Not sure where to put this I appologize if it's in the wrong spot.  Lineak, my character, is going to have magical abilities that he grows into over time.  I plan on rping these changes but as they are based on his lycanthropy and do not have the same base as any of the typical wizard type magics am I allowed a bit of a free hand as long as I can stay within the restraints of my magic level?

The next question would be progressing through the magic ranks without somebody to train with is that going to be a viable option in my case? As somebody who just recently turned into a werewolf and without anybody to guide him I can see him "falling into" a few of his powers by accident.  Things that I would rp of course.  Once again not sure if that is a viable option or not.
