September: Excitement is in Prometheus' air. September is a very special month for the inhabitants, for it is the year of the great tradition: The Olat Festival. In this festival is like Earth's Thanksgiving, but it lasts for a week, and instead of football, there is duels, Not to the death of course. After a long day of tournament duels the contestants and others will sit down at a large table and have a feast. When the next day comes around they will repeat this and continue doing so until September moves into November, the first day of November is known as Conclusion of Olat. During Olat, all warriors from around Prometheus will conspire at one place. The most used rendezvous place is always Mavire for over 200 years Mavire has hosted the Olat, and this year won't be any different, or will it?

         "Greetings one and all, boys and girls, Warriors and Peasants! Welcome to the annual 464th Olat Festival!" Cheers echoed throughout the Mavire main square Warriors and Peasants of all sizes lined the crowd, a few especially tall knights, such as Jeremiah, stuck out, his weapon had been taken at the Main Mavire entrance for safety reasons. Eden sat on a balcony of one of the taller houses. His legs dangled off the edge as he watched the announcer and the crowd. It had been a month since he saw Mei, he tried to move on form it but he couldn't get the thought of her out of his head. Eden sighed and decided to join Jeremiah. Eden expertly climbed down the red stone wall of the building, red was the usual color for all the houses near Mavire Square. Eden began walking through the crowd of people, it was mostly chaos, but they were having fun, and were happy. Soon Eden ran into Jeremiah.

"Eden!"
"Jeremy!" The was Eden's nickname for Jeremiah.
"How are you brother?"
"I am good, glad to be at this festival."
"Ah yes, the Olat Festival."
"Well, 'He' hasn't showed up yet." Eden said referring to Jerra.
Jeremiah sighed "Yes." around them the festival raved, the duels had already begun and Eden was getting anxious. After the day of their parents murder, Jeremiah felt a strong hate towards Jerra, he wanted to ignore the hate, but he was still somewhat human. Eden bringing up their malevolent brother made Jeremiah's spirit drop a bit, but he was hell-bent on not letting it ruin the first night of the Olat Festival.

The world of Prometheus,currently inhabited by the mammalians who call themselves humans.They had an interesting culture despite being a "backwater world" technologically.

They were holding an festival of sorts and gathered far and wide to one of the few functioning cities the Imperium could recognize from their long range scanners.Lord-General Nikar decided it would be best to send an emissary to engage in diplomacy with the inhabitants.Out of the 40 candidates chosen only Kaiyan would go,he alone had more experience dealing with Zodarrin then most of the legionaries.He was given an thermal chestplate alongside robes that hid his armour alongside an hood he could pull over his horned head and given an gladius to protect himself.The Lord-General did not want to startle the inhabitants with advanced technologies that are beyond their understanding.

Kaiyan was thrust into an dropship that took him to the planet's surface landing in isolated plains an few kilometers away from Mavire.Kaiyan took his first steps on the planet quickly adjusting to it's gravity then headed towards the stone spires of the city of Mavire in the distance his tail swinging from side to side.

The festivities were too outrageous for anyone to notice the drop ship. At the center of Mavire Square, there were two armored knights dueling, one had a great sword and the other two smaller swords. Everyone, of course, was routing for the big guy. Apart from Eden and a few others who where routing for the smaller, more agile knight. Jeremiah walked up to Eden and put a hand on his shoulder. "Who are you routing for brother?" he had a goblet of ale in his hand, and his helmet was off, a rare sight indeed. Eden replied cool, but a bit brighter then usual "I'm routing for Illak." Jeremiah almost spit out the mouthful of ale he was drinking laughing. "You must be mad!" he said slapping his brother's back. "Samuel will destroy him! I mean look at the size of him!" Eden paused for a little bit "Never judge a book by it's cover Jeremiah." Eden was focused on the duel, his eyes following every movement of Illak's blades. "Has Jerra reared his head yet?" Jeremiah looked at Eden and said "Not yet, you'll probably know when he arrives."
"You're probably right." Eden replied.


Illak wasn't doing too well in the ring, he had taken two large blows to his armor and was beginning to make rookie mistakes. Samuel swung his dull Dueling sword (since killing isn't allowed) and Illak dodged it sluggishly, his left arm took the hit. Illak breathed heavily as he inspected his dented dueling armor. "This fight isn't going in my favor.." he thought to himself. Soon he was lost in thought and didn't notice Samuel. BANG! Illak went flying out of the ring his helmet flying off in the process. Illak landed with a earthy thud. Two knights helped him to his feet and moved him to a tent with a red cross on it. Eden cursed under his breath and decided to walk up and challenge Samuel. Jeremiah laughed heartily and said "Thats what you get Eden!" he stopped and looked around "Eden?"

