By the end of their evening Brad was smiling and laughing throughout everything. Not because the alcohol had made him tipsy, or because he was enjoying himself, but instead because his plan was coming full circle. Sylvia was drunk, now he just needed to get her home. By now Brad was out of the restaurant with Sylvia in his arms, he hadn't realised that she was on her phone messaging someone, and in actuality it didn't bother him either.

When they reached his car, he opened the door and helped Sylvia in, then only to strap her in. "I'm going to take you to my place, you can sleep over there tonight." He said softly as he went into the drivers seat and then started up the car.

Sylvia after all the drinks she had over the night she could barely stand on her own legs, even if she did have augmentations on her legs, brad had her home in no time, and he could do his bussines with her in even less time, with the alcohol in her blood she was completely defenseless.

the next morning she woke up next to brad wearing 'little', she had a pounding headache and pain in her knees and throat, she woke up coughing and sat up straight, she looked at the night stand and it seemed she had thrown her phone onto there with little care, she opened it up to see 17 missed calls and 20 messages from her friend jessie and decided to finally call her back.

As Sylvia called, Jessie picked up straight away. She answered the phone quickly with a tired, stressed, and even scared voice. "Sylvia? Sylvia! Oh thank god you picked up, listen to me now. You need to get out of this guys apartment now! I will explain once you're out of there, I'll get there as soon as possible." Jessie said in a quick and low tone. Then before Jessie could continue a noise, something like an annoyed cough, came from behind Sylvia.

"Oh you dumb bitch, I told you not to call or talk to that brat last night!" He said as he stood on the opposite side of the bed. His voice was angry and filled with annoyance. However what made everything all the more worse, was the fact he held something in his hand. It was a long sharp blade that looked strong enough to crack bones. He then held reached for Sylvia. Grabbing her, he practically hauled her small body across the bed into his arms. "But no you had to fucking call her! Great now my damn job is going to be so much more needlessly messy!" Brad said, practically shouting into her ears.

she had a confused tone to her voice. "jessie! calm down! what are you talking about" but she couldnt hear the answer as brad grabbed her by her throat and dragged her off, though now it seemed evident what jessie wanted to say, but before dropping her phone she could utter a last shout. "HELP!" she was dragged into a basement of some sort and chained to the wall before brad placed the knife against her shoulder and pressed on it, naturally making sylvia scream. "urgh! you're no different than the others, thus you will meet the same fate as them, number 7!"

As she heard the struggle Jessie dropped her phone and then, without thinking, grabbed one of her scythe and only a small piece of her old armour. Only her leather breastplate and shoulder piece to be exact. After that she practically kicked her apartment door open and ran. Forgetting her revolver.

She had done research on this Brad. She discovered his last name, after Sylvia had messaged her his last name, and what she found was disturbing to say the least. Brad was actually a serial killer from what she found, six confirmed kills yet he was never caught. Most sources said he'd usually wooh over his victims before killing them, and by whatever god watched them, Jessie was not going to let that happen.

Jessie had started to make her way down the stairs of their apartment building, but soon realised that it would take too long for her to get down this way. So she did what she did best, she broke stuff. Turning to her right the was a window, she could easily make her way down from there. She swung her scythe for the window, shattering it. She then quickly climbed out, and down onto the ground, using the water pipes for support.

Now on the ground Jessie ran out into the pavement. Looking around she spotted two people talking. One was on a motorcycle while the other was just standing talking to the motorcyclist. Jessie suddenly threw a punch knocking the motorcyclist off his bike. She quickly stole the keys off the motorcyclists body before jumping onto the motorcycle herself. Looking at the other man she gave a soft shrug. "Sorry." Then without a second to spare she drove off.

Jessie ran into the apartment building and then after shouting at the receptionist she figured out Brad was on the ground floor. Jessie wasted no time in running for his apartment room. Once she found it she charged shoulder first into the locked door. Sure her small frame couldn't break it down but it did cause a lot of noise. "You better open the fuck up!" Jessie screamed as she suddenly swung her scythe for the door, hacking at it until her blade made it through the door.

it was quiet inside the appartment, perhaps because they were both in some sort of basement inside, sylvia's screams of pain were drowned out by the basement doors, though they were pronounced enough to be understood. "no! please, help!" jessie could faintly hear from the appartment, meanwhile inside brad was picking out a spot to stab the elf, he thrusted it in her leg as he heard the smashing on the door and left the basement. "ill be back for you, that other brat is really asking to join you..."


he picked up a gun and wandered to the door, as soon as he reached the door he threw it open and placed the barrel on jessie's head and held his finger on the trigger. "come in, now. if you want to see her that bad you can join her in her faith."

