Kitty grunted and attempted to wriggle out of the grip, letting out a hiss of pain when she found herself unable to. Then a very risky and dangerous thought occurred to the vampire. "Here's to hoping our interests are still aligned." She wheezed out before suddenly her eyes turned a blazing red, her skin turned white and her hair turned black. The transition was much easier here in Oblivion, the negative energies gave Corsetta a stronger hold on Kitty. 

The vampire grinned up at the giant, despite her current situation. "You really shouldn't touch me." As soon as she said those words her skin began to change, lava replacing flesh and blood. Using this new form to her advantage instead of focusing on say burning the giant she oozed out from under his hand, reforming in front of his hand. She glanced back at the Ghost Rider, then back at the entrance behind the giant. Corsetta didn't particularly care for the Ghost Rider, so perhaps she would leave him to deal with the problem. She turned back towards the entrance while still in her lava form, moving quickly in an attempt to go through the giants legs and into the mountain while the Ghost Rider dealt with the Jailor.

"Marines! Help Dan hold the line, go!" Sebastian ordered them. They moved to assist Dan almost instantly.
Meanwhile Masterson and Kalashnikov were both staying away from the animated trees and maintaining fire from relatively safe distances. However both were occasionally attacked by demons from flanking positions and were struggling to maintain their own.

Seeing this, Sebastian contacted the ship.
"This is Spartan Duarte to the bridge. Could I ask for a favour Captain?"

Sensing the presence of Corsetta as soon as Kitty transformed into her, the Ghost Rider quickened his pace, however he was still not fast enough as she had managed to move past the giant. The Ghost Rider kept running however, and when he drew near enough, leapt into the air, raising his arms up and forging two large chains with sharp tips within a second, and as he came down towards the Jailor he brought his arms down fast, whipping the chains downwards towards the Jailor.

The Jailor roared in anger as his victim escaped the clutches of his hand. In his rage he turned to swing his giant axe at the woman, but seconds later he lost all control of his arm. That was because a red hot chain ripped right down his shoulder, dismembering his arm from his body. As a result the arm, and the axe along with it, carried on forwards in flight, threatening to slam right into the fleeing Corsetta. If she dodged or it missed, it would still be headed for the entrance to cut her off.

Despite this accidental genius, the giant cried out in anger once again and turned to swipe down at the Ghost Rider with his remaining hand.

"It's gonna cost you a drink, Spartan." Dumont quipped as the UNSC Magnifique came into view from the dark clouded sky. The roar of it's engines caused Angel and Demon to glance to the sky, a rather large interuption to their battle. Without delay the ship began to open fire, safely aiming several ranks behind the front to prevent collateral damage.

"Pick of their frontline while we drive the rear back." His voice came through comms, as he tapped along screens to issue his orders to the cannons. They strategically scattered the rear of the demon's causing a retreat at the very back. The front however was stuck between Angels and Cannonfire, with no choice but to fight until they died.

Corsetta growled in annoyance, dodging the axe by only a hair as the lava returned to flesh and blood. She slipped around it quickly, she did not want to give the giant another chance to head her off. When she darted through the entrance she glanced back at the Ghost Rider for only a moment, a flash of blue in her eyes before red over came it. Then she carried on inside.

"Alright the Captain's got the rear, we have 'em trapped. Finish those bastards off!" Sebastian shouted.
Kalashnikov switched to her automatic weapon and charged with the rest. Masterson was able to deal heavy blows to demons with her shotgun while Kalashnikov gunned them down from a slightly farther distance.

Meanwhile, a group of five marines collectively engaged one of the larger demons.
The demon tried to shoo them off with fireballs but his aim was too slow. A marine had opened fire sooner, with the projectiles impacting against his chest and arm. The impact against the arm caused the demon to fire a fireball skyward, giving three other marines a chance to close in. All three pounced onto the large creature, driving their combat knives into his chest, neck and spine. The demon roared, less in pain but more so in anger as it tried to shake the three off. 

