away and her tearful smile morphed into a serious solemn expression.

"I don't have much time to explain, especially not here. You must come with me."

"You're... alive..." Jaya looked wide-eyed at her mother in disbelief. Even when she hugged her she doubted this was real. It must've been a dream, or maybe a nightmare. Her eyes looked past Kitty to see Lana on the floor. At that sight she gasped and took a step back.

"What's she doing here?" Jaya asked, her hand reaching instinctively for Blightslayer.

Kitty had moved away from Jaya by now, gathering supplies from the main room and stuffing them in a backpack. Kitty knew Silas had a habit of making little secret safes with blood in them and other supplies. Kitty glanced over at her sister on the couch, then to the sword on the table. "Always so messy. Sure she wouldn't mind if I borrowed this." She snagged the staff from the table, taking the sheaths that Diana had also left on the table. 

Kitty also grabbed the gun from Diana's jacket, slipping it in her own before going back over to her daughter with a back pack slung over her shoulder. "Shes not a threat at the moment sweetheart but we HAVE to go. Your father is in trouble again. Now please take my hand." Kitty held out her hand to her daughter after drawing the teleportation runes on the floor, her hand glowing a light purple.

"I..." Jaya looked between Kitty and Lana in confusion, still hesitant to trust this was real. Part of her begged to believe her mother was alive and well though and that part of her agreed to take her hand.

It was clear as she stepped forward and held her mother's hand she was both scared and confused. A constant frowning gaze kept itself on Lana mostly, keeping an eye out for if this was some plan on her part. Not only did the threat of Lana scare her but so did the memory.

The nightmares came to mind...

Kitty gave Jaya's hand a comforting squeeze and a small smile.  Then the purple runes she had carved into the floor began to glow and Kitty muttered several words that definitely weren't English.  There was a pulling sensation on Kitty and she held Jaya's hand tightly. 

Then suddenly the dropped on a patch of long green grass,  bright sunlight shining down on them.  They appeared to be by the mountain side,  judging by the large mountain in front of them. Kitty released Jaya's hand,  looking a bit pale and green.  She felt quite dizzy,  she hadn't used this much magic in one sitting in a long time.  It was incredibly taxing.

Jaya shook her head to rid it of the dizzying effects of teleportation. Once she could think straight she looked around, taking in the view of the mountainside. 

"Wow," She smiled at it's beauty. Recently she had grown incredibly fond of nature and it's landscapes.

"So, what's going on?" Her gaze turned to Lana and Kitty. A small gulp could be heard from her, as obviously she was scared of what this was.

Once the dizziness had faded away Kitty stood, her face turning alarmingly serious. "Lana cast a spell on your father and now he is under the control of a dark god." Kitty casted a slight glare in Lana's direction.  "According to her the only way to break the spell is to purge it from his system via Blightslayer. " Kitty motioned towards her daughters sword before a frown began to form on her face. 

"But you must first unlock Blightslayers full power, and learn how to actually weild a sword in general. " A nagging and cold voice in the back of her head whispered, "You could call the person who taught you. "  Kitty rubbed her forehead and banished Corsetta's suggestion from her mind.  "I'm here to teach you.  I'd rather keep you out of harms way and do this myself.  But I can't touch the sword.  It would either kill me or do who knows what." 

Kitty began walking briskly towards the rocky mountain, dragging Lana by her hair,  an action which sent a sliver of satisfaction through her.  Upon reaching the rock Kitty placed her hand against it, moving it around as if searching for something before she seemed to find it.  

Kitty's hand sunk into the rock and with a groan it slid away and an entrance was revealed, the glow of old runes inside giving it an eerie and slightly foreboding lighting.

As Jaya listened she frowned towards Lana, clearly brewing with anger at the woman. She'd done countless things to her family and she had no idea how someone could be so persistently evil. There were no signs that Lana was under any mind control. It seemed she was cruel of her own accord.

