Description
Sweet Agony is believed to have been created for an evil purpose by an elven nobleman. The nobleman's daughter was infatuated with a young soldier who was way beneath her station. Unable to keep the two apart the nobleman commissioned the bow with the powerful curse. Knowing the soldier to be an expert marksman he held an archery tournament with the prize being his amazing new magical bow. The winner would also be granted a kiss from his daughter.
Unable to say no the soldier entered the tournament winning it easily. The 100 year war kicked off in earnest mere months later and the soldier was forced to utilize the bow over and over again. The longing to use the bow mixed with the pain and suffering caused by it. Eventually the soldier was killed by his own men as he began shooting into their ranks driven to do so by the bow. The bow was thrown towards the enemy lines where it was hoped some other fool would pick it up. Back and forth through the entirety of the 100 year war Sweet Agony was used, drove somebody mad, and then was thrown to the opposing force. The shattering caused the bow to disappear into myth and legend.
The bow is a short bow unassuming in appearance other than the noticable red hue to the wood.