Kaiyan reached the gates of the city and already some of the inhabitants took notices,they had confused and disgusted faces something Kaiyan had gotten used to.His red and black robes fluttered in the wind as his armour silently creaked with each step into the city.He kept one clawed hand on the pommel of his gladius in-case any of the locals wanted trouble.It seemed that most of the locals gathered near the square situated in what seemed to be the middle of the large city.Many of the people cheered as they watched two warriors clad in armour engaging in mock-duels.The excitement was so intense that even the people standing next to Kaiyan did not seem to notice his presence.

"What is this?" Kaiyan whispered to himself.He took amusement watching these steel clad warriors fight each-other with dull blades.It reminded him of his younger days as a recruit in the Legion where he too would engage in mock-duels using wooden swords.He took interest as another warrior entered the ring.He placed a claw on his chin and watched the knights fight.

Eden walked in, he was already clad in the bland grey dueling armor. Eden had chosen a one handed long sword, it was dull, per regulations. Samuel stared directly at Eden, quickly he charged. Eden quickly dodged and forcefully hit Samuel on his left leg causing him to trip, face plant, and skid a bit. Samuel finally got up and yelled loudly "YOU'RE DEAD!!" Eden replied "tsk, tsk, tsk, you really need to get a hold of that temper." Samuel didn't reply but clearly got more enraged. He charged again this time headed straight towards Eden with the point of his blade headed straight for him, this was against regulations.

Samuel almost hit Eden, but he dodged at the last second, but it wasn't fast enough, a stinging pain shot through Eden. Samuel had grazed him, Eden stumbled unable to regain balance. With Eden's poise broke Samuel quickly swung at him, hitting him in the right side of his chest, the sickening sound of the fragile iron dueling armor crunching filled Eden's ears. Eden quickly stabbed Samuel three times forcefully. Samuel doubled over in pain for a second, enough time for Eden to hit Samuel's Helmet, knocking it off. A sudden fear crept over Eden. "This.. This is Samuel of Desolate Lands.." he thought to himself. "But, he can't be.." Eden said quietly.

The knight branded an dull longsword,Kaiyan could sense the tension between the two and watched in awe as the previous victor charged towards the new contender.The tall knight was outmaneuvered by his much smaller quarry who dodged his bull charge and swiped him off his feet into the dusty plaza stones.Kaiyan couldn't help but hiss an cheer as the smaller knight faced this giant.The tall knight seemed enraged by his foe and charged grazing him and sending him off balance.The crowd gasped as the tall giant swung his sword hard against the side of his chest.Then the knight seemingly regained his vigor and started stabbing the giant then knocking his helmet off.

The crowd went silent as the two knights stood in an death stare and Kaiyan moved his head to see over the shoulders of the mass.With a toothy grin he couldn't help himself but to watch the fight with awe."It might not be nearly as prestigious as the arena but it had it's own...charm." he thought watching Eden and Samuel.

A month had passed and Mei was doing the same as usual, hiding away in the shadows. When she heard of the 'Olat Festival' she was quite interested. When she went around and eavesdropped on more people's conversations she learned that it was taking place in Prometheus. She had a flashback suddenly, she remembered Kyoko and Eden all standing there with her, tense but somewhat calmly. As she snapped out of it she sighed. She knew that Eden was most likely there and after she rudely ditched them she felt ashamed. She didn't have the fear of hurting people accidently anymore because she mastered the ability to fully control the chains bound to her so she felt somewhat relieved. She finally decided she would go to this place but try to stay out of the 'spotlight'.

Once she arrived there was a huge crowd. She would stick out so much within it so she threw a long brown cape and hood on. As she made her way through the crowd she heard clangs and bangs of dull swords hitting and yelling. Once she could see clearly she recognized Eden right away. She watched as the two guys fought each other, amused. She wondered how this turn of events would work out.

Eden stared at Samuel's face, he was frozen in fear but soon snapped out of it. But it was too late, Samuel hit Eden in the shoulder, the force of the blow tearing through the fragile armor and cutting Eden badly. Eden winced a bit, blood spilling out onto the dusty arena. Samuel smiled eerily at the sight of Eden's blood and then moved to the opposite end of the arena preparing for a charge. Samuel then charged, Eden, prepared this time quickly rolls out of the way and hit Samuel's right arm and he heard a crack, he had dislocated the giant's shoulder and with another swing hit Samuel's leg, causing him to kneel. Eden said in a Enraged voice "YOU WILL NEVER SEE THE LIGHT OF DAY MONSTER!" Eden then quickly hit the back of Samuel's head knocking him out cold.