Meanwhile the first marine maintained fire, this time his aim was on the demon's legs. The last marine joined the first and both managed to bring the demon down to its knees with sustained fire. Meanwhile, one of the marines latched onto the demon was thrown off and the demon made a grab for the other's leg, and swinging him off as well and slamming him into the ground hard. The final marine was also on the verge of being shaken off. Meanwhile the two that had been firing stopped and charged at the demon head-on. The first that reached slammed the butt of his rifle into the demon's temple, dazing it. The other slammed his into the demon's solar plexus. Both of them repeatedly hit the demon again and again as it started to lose strength.

The demon tried with all its might to make a grab for the soldiers swinging their rifles at it, however one of its arms was weighed down by another marine latching onto it with a combat knife. Meanwhile, the marine that was still on its back repeatedly drove his knife into the demon's spine, and after almost a minute of taking this punishment, the giant demon fell dead.

"OO-RAH!"

The Ghost Rider only narrowly managed to dodge the attack that was swiped downward at him. Quickly, he brought himself back up and conjured another chain of fire from his right hand, swiping it down at the demon's arm with the aim to slice it with the spiked tip.

If this attempt were to be successful, he'd follow up this attack by pivoting around to face the Jailor, and swiping the same chain upwards in an uppercut attack aimed for it's neck in one move.

"The mistress will slay your friend, and I shall destroy you!" The Jailor shouted as he let the vampire escape, turning his full attention to the flaming man. A fiery cut ripped open on his arm as the chain hit him once again, but he refused to give in.

Reaching out his hand towards the axe, the giant weapon ripped from it's crack in the wall and returned to his hand. Unknowingly the axe had been supporting what was left of the entrance to the mountain's core, and with it's removal the passage fell down until there was little to no way in.

"Surrender yourself to Oblivion!" He commanded, bringing his axe up to deflect the last swipe of the chain. Although it didn't hit him, the chain did managed to wrap around his axe.

Meanwhile Kitty would find herself entering the mountain's core, a large circular chamber of carved black rock. In the middle sat a prison cell that glowed red with magical enchantments, and inside was the objective; Jaya. Huddled over in the corner, her golden wings glowed dimmer than ever. She was broken and hurt, too out of it to turn around and look who had entered.

Lana however did notice, as she was sat atop the cell waiting.
"So you made it," She smirked, dropping down almost like a feather to the stone ground. "Atleast you'll see your daughter before you die."

By the time the UNSC Magnifique had finished it's first run, the demon's had been crushed and forced back out of the forest. On their heels came the Angels and Marines, running them down until the ground became softer and wetter. Soon enough they were south enough to be in the swamps, and pools of murky water appeared around them. It was here the demons suddenly stopped to make their stand, pushing back against the angels.

"I don't like this." Dan commented, shooting his pistols left and right, picking off any incoming demon's whilst he concentrated more on the surroundings.
Suddenly creatures rose from the depths of the swamps; foul things blue of skin that had seemingly mutated to adapt under the water. Webbed hands grabbed out at angels and marines, whilst piranha-like teeth snapped at them from eyeless faces. Thanks to these creatures the demons numbers had bolstered again.

Corsetta smirked in return, a mad glint in her glowing blood red eyes. "You know i'm almost tempted to let you kill me without a fight, if only to watch the hell that will rain down on you in return." Her hand moved towards the handle of her sword, unsheathing it in a swift movement while flames crawled downward on the blade. "But I would much rather fight and give your skin to Jaya as a birthday present." 

Corsetta's red gaze flicked towards her daughter, rage boiling through her veins even more so than usual. "I'll be just a minute sweetie, Mommy has to take out the trash." Then she turned back to Lana, darting forward at an inhumane speed with the tip of her sword aiming for Lana's throat.

Diana only grinned at Dan's comment, even going so far as to laugh. "What? Afraid of getting a little wet?" She retorted in return before actually running TOWARDS the water. When she got close enough she leaped into the air, flying over a few of the webbed water monsters. The second her feet touched the very top of the water it began to freeze beneath her. She skated around on it, leaving a small trail of ice around her as she began to show off. 

