Strengths
-Armor piercing, The blade has high sharpness and a double plasma treated edge. When combined with medium to high strength it can severely damage modern combat armor, assuming it's not super heavy armor (I.E Seraphim pressure suits). But even heavy armor will eventually fall to the plasma edge this blade boasts, even if it takes alot longer.
-Ranged magical jolts, the blade acts as a medium for mages. Allowing the user to utilize the blade as a wand when necesary.
-Chained, the blade has a chain attached, allowing it to be used as a grapple hook to swing over gaps or drag enemies into meelee distance however, the sword in their chest usually kills them making the drag ability mostly useless.
Weaknesses
-Range, unsurprisingle with it being a sword it cant be used over long range. The sword can be used over medium range though in two ways: channeling magic through the blade and throwing it.
-Weight, the blade is pretty lightweight wich would seem like a strength as it is easy to swing around but the problem is that the light weight is not benefitial in attacking armored targets as the lack of weight fails to maximize the plasma edge properly, thus requiring decent strength to wield properly.
-Meelee damage, technically despite the plasma treated edge and the ability to channel magic the blade is a meelee weapon being most efficient against unarmored targets while being less effective against armored targets. While both opponents will most likely fall, one falls faster than the other.
-Magical deficiency, due to the magical properties while being technically physical damage, the blade is useless against those who have armor that defends them against magical attacks.
-Primitive savagery, the higher the opponent's armor tech is, the longer it will take for the blade to get a critical strike and become effective.
Description
In the battle against the orcs, the most common way of offense were swords. Though outdated, the elves updated their swords to make them relevant again on the battlefield. Many knights carried their trusty swords into battle for years until their kingdom was finally defeated. |
