Their are two types of anam that will be referred to in this thesis. The fist is Anam, capitalized, for it is the soul of a living being. It carries within itself every emotion, though, and experience that the creature has ever had. This Anam is also the mana that flows within said creature. The second, anam, is lowercase because it refers to the soul of everything. Also known as the collective soul. It contains within it everything from everywhere. It can be found everywhere, even in the dead of space, though the an tends to clump around areas of existence and life, such as planets and starships.

Dryadic culture states that magic is the combination and pouring forth of one's Anam into the universal anam. In this process the Dryad asks for the soul of creation to follow their own soul and give it strength. It is through this that the Dryads have been able to give their Anam shape. The process is called the Munlanam.

The anam is what peers and gives force to any and all magic. As it is the soul of all things, the anam cannot be evil nor good. Thus, the Dryads believe that no magic is truly evil. Not even Necromancy or Blood magic.

However, there are acts that can be done with magic that the Dryads consider heinous and unforgivable. These acts are the purposeful and permanent changing of another's mind or memories, as it corrupts their Anam.

The Dryads are staunch believers that all types of magic should be practiced and studied. This is because all things carry an Anam and the anam of existence is in all things.

Due to the strange nature of magic and the ways in which it can be practiced, this phenomenon in which it occurs, while true universally, only truly affects those who practice magic with the use of an external Anam.

Is the Anam something that is a reference in that it controls all magic within the galaxy/universe or something only within your planet?

The Anam, capitalized is a creature's soul/inner mana.

The anam, lowercase is the soul of all things/the ambient mana of creation

The Anam does not control the anam but rather it asks it for aid.

This applies to all things and all magics.

Anam / anam cannot have the influence on all magic. There are many different Lores/ Official Lores that have separate ideas and history's with their influences. This stretches from Void Magic -> Purge Magic.

This can only effect your magic and not the entire site history of magic.

It is not that Anam/anam affects magic, it is that Anam/anam is magic. And I've already read all the lore posts on magic. So it works and fits perfectly and does not break any other types of magic.

It is analogous with looking at it frOm a different angle. Same thing, different description.

If Anam/anam is your species viewpoints on Magic, it needs to be stated. However, if you're saying it is Magic and this is its true name. You're overwriting others lore.

no, the huge issue is that it beaks site lore. Your detailed information is different based off OFFICIAL lore.

While I understand that the lore for my species/faction cannot undermine the site lore . I just wanted to point out that what Elias wrote and what I wrote mean exactly the same thing and that I just used some very fruity language in my explanation.

And anyways it's just the Dryad's belief on the subject. It does not need to affect anyone else's magic, or the site's magic for that matter.

So, with discussing this with another Staff member. If this is how your species uses magic and uses their soul as a medium when using magic. You understand that this ONLY effects your species and no one else, this should be ok.

Oh....well, if someone from another species wants to undergo the Munlanam then they too would use magic in the same way.

But other than that, ya it should be fine. And just so we are both on the same page, this is still a WIP.