She ducked, jumped and flipped to avoid the grabbing hands of the water monsters all the while shooting ice shards that were aimed towards their foreheads. Then she skated around in a circle before twirling, the water around the ice shooting up into the air like a wave and crashing outwards in all directions. It either washed up some of the water monsters or knocked over demons. Then she stopped spinning, kneeling down before raising her palms upward as a large amount of water began to rise up with them. Then she threw her hands to the sides, the water quickly hardening into a large multitude of ice shards and flying towards the demons. She stuck her tongue out at Dan, grinning. "Try and beat that chuckle head." Then a water monster grabbed at her ankle.

Gunning down a demon, Sebastian thereafter turned to look at the show put on by Diana.
"Hell, I thought she'd be just as much of a pain as Kitty. Marines! Give her cover! Stay away from the swamp!" He ordered them before turning his attention to one of the creatures that had emerged from it. Preparing a grenade, he fired a short controlled burst with his assault rifle at the creature's head, before tossing the explosive at such an angle that he hoped it would land right under the creature.

The Ghost Rider took the opportunity immediately and yanked at the chain withhis inhuman strength, aiming to free it of the Jailor's grasp.

At the same time, his jaw opened wide and a torrent of fire blasted outwards, aimed at the giant's face.

Like an arrow through smoke, Kitty's sword went straight through the black mist that stood where Lana had just seconds ago. She had dissipated into pure shadow, before reforming behind her almost instantly. From there she aimed a kick at her spine, putting enough force in to try and break it.
"I will feast on your daughter's heart and mount her head atop the spikes of my throne." She taunted Kitty, hoping to make her swing with her sword once again. If she did she would be ready to intercept the arm and take hold, yanking down to try and break her arm too.

Meanwhile the Jailor's axe was ripped from his grip, clanging to the floor loudly. Before he could react a hose of flames shot into his face, causing him to retreat backwards whilst trying to shake the flames off him. His back hit the cavern wall causing it to shake the whole structure, but he was now too busy grasping his face to try put out the flames. It was as if he'd forgotten about the enemy before him.

Choosing not to comment on Diana's display, Dan simply turned to finish off the creatures in a different direction. Her move had negated ambush's effects, leaving the demons in the same position as before. They were promptly pushed back, retreating directly to the south.

"Move around the right! Force them to the south east. They'll house up in the ruins!" Dan shouted to even the angels who at first hesitated in whether they should listen. However their leader landed beside Dan and looked to his kin.
"To the ruins!" He shouted, nodding to Dan afterwards.

"You wanna play that game then? Fine, it's something I happened to be quite good at." Corsetta snarled out before landing on the floor with a clatter from the kick, it took her another moment to get up as the broken bones healed fairly quickly when she was in this form. Indeed Corsetta did turn around to strike with her sword once more, but she anticipated Lana's move and from her wrist up to her shoulder morphed into lava. If Lana were to still attempt to grab onto her arm Corsetta would then drop the sword and  kick out her left foot in an attempt to hook it around her ankle before yanking it back to knock her over. If her sword were to drop because her movements were successful, a glint of light would catch the sword to show an inscription of a name on its blade. Tagon Youngblood. 

Should she be able to do this Corsetta would then raise her foot to slam it down onto the woman's ankle with enough force to break it. Then she would raise her free arm and let her hand morph into lava like claws to be brought downwards in an attempt to slice her throat open.

With a show of her enhanced strength Diana yanked her ankle forward, forcibly pulling the water demon onto the ice. Then she formed an ice axe in her hands, bringing it downwards to slice off the water demons hand before slamming it down on it's head. Then she moved towards the center of the ice circle she had made, it would prevent the water demons from grabbing her ankles. Instead of focusing on the outside demons she focused on ones in her own element, moving and twisting her hands around to either pull them out of the water with water or to skewer them with ice when they attempted to climb onto the little ice stage.

