Description
With a maximum crew size of 2500 passengers {including the crew of 145} the Ma'Gel light cruiser is built for transportation rather then for direct combat.It's mostly used to carry legions across the stars it's other common uses include surveying planetary bodies,carrying vital cargo,acting as a carrier for large amounts of dropships or fighters and also patrolling Imperial space.
It's weaknesses however is limited to 2 things,firstly the ship has limited offensive capability due to it's non-combat focused design.Secondly lies in it's reliance on it's impact shielding.While powerful Impact shielding is vulnerable to close range bombers whose payloads fall at a speed relatively slower then the shield is set to block.It's armour is not as reinforced as frontline warships,thus a deadly bombing run could spell doom for the cruiser.
The ship carries a standard FTL drive allowing the ship to cross the vast distances of space in a short time with an cooldown period.
