Name: The Nypherians
Homeplanet: It's a bit complicated. This can be explained in their history. However, for all purposes. We shall call the planet they're currently living on in this Galaxy, Spire.
Sentience: Sentient
Strengths
Their strengths range to a wide spread of "tools". The first thing that they have is extreme thought process, warfare, technology, research, navigating the stars ( they're explorers ), learning new languages, and a mean learning curve.
Weaknesses
What they lack is compassion. They only see numbers and statistics. Like most or all organic life have feelings and emotions. Nypherians have zero emotions and only respond to data and/or what's the best alternative. They also lack sympathy or empathy, as they see it, what happens...happens. They look down upon religion and people reacting emotionally and not logically. Thus why they avoid contact with other alien life.
Their weakness is their technology. Since isolating themselves, they're lost to their past. Magic is one way to combat them besides technology. They do the handle magic well at all. They're most likely would step back and watch you for a while before ever combating you again. If you can combat them technologically, it would be a drawn out war that they would get tired with . If hacking or brute force doesn't work, they'll leave you alone by accepting the false narratives of their choices and move on.
Appearance
they're a machine species . They use to be human but rejected the organic life and became machine. They still have a human like appearance but only their shape. Everything is machine. The advanced metal is black as the night sky, their heads are cylinder in nature but the head is elongated. On their backs are 2 thick antenna that are used for galaxy wide communication between space stations or ground to ground communication. Their eyes are simply a red dot that moves back and forward across a black band on their heads.
Then there is the more human like appearance that is used very rarley. These bodies are only created to communicate with other Organic life. They're human but their skin is light blue. The hair of the body is neon blue and the eyes are bright purple. They hold an appearance to be friendly and polite.They stand up straight, smile, and speak your species language. The even rarer type are the military kind. The ones that are only used if they can fly their ships high in the sky to spy on you.
They're used for espionage and actually have some emotion. They're trained to survive and fight if the choice has to be made.
Culture
They have lost their own cultural identity. They have no religious views. They look down on it as invalid or "noncompadible". Though, they will never insulted your culture, just list it as "culture conflicted".
History
They are you and me. They use to be humans. On the year 2210. Earth was engulfed in war. With the draining resources and war covering the globe. The Americans, Russians, Canadians, and parts of the EU. They left Earth on ships that took off into space. They left Earth just as a Nuclear apocalypse rained down and ended all life. They became trapped in a worm hole and was transported to another universe. There, they grew with their hatred of organic life because of their pain. Lost their home to war, they tossed away their identity as humans.
They began to change their appearance. It was first their arms and legs, until it became the full machine body you see today. They conquered galaxys. Soon, that wasn't enough. They wanted much more than that. With their growing technology. They learned how to travel between universes and continued their war on organic life. That is until the came in contact with the Twin Blade Empire . The second Universal war began as the two Empires fought it out. in the end, the Twin Blade fell and the Nypherians stole their technology and made it their own.
With in the smoldering remains of world's, they realized what they were doing was wrong. They retreated to the void and hiding there for all eternity as punishment. However, they continued to research new technology as that was their passion. They still kept to themselves as they avoided all contact with the other life forms . That changed with the understanding of so many refugees. Those that lost their homes and planets because of the Second Universal War. They took them in and created world's for them to live in. They welcomed anyone that wanted a new home to live in peace.
They have no leader, they only have the code. They're a hive mind that makes them all connected. The true step to happiness is to be bound by the code and share data in a void wide network of information. There is one being that lives with them. He keeps to himself as they rescued him before the destruction of his home. His was the son of the leader of the Twin blade Empire. In time, he grew up to be the Void walker. Though, his family couldn't keep to themselves. His great grandfather, Anu Mau, began his own wave of terror. Recruiting an ancient species call Asmodians. They began a war with the Nypherians that still rages today. As Anu Maui wants his powers. Thus lingers the possibility of a third Universal war.
To keep the people distracted from the conflict. They created the Void wars. A virtual completion of conflict between species. Over 100 teams have been created and everyone is involved in this virtual sport. Now the Nypherians seek small outposts in other galaxys just looking for Asmodians.
( Clarifications, won't use Anu Mau, The void walker "Seyfer", or the Asmodians. just giving a detailed history of why they do certain things. This is a book series I been writing and so hope to share that with you...before I publish the books. if too op. I apologize !)