"It's full power?" Jaya raised an eyebrow, unsheathing the blade. Whilst she could always feel the purging energy pulse from it's hilt, it had always felt like something was missing.

"Yup.  Full power. " Kitty walked through the entrance of the mountainous cavern,  flicking her wrist and sending out small fireballs towards the torches on the walls. It was much easier to see now although there wasn't much to see.  It was a large circular rock room, although a good chunk of the wall to the left was covered in glowing red runes,  a muffled sound coming from behind it.  Kitty seemed to flinch when the sound reached her ears,  after all she had sensitive hearing. In another sort of corner in the room were two cots covered in dust,  a few incredibly old toys scattered around the two beds.  Near by was also a child sized table and two chairs.  There was another groan and the rock wall slid back into place. 

"I saw what happened to your father when he wielded that sword,  the demon burst out of him and his hair turned white and his eyes gold." She walked over to her daughter after dropping Lana,  putting a hand on her head and petting her hair affectionately, "Although the sword turned you into an angel you're still only a blonde. " 

Then Kitty walked over to a lone green rune on the wall,  using the rocky wall to slice her palm open before she dlammed her bloody hand on the rune.  It's glow intensified and suddenly a small portion of rock on the right seemed to leap off the wall in the shape of a man,  heading straight for Jaya with a rocky sword in his grey hands.  "Show me what you've got sweetheart,  use the sword. "

Jaya looked around at the strange place, examining the runes and furniture which all seemed so out of place inside a mountain. Whilst Kitty spoke she nodded in understanding. The white haired Dan had been the one she killed under the starforgers control. Definitely not one of her proudest moments.

She hadn't thought about her own transformation though. The change was big for sure but nowhere near as drastic. Not only that but the sword didn't spark with the same white flame it was once did in Dan's hands.

Her thoughts were cut off by the attack of a rocky figure, forcing her to unsheathe Blightslayer quickly and raise it in defense. A clumsy block kept her safe for now but pushed her back. In retaliation she sliced right at the middle of the figure, although it was clear her form was unrefined.

Jaya's move did hit the figure, but it only managed to land a deep cut in its middle. If it weren't made of rock it would most certainly be dead, but Kitty did not look pleased at all. The figure lurched forward again but Kitty held up a hand, speaking with a thickly accented voice. "Jeg beordrer dig til at stoppe." Instantly the figure stopped, walking back over to the wall it walked out of and melted back into it. 

The redhead walked over to the blonde, a frown on her face. "You movements are clumsy and slow. You do not put enough force behind your strikes and from your poor unrefined form and stance when you do put force behind your strikes they do not aim well." Then Kitty muttered under her breath, "I'm loathe to admit it, but she's right. She does swing it around like its a training sword." 

Kitty rolled her shoulders, standing up straighter and looking at her daughter with frustration. "We have much to do and so little time..." As much as Kitty wanted to get to Jaya fully unlocking the Blightslayer, no matter how much power Jaya had access to from the sword her father would slice her in half because of her poor swordsmanship. "Alright put that away and take this. We've got a lot to do." She passed her one Diana's swords, holding the other in her on hand.

Once the figure stopped Jaya lowered her weapon, turning to her mother. She knew herself that her sword skills were sub-par, but what better person to learn from than a legendary warrior. With a nod of understanding she sheathed Blightslayer.

"Okay," She spoke mostly to herself in preparation for training. Her hand accepted the sword and held it firmly, assuming the same position as before.

From there she eyed up Kitty, waiting for her to move or speak.

Kitty stepped back a bit, heading over to the backpack she took from Silas's house. She opened it and pulled out a bloodbag, tearing it open with her teeth and starting to drink. Once she was done she squeezed the empty bag in her fist, burning the bag up fairly quickly. Kitty tapped her finger on her chin, thoughts churning around in her head. "Your father generally uses a scythe when he fights now, not very good for close quarters combat. You need room to swing it, up to five feet or more depending on its size. But sword fighting is usually 1 to four feet, that means you have to remain in close quarters to him. Everytime he steps back you have to step forward and strike quickly, most he can do is block it with the staff part of the scythe." 