But Diana was beginning to show signs of exhaustion, she had not used her powers to this capacity in a long time and it was gaining on her. Ice shards slammed down with a bit less force, water moved at a slower pace. She was beginning to sweat but still she pushed on.

Seeing what Dan was trying to do, Sebastian contacted his troops over the comms and gave the newest instructions: "Engage them from the west flank, make them move towards those old ruins towards the south east, pronto!"

The marines moved as he commanded, disengaging themselves from the battlefield and moving towards the western side, and blanketing the demons with gunfire in an effort to move them towards the south east.

Having freed the axe from the giant's grip, the Ghost Rider took the chance of the Jailor being distracted to pull the axe towards himself once again. However he exerted more of this force on the axe until it was coming at him with speed. As it gained velocity, he yanked the chain towards the right and began to slide the massive weapon around in a circle. He spun once, twice and then on the third the axe was airborne.

Hoping the Jailor was still distracted, he released the axe straight towards the giant's head and neck area at high speed.

By the time the Jailor could see again, his axe was already swinging around infront of him. It gained speed with each spin before finally launching through his neck. Rotten blood splattered upwards whilst the stitch-covered head dropped to the floor and rolled. Along with the head dropped it's whole form, down onto it's knees before straight onto it's stomach. The dead silence and stillness indicated the abomination was finally dead.

As for Lana, she found it harder than expected to grab Kitty's arm. The sword dropped from her grasp and instead a kick came around and pulled her down by the ankle. Another kick came down, but this time Lana was prepared. Under her breath she muttered a single word.

"Zalgo."


Black shadows burst out from where Lana had been, and Kitty's foot would hit nothing but the stone floor. The mass of black energy launched itself onto Kitty, latching onto her with multiple shadowy tendrils. Countless more came shooting out, aiming to puncture holes throughout the whole of Kitty's neck and chest area. All the while Kitty would see only a pair of swirling orange eyes staring straight at her, whispering words of insanity.

As the demons were run out of the swamps they then came across a desert-like ground. Before them lay a collection of derelict stone ruins, to which the remaining demons attempt to flee.
"Trap them in there! The ship can take them out in one!" Dan shouted to those around, which relayed through the leaders of the Angels to their kin.

Soon enough the demons were all within the ruins, firing out spells and arrows in their last ditch attempt at defense. The order was ready to be given, but as Dan was about to raise his hand to communicate, he felt something in the distance...

A gargled gasp slipped out of Corsetta's lips, along with a multitude of scarlet blood. Her skin darkened, now tan instead of a pasty white shade. The black seemed to disappear from her hair altogether, there wasn't a single strand of black in the red locks. Her red eyes seemed to be swallowed up by a bright blue, shock residing in them. More blood stained the ground as the shadows repeatedly punctured her body, but she didn't attempt to fight them off. Instead she reached for the small orb pendant that rested against her collar bone. 

Already things were beginning to darken and sounds grew quieter, she had to act quickly. She muttered as she stared back into the glowing orange orbs, the pendant slowly beginning to glow. The second Kitty finished muttering, one of the tendrils pierced her heart. Her blue eyes dulled, but the pendant that rested just under the collar of her top glowed a light blue. Then, Kitty went limp against the shadows.

The marines and Spartans kept at a distance from the ruins, instead forcing the demons in using their firearms and taking down more and more of their diminishing ranks.
"Now?" Sebastian asked Dan, while maintaining fire.
When Dan paused in the middle of giving the signal, Sebastian noticed the silence and looked at him.
"Dan?"

As the Jailor dropped dead, the Ghost Rider watched and stayed silent for a time. However his senses were then drawn to the faint presence of another evil coming from deep inside the prison complex, beyond th blocked wall.

He walked over to the area on which the rubble had fallen, blocking the path. Kitty had made it through here, but he knew it wasn't her usual self. Nontheless, he needed to catch up. Jaya's life was at stake.
The Ghost Rider heated both of his skeletal palms up, held them out against the rubbel and blasted a continuous stream of hot fire into the rock, attempting to melt through it.