Jessie was about to pull her scythe out the door when it suddenly flung open. She swore under her breath as she was now left with nothing but a gun to her head, her scythe stuck in the door, and her old crudely made armour. She didn't even have her hat or clothe on. So instead of her normal outfit which she could use to intimidate, she was stood in mishmash of clothing that only protected her chest.

"If you laid one finger on her..." Jessie growled under her breath as she slowly made her way into the apartment with a gun pressed against her head. She held her hands up in the air just so he wouldn't shoot. She was careful with every movement she made, although inside she was trying to fight the overwhelming urge to just throw a punch at the man.

he kept the gun aimed at her head and opened the door to the basement for her before pushing her down, wich probaply made her fall down the stairs. now down in the basement, jessie could see sylvia was strapped to some sort of surgery table with a knife sticking out of her leg. "i shall not touch her with my hands again, dont you worry..." he kept jessie at gunpoint and gestured for her to go to some shackles hanging from the wall. "go over there, ill deal with you after i took care of her...."

As she got shoved down she tripped over her own feet. Twisting her body in the air she was able to fall onto her shoulder. In sluggish movement she pushed herself up, only to lay her eyes on Sylvia. With there eyes locking all her anger and hatred was suddenly replaced with worry and fear. Jessie would of said something if her words didn't fall flat. However she was instead shoved again, with a gun to her head, over to the wall.

The thing was she didn't take her eyes off Sylvia, her eyes eventually traveling down to the knife in her leg. Anger suddenly built back up in her eyes as she rolled her hand into a fist. Then as if she held a miniature candle within the middle of her fist, a low light started to escape through the cracks in her fingers. However in a rather anticlimactic event she unrolled her fingers extinguishing whatever was the cause of that light, but something was dropped from her hand, and too the keen eye they would notice it was something very similar to a small flame. What was interesting was how this flame was the fact it seemed to be truly living, and when it hit the ground it just seemed to keep on burning.

"I'd watch your feet, prick..." Jessie whispered as she slowly moved her fingers slowly, controlling the small flame. Then as she flicked her hand back, causing the flame to suddenly sprout off the ground and burn Brad's foot. After this she wasted no time in grabbing Brad's arm and twisting it back and then with one swift and brutal move she brought her elbow down on Brad's hand in an attempt to make him let go of his gun.

he secures jessie to a wall nearby to make sure she cant attack him while he ends sylvia's life, he's seemingly aware of the fact he's on fire but chooses to ignore it apparently, he aproaches sylvia with a box with a few more knifes and thrusts them in her limbs, but fortunatly for her, the fire did not die out and instead became bigger and eventually killed brad, all while apparently ignoring the fire. With brad dead sylvia was somewhat safe, she still had knives sticking out of her and was tied to a surgery table however.

Jessie had watched Brad as he continued to stab Sylvia, all the rage in her was boiling to unexplainable peaks. As he stab her she screamed out pulling on the chains, then in a turn of events the fire only grew, much like Jessie's anger. Eventually it killed him. As his lifeless body dropped to the ground she pulled on the chains once more, although she couldn't break it she did something else. With her hands heating up to unbelievable heat she was able to soften the melt and rip her wrists through them.

As she got out she wasted no time in rushing over to Sylvia, in hasty movements she pulled the blades out of her and ripped parts of her own clothing off, to use as makeshift bandages for her wounds. Then within the blink of an eye Jessie was had embraced Sylvia holding her tightly, tears rolling down her cheeks.

Jessie was scared, and her worry made her sick. For a good few minuets Jessie didn't dare let go of Sylvia in fear of something else happening. Sadly time seemed to pass all to quickly for her. 

A few days later.

After the pervious events Jessie hadn't got much sleep, Sylvia had spent the last few nights in hospital, and just that thought scared her silly. She wanted Sylvia back in the apartment, because without her everything was empty. However Jessie had came too the hospital to check in on her. Thankfully Jessie was allowed to do so.

Walking into the hospital room, her eyes laid down softly on a sleeping Sylvia. She was hooked up to machines that monitored her health. Jessie stood in the doorway as if she was afraid to go any closer. With a few deep breaths she finally entered. Wandering over to her bed Jessie placed down something on her bedside table. A bright red rose and a small card. Jessie then sat down on her bed so she could look over her partner. "You scared me you know... I don't think I've actually ever been that scared in my life. Just the thought of you leaving me kept me up at night, but the thought of seeing you getting hurt like that, that terrified me... I was afraid I was going to loose you..." Jessie said using the sleeve of her shirt to wipe away the tears. "And I don't want to loose you Flowers." Jessie said with a sad smile as she looked down at Sylvia. Jessie got up off the bed, and gave Sylvia one last look. Leaning down Jessie left a soft kiss on Sylvia's forehead before finally going up to the door. "Get well soon Sylvia..."
