Olivia tried to keep the water contained to a small location but there was just far too much of it. Jantha was her first awoken that she had encountered and she was fascinated by his inability to tolerate wind or water. The degree of difficulty that it must bring to his life was staggerng. Such mundane things like drinking, bathing, or even stepping foot outside could be massive challenges. It put her life in perspective or so she thought.
So what are you doing to help him?The ever present voice of her deity Glispa leading, guiding, shaping her life. It was a blessing most times but every so often it could feel like a curse.
He cannot last in this place like this. Find somewhere safe from the wind and rain."Any luck Olivia?"
Olivia turned to Jantha with a sigh, "The island is pretty barren I'm afraid. I couldn't see much of anything in the pouring rain anyhow. With the ship underwater our supplies are gone. Aside from those we took with us."
The priestess eyed the red tinged bow and the empty quiver wondering why he'd brought a quiver without arrows. The whip he had with him was slightly more understandable although the mere sight of it brought chills up and down her spine. She had spent the first few years of her life a slave and had seen what whips did to men, women and children. She had seen first hand the horrible task masters who cracked the whips indiscriminately.
You're nobody's slave now my child. Now, help him."Can't find any creatures out there braving the rain but maybe I'll find some fruit it's worth a try, right?" Olivia didn't wait for an answer. She swung the door open and went back out into the rain closing the door behind her.
