The RPG System
The RPG System is an optional progression and combat system introduced in Season 2. It provides meaningful development in ability and power of characters through gaining Experience and leveling up to become stronger.

Levels and Stats
Levels are gained through earning experience, as detailed in the General Guide to Convergence RP.
Level 1 characters start with 2 Base Physical, Speed, and Magic Damage.

Every 2nd level you gain 1 Skill Point. These can be assigned to:

Strength: The physical power of your character. (Affects Physical damage)
Agility: The speed and acrobatic ability of your character. (Affects Speed damage)
Constitution: The defensive capability of your character. (Affects Health)
Wisdom: The intellectual and magical ability of your character. (Affects Magic damage)
Charisma: The persuasion and diplomacy skills of your character. (Affects Illusion spells and character interactions).

Level 1 characters start with 2 points in each stat.
They may choose one stat to start at 4 points and one to start at 3.

The affects each Stat has on your health and damage is calculated by the RPG Master and automatically displayed on your sheet. Don't worry!

Types
Weapons do damage with certain elements which counter other elements. The diagram below explains what counters what:

For example Mjolnir, the hammer of Thor, is a Thunder-based weapon. If someone were to use a water-based weapon or attack against him, he would be able to counter it with good reason. However, an Earth-based spell would be his vulnerability.

Combat
Weapons approved in the Armoury have a damage number, which is the amount of health they take from a character upon hitting. Attacks without using approved weapons use a character's base damage, found on their stat sheet. Once a character reaches 0HP in a fight, they are too injured to carry on and must withdraw from battle or die.

There are three types of base damage on a characters stat sheet; Physical, Speed, and Magic. These are affected by Strength, Agility, and Wisdom respectively.

Physical attacks are contests of brute force such as punching or plunging a sword into someone's chest. Speed attacks involve dodging, counterattacks, acrobatics, and firing ranged weapons. Magic attacks are any spells used or magically enchanted weapons.

Example
The Demon (9HP) roared loudly, leaping forward with great force to try and pound Jaya into the ground. (4 Physical Damage)

Jaya raised her sword but was too late, being hit down into the dirt harshly (36HP). Quickly though she retaliated, rolling aside to fire a bolt of holy light up at the demon. (4 Magic Damage).

The demon recoiled backwards after recieving the holy energy to the face (5HP). In it's rage it slammed down again, trying to crush her.

Jaya managed to move quickly this time, sidestepping the slam by placing her sword between it's fist and her. This sword, Blightslayer, then twisted upwards to stab the demon in the chest (5 Light Damage).

In this example Jaya is using Blightslayer, a sword that does 5 Light damage. At first she took 4 damage from the demon's base physical attack, then dealt 4 with her base magic attack. After that she was able to dodge the demon's attack, since Blightslayer is stated in it's submission to be strong against demons she has reason to counter it. Her final attack uses her submitted weapon, and deals 5 Light damage as stated on her stat sheet.