She walked back over to her daughter, having sheathed her half of the the sword and stood straight. "I can teach you what you need to survive the fight. But I warn you sweetheart, I will continue teaching you after this until you can kick his ass repeatedly. Mostly for my entertainment." She chuckled and offered her daughter a smile and a wink, then the serious expression was back on her face. "Show me your stance."

Jaya nodded along with Kitty's words, seeing the logic in her point about the scythe. Once she'd finished she asked to see her stance and to that Jaya could only try.

She widened her footing and raised her blade infront of her at a slight angle facing her mother. Her back was bent slightly due mostly from bad habit.

"Erm, this I guess." She said, her eyes flickering down to examine her own position.

Kitty shook her head, but kept her expression neutral as she walked around her daughter.  When she got behind her she straightened her back,  crouching down and pushing her legs together a bit more tightly.  Then she grabbed Jayas hand and tightened her grip on the sword and angled it outward more.  "There we go. Now show me your strike. "

Jaya allowed herself to be shifted, watching each change to take note. If she was going to free her father from the darkness she'd have to listen and learn from everything Kitty said.

"There we go. Now show me your strike." Her mother said.

In response she nodded, before looking straight forward in concentration. After a few seconds of thought she struck out with an angled slice, right-to-left. Whilst it had the element of speed, it's precision and strength were lacking.

"Alright your speed was a bit better that time,  but your precision and strength were a bit lack luster. " She directed then she reached forward and pinched the inside of Jaya's elbow.  "Keep that tighter. Although there needs to be a certain fluidity when you move, your movements must also be tight.  It helps with precision. "

Kitty stepped back,  frowning again. "You're an Angel.  You should be stronger than that." Then Kitty tilted her head to the side. "Tap into your anger.  Use it to give you strength."

"Alright," Jaya breathed, tightening her statue as directed. "My anger? Are you sure?" Her gaze turned with a questioning look, unsure whether it was the right thing to do for a being of light.

"Aren't demons... you know... the ones who use anger?" She looked down somewhat, remembering her father's demon. "Do angels not use... I don't know... Peaceful thoughts?".

Jaya sighed before turning forward again, deciding not to further argue her point. Instead she focused on her anger deep inside, the one that burned against Lana and the darkness. With it she empowered herself and struck forward, this time straight into the floor to leave a crack in it's stone.

Light shimmered around her for a second, the premise of holy energy nearly bursting throughout her.

A grin spread across Kitty's face. "Excellent sweetheart." She moved closer to Jaya,  taking the hand that wasn't around the sword and putting it in front of Jaya's face.  "Look. " 

Kitty was still smiling,  something a bit unusual for her.  "You see the trick with using your anger is to channel it,  not let it consume you. Right now you're channeling it,  look at what you've done.  I'm so proud of you. "

"Wow..." Jaya almost gasped at the crack in the floor, moving aside the blade to better look at it. It was not extremely deep but still impressive for herself nonetheless. "I didn't know I could do that."

"But still," She shook her head, eyes closing for a second to think. "How do we unlock Blightslayer's power? I'm nowhere near my father's strength."

"Maybe it isn't about strength." She murmured, a thoughtful expression on her face.  She pulled Diana's sword up from the crack in the ground.  "Maybe... " 

"I used to have a sword called the Arclight Blade. Angel sword actually, ironic.  But the thing is it took me a bit to actually figure out how to use it's powers.  I was just swinging it around expecting something to happen,  I mean I could feel the power inside it but I wasn't accessing it. " Kitty was running her fingers up and down Diana's blade as she spoke, she looked lost in thought for a moment before something struck her. 

"Maybe you need to connect with the swords power.  Call on it in a sort of way. " She stood up, running a hand through her hair. "Reach down inside of it like you just reached inside yourself and just try and touch it.  Don't try to make something happen,  just try and touch it and see what happens. "

"Really?" Jaya asked, finding it hard to believe she could achieve anything to the same level of her father. However when it seemed her mother had come up with an idea she listened closely.

