Description
The Imperium's dagger as it is known,the Varanus Katar is an old weapon that was redesigned during the Great War however was rarely used by Confederate Forces.When the Imperium rose to power it once again redesigned the Katar to old standards with the new technology the Imperium began to possess.
The blade is the primary weapon of choice for Varanus assassins and elite infiltrators.It is easy to conceal,light and deadly.Almost perfect for stealth operations that require the subtle finesse the Legion lacks.Crafted by Varanus Forgemasters in the Engineering Corps these blades are hard to use without proper training.
The blades receive a burst of plasmic energy that superheats the blades much like an legionary gladius,they recieve this burst when pressing hard upon the handles where the user grips.
Inside the hilt is a chip that scrambles most basic scanners rendering the Katars invisible to most security systems.
