Name: Turians
Homeplanet: Palaven
Sentience: Sentient
Strengths
Due to their militaristic culture, Turians excel in battle and war. They are trained since birth to fight for and defend themselves, their people and those in need. All Turians are trained from birth either as a diplomat or warrior, meaning the vast majority of the race are skilled with most weapons and ships that they could find themselves using.
Weaknesses
Turians have a natural affinity to be on the front lines in battle and as such, are not really trained in the art of espionage and stealth. This means that on the rare occasions that a Turian goes behind enemy lines, many often struggle massively. Turian scouts tend to have the highest death count because of this.
Appearance
Turians are very similar to Humans, though they are taller, only have two fingers and a thumb, and have two long toes on each foot. Their average height is around 6'5 due to curved spikes protruding along the top of their heads, making them not much taller than your average Human. Turians also have skin that can vary from light to dark grey and usually have distinct tattoos marking the clan that they originate from.
Culture
The Turians value honour and loyalty over everything else possible. Rather than follow a religion, they follow each other, always willing to fight in defence of one of their own. Once divided by clan rivalries and warfare, the Turians are now a race united in arms against whatever threats may come their way. In the eyes of a Turian, the needs of the many truly do outweigh the needs of the few.
History
Much of Turian history has been lost throughout the ages. Before becoming a spacefaring species, all that's known about the Turians is that they spent generations at war with themselves, fuelled by stubborn pride and rivalries between the many different factions and clans that dotted the landscapes of Palaven. It wasn't until a forgotten hero proposed the creation of a ruling council comprised of chiefs from all the different clans that the various groups put aside their differences to focus on creating a better society for their children.