She'd never heard of the Arclight Blade or the fact that Kitty had wielded it, which was due to their lack of time together thanks to Lana. Her experience however was relevant to the subject. There was a power she could sense in Blightslayer, one she always knew was there but had never specifically called out.

Unsheathing the blade once more she held it tightly, staring at the runes engraved upon it's side. There she stood for a moment, focusing on the power inside both herself and the blade. For the first time she called it out to be unearthed.

White light shot out suddenly, blinding the both of them temporarily until a new figure appeared beside them. The final slither of fear and darkness lingering within Jaya had been purged and stood before them in a shadowy form. While it stood there in a pure black colour, Jaya now contrasted it; her hair pure white and her eyes a striking orange.

Blightslayer was now alight with white flames, awaiting the death of her final darkness.

Kitty stumbled backwards , her hands over her eyes as she struggled to see. Her eyes were much more sensitive than the other's, it took her a moment longer to be able to see. "Well. That's...Yeah I've got nothing." Kitty got up, dusting herself off and looking at the shadowy figure and her daughter. "At least it didn't split off and start going berserk like your father's demon did." 

Kitty glanced over at Lana, the vampire looked a tad uneasy. Those runes may keep her from moving, an effect that would probably wear off in a couple hours if Kitty didn't keep a watchful eye on them, but they did not withhold her tongue. It surprised Kitty that Lana did not seem to have any biting or taunting words for Kitty or Jaya. Kitty's eyes moved back to her daughter briefly, she felt that her daughter could handle herself for the moment. She walked over to Lana, crouching down in front of her with a calculating look on her face. 

"Cat got your tongue?" Then Kitty chuckled at the unintentional pun, but then her face grew serious. "I know full well that I will not be able to teach my daughter the skills she would need in this very moment to survive a fight with her father. I also know that I can not wait too long, Zalgo is a threat that is growing quickly and he for the time being has Death at his beck and call." Kitty had a plan, sorta, it wasn't entirely fool proof and could end up getting her killed. "So where are they now?"

Once the light had cleared from her vision Jaya stood strong in the face of her darkness. Already she could feel the newfound power from her sword flowing throughout her. White embers flickered from her blade as soon as she moved, carving it's flow in the air as it cut through the shadowy figure with ease. Blightslayer parted the darkness like cloth, causing it to dissipate into nothing.

Now that it's need to purge had been sated, the blade returned to it's usual appearance. It's accompanying sense of power however stayed with Jaya.

Meanwhile Lana sighed, looking up with a scowl at Kitty.
"On your doorstep." She retorted.

"Good, I don't have to go far then." Kitty gave Lana a smirk and was about to stand up before she paused, "I hope you know that after this is over I won't be killing you. I have better plans." Then Kitty stood and walked over to her daughter. She put a hand on Jaya's shoulder, a smile still on her face. "I'm afraid we don't have any more time sweetheart. Your father is already on our doorstep." Kitty cracked her knuckles, running a hand through her hair. "Time to go for plan B." 

The vampire moved back over to the backpack she had tossed on the bed, opening it up and downing a few more blood bags. She would need her strength. "I wear him down then you take the cheap shot." Kitty left the bag there, slipping her hand into her vest and wrapping it around the potion. That was plan C, although she still wasn't sure it would work. Then she headed for the door after grabbing Lana by the hair again, pressing her other palm to the door as it slid away. "You probably aren't going to like this part sweetie but it's gotta be done." 

There were some hikers near by, close enough for even Jaya to hear their voices. "Few sacrifices might draw him out...God knows this place already has enough death energy around it." This mountain side and surrounding forest used to be Kitty's village over a thousand years ago, the village she burned to the ground. Kitty dropped her grip on Lana's hair, withdrawing one sword and darting off towards the hiker's voices. There were four of them, within a minute of screaming Kitty had slit their throats and soaked the ground with their blood.
