| One’s position in Dragonborn society is mainly based off of their heritage. Different types of Dragonborn hold position in the society around them depending on their scale color. Below is information regarding each Dragonborn subspecies and at which place they are in society. Red and Gold These Dragonborn are the nobles of the society, presiding over their lands. Because of this, they are possibly the rarest to find. They typically build their homes in arid climates or near volcanoes, as they are immune to and feel most comfortable around heat. Black and Copper These are the working class; the ones who do the manual labor. They are the most common ones, which quite possibly is why they were chosen for their place in society. These Dragonborn build their homes in large cities, as they feel most comfortable near the acids produced in the process of production, and are completely unaffected by them. Blue and Bronze Blue and Bronze Dragonborn are the scholars in society, studying tomes and history as well as designing blueprints and designs for new inventions. They have a large capacity for creativity, and are uncommon to find. They live in plains, as they like wide open spaces and the beauty of the sky.Sometimes, they also will live on areas with high elevation as well, as they are immune to any and all lightning that may come as a hazard in those areas. Green and Brass These are the religious leaders of the Dragonborn, spending time healing others and trying to find more information on where their race comes from. They are not as common as Black and Copper Dragonborn, but are still not a rare sight. They like to build their homes in bayous and swamps, as they feel more spirituality emanating from them and enjoy the communion of nature there, as well as their being immune to the poisonous substances there. White and Silver Finally, White and Silver Dragonborn make up the warrior caste, whether it be invading others or defending against said invaders. These are about as common as Green and Brass Dragonborn, and are treated with even more respect. They like to live in mountainous areas, or the areas to the far north and south, as they are immune to the cold, and enjoy the beauty they find in the snow. Chromats vs. Metallics There are two different groups of dragonborn, the Chromats (Red, Black, Green, Blue, and White), and the Metallics (Gold, Copper, Bronze, Brass, and Silver). Their differences vary from Dragonborn to Dragonborn, but there is one main difference: Chromats tend to act evilly, while Metallics lean toward a good nature. As such they don’t famously get along well. However, very few wars have been fought between the two groups, and that is because of the similarity in their values of life. They believe all life is sacred, and only should be taken if it is to better the world. However, Metallics and Chromats have different understandings on this philosophy. Metallics think that this means that one should sacrifice oneself for the sake of others, while Chromats believe that it entails that every person should better their own life. |
