StrengthsThe Anti-Magic Medium does exactly what the name suggests: It acts as a medium through which the Specters can cast their signature anti-magic. With enough magical energy and focus channeled through the medium, a specter can unravel virtually any magic. Each medium has been tailored specifically to it’s respective Specter, so no one other than the item’s owner can use it.
WeaknessesEven with a medium, Anti-magic requires a relatively long and uninterrupted focus on analyzing an enemy spellcaster’s magical frequency in order to prepare the magic for use. Additionally, if the Specter cannot summon an equal amount of magical energy to unravel the enemy spellcaster’s magic, Anti-magic will not work. This can be counteracted by having multiple specters work together to cast Anti-magic, but the process takes longer and Specters rarely work in teams of greater than three.
DescriptionAnti-Magic is perhaps the pinnacle of Roadieth’s achievements. A magical formula that has the potential to unravel any magic it meets. If you were to talk to Roadieth himself, the Dragon would claim that Anti-Magic is inefficient as it requires and equal or greater amount of magic to unravel another’s spell and still needs lots of work before perfection. Despite his statement, Roadieth has gone about personally creating mediums for Anti-Magic and training specters in their use as a primary ability for countering especially powerful enemy spellcasters. Each Medium takes a different form for each specter, but the most common appear to be amulets or swords related to a Specter’s birthworld or important childhood memories before joining up with the Council.