The crowd was shocked and so was the Announcer, "WOAH! whats this!? Eden Walker of Sun and Rose has come out on top! he doesn't look too good though! some one get him some Ice!" The people of Prometheus used ice magic very often in the Olat Festival, for obvious reasons. Eden knelled down onto the ground, his shoulder bleeding badly. The only thing keeping him up was the fragile blade in his hand. SNAP! the blade snapped because if the damage it had sustained, and Eden fell to the ground with a thud. The crowd gasped at the sight of Eden on the ground. Several Vanguard Bishops marched in, the crowd parting before them. The bishops looked cool and dark, contrast to the bright festive look of the Square, The Disciples of the Undead. They walked over to Samuel and in a deathly serious voice they both said, "Samuel, of Desolate Lands, you have broken your Exile and therefore you will be punished for all of your transgressions towards the Church of the Undead." Samuel quickly bolted awake, his face of pure fear.
"W-What? NO!"
"Your crimes include; Murders of Innocent lives, Use of plague magic against innocent lives, the use of curse magic to innocent lives, the brutal murder of the innocent King Domenic of Omen, and the uncalled for destruction of the innocent Omen Kingdom. For your crimes, we punish you by banishing you to the Shadow Realm of Karen, in the forsaken ring of Saretha." Samuel didn't say anything, the only sound he could make was a squeak. Then the Bishops raised their Gothic style staffs and in an instant Samuel was gone..

Kaiyan did not understand most of it,but he knew that this giant's face was an surprise to his quarry,they fought for bit before the smaller warrior roared "YOU WILL NEVER SEE THE LIGHT OF DAY MONSTER!". Kaiyan merely observed as Eden incapacitated Samuel.

The crowd gasped in shock as the smaller knight was crowned victor.On the other end of the crowd appeared several other knights bearing strange but elegant staffs.These bishops spoke but Kaiyan couldn't hear over the whispers and hushed conversations of the crowd.The bishops then raised their staffs and as it hit the stones upon the ground,Samuel vanished.

This immediately grabbed the agent's attention as he looked around the crowd for any signs of the giant. "How is this possible?" he thought.He then began to walk away from the crowd looking for an isolated spot to watch the festival.He was able to climb to an raised platform and watched as people tended to Eden.

Mei was shocked at this duel, Eden was small compared to the other guy and she could tell this battle was intense. She marveled at their strength but was still worried about the outcomes. As she watched she was mortified as Eden was wounded badly on his arm. She was majorly confused what was happening but concluded it was important. As the bishops approached the man and declared that he was a criminal among us, her jaw almost dropped. Her eyes widened as they made him disappear out of thin air. After that, she couldn't hear anything due to the shocked voices and whispers among the crowd. All she could do was wait and see what happened and hope that Eden was alright.

 Olat Festival October!: INTRO: After the end of the first month, feasts begin after every day. The Olat Festival lasts until November until then, the feasts and duels carry on! (sorry bout' the big jump September went quick) Now, a month after the duel with Samuel of Desolate Lands, the still injured Eden and Jeremiah witness a knight by the name of Oleean duel, he has a build like Samuel and Jerra, but has an aura of holy magic. Eden and Jeremiah have never seen the knight and are curios to his intentions.

POST: After the battle with Samuel, Eden was treated and told not to duel anymore for the rest of the festival. He mostly followed these instructions but that was before he saw Oleen. His Armour gleamed brilliantly in the blue Promethean sun, it made Eden giddy at the sight of this knight, even more so when he felt his aura. Jeremiah put a hand on Eden's shoulder and said to him "I hope your not thinking what i think you are, that's on of the Holy Queen's Knights. and with that injury, he'll surely kill you." Eden gasped at the sound of 'Holy Queen's Knight' this made him more eager to duel him in competition. But even in his present state he knew he could not fight again this Olat Festival. He looked up at Jeremiah, and asked in a warm tone which was uncanny for the walker of rose. Eden asked "would you mind dueling him for me, i'll give you a reward for winning." Jeremiah laughed warmly and replied
"why not, its the least I could do for my little brother." Eden patted Jeremiah on the shoulder,
"Thanks Jeremy." Jeremiah smiled and walked to the arena. [END]
