Heber Oakenmight: Said to be over a two-thousand years old, Heber is often regarded as the oldest member on the senior council second to Roadieth and some say he was a direct apprentice to the founder of the Council of Wizards. Despite his age and seniority even on the Senior council, Haber is often regarded as indecisive, senile, and generally not the kind of wizard you want to learn from. He specializes in a very specific branch of druidic magic which allows him to commune with, befriend, and summon woodland animals. Some say the animals follow the will of Heber, while other rumors say Haber follows the will of the animals. Either way, the two parties have been known to work with each other with perfect harmony, eventually causing a Specter investigation detailing whether or not he used a mind slave on his beasts. No one could prove he did. Many druids from across the galaxy revere his texts as the ultimate guide to Druidic and nature magic.

Anpiel: An angel powerful enough to flee her homeworld before its destruction, Anpiel traveled the galaxy in mourning until she ran into a team of Specters secretly patrolling the galaxy for signs of dark magic. They immediately brought her to the Library and introduced Anpiel to the senior council at that time. They were wary to induct such an already powerful being into the council at first, but given her natural affinity to magic and her lack of a home, Anpiel was taken in. Anpiel immediately made herself indispensable to the Council’s efforts in researching light magic and building relationships with many wizards of the council. Nearly everyone from the specters, senior council, and the council itself took a liking to her. After Merlin passed away, she was inducted to the senior council on an almost unanimous vote. However, Anpiel is finding herself increasingly stressed under the weight of the expectations of those around her in addition to the continuous feeling of emptiness without her true homeworld.

Kiirion Fenris: Second in age just behind Heber, Kiirion is recognized as the unofficial leader of the Senior Council. His influence on the council is the greatest as he is not only an expert in ice-magic and wards, but in politics as well. He holds a somewhat uptight demeanor and is naturally mistrusting towards dwarves, especially Heber and views the similarly aged wizard as a rival to his own power as is typical of all Elves. Secretly, Kiirion feels that Heber has the ability to undermine his power on the council due to the old dwarf’s seniority. Out of all the Senior Council members, Kiirion spends the most time within the library in his personal laboratory which is rumored to be a pocket dimension within a pocket dimension where Kiirion works alongside his fabled Frost familiar to further refine their mastery of ice and wards.

Mordecai Vagarian: The most adventurous of all the senior council members, Mordecai is a Lycan, a being with the ability to transform between Human and wolflike form at will. Mordecai holds great pride in his his heritage, actually preferring his wolflike form over his human one as it gives him finer access to the more primal energies of the universe. Growth magic, strength magic, any type of magic that involves invoking the pirmal feelings of nature, Mordecai is an expert of of all things emotional and adventurous. He is rarely ever seen at the library, only showing up whenever an event or important meeting is called to order. When he is at the Library, he is most often found spending time with senile, old Heber, also an expert of magic in the same general domain. Sometimes, when Mordecai thinks certain wizards have an affinity for it, he will take a number of students on an adventure to another world in order to learn to connect with the magic of their very souls.

Anna Fairchild: Finely tuned earth, wind, and golems; Anna is sometimes jokingly named the lady of the sky (though some say she started the nickname herself, in her younger years). Anna’s simple, straightforward honesty alongside her flexible policy on the learning of magic make her one of the best teachers within the entire library. She has even taken it upon herself to to work personally alongside the Librarian to teach the younger and more gifted members of the Wizard Council on the basis of magic and help them understand the purpose of the laws and their purpose to protect wizards rather than limit their true potential. After all, the darker corners of magic are a terrifying place Anna has witnessed far too many times. She has been known to create golems of herself to fool students in harmless pranks.

Roadieth: A rare breed of dragon, one born with the desire for a hoard of knowledge rather than gold and jewels. Roadieth is one of the original seven founders of the Wizard Council and the being who discovered the power of anti-magics. Armed with such a powerful device, he devised a group of specially trained wizards known as the specters and instated himself as their sole trainer and commander. Due to this immense power he wields, Roadieth has taken a step back from Senior Council matters lest the power he wields be used as an influence for the other members to take his side, prompting the ancient dragon to often be the final council member to vote on important matters, waiting even for old Heber to cast his own vote before deciding.

Justin: Mistrusted and more secluded than anyone else on the senior council, Justin is seen as the one who ‘specializes’ in the darker aspects of magic. He constantly pushes the boundaries of the law and is a known manipulator of shadows and brimstone. While there has been no evidence that Justin has actually broken any of the five laws of magic, the Specters are on a constant watch to ensure he never does. In fact, if it wasn’t for Roadieth and his insistence that Justin’s power is necessary to fight the beings from between universes, Justin would have been cast off his chair in the Magic Council and killed long ago.

Other important council members:

The Librarian: Little is known of this magical being flowing through the aisles of the Library. Some say it was a magical construct created by the founder to organize the Library’s millennia of knowledge, while others believe the Librarian to be a spirit born of sheer knowledge. Either way, the Librarian always appears as a set of wispy blue light and knows the Library itself as if it were its own body. With the help of the librarian, any aspiring wizard can find the perfect book or tool required for their studies.
