[ooc: warning, this thread will most likely contain lame puns and low brow burns, do not enter this thread if you do not like deadpool kind of humor]

somewhere in a modern if shady tavern. the drinks were cheap and here people would leave you the fuck alone if you had a gun. though that wouldnt be the case today. there were two fully armored and armed men waiting outside the bar, chucking bad jokes and looking around for a specific person. both of them were tall, though of the two the knight in the white armor was just a bit taller than the one in red armor. neither of them had guns but they did have swords, one of them had a shield and the other one simply had a second short sword. they were apparently waiting for a specific person to enter the bar, much like a mark.

Mox Larrs had slowly begun to make a name for himself. He is known to be part of Mors Diaboli and for the work he has done. He had made his way towards the bar and noticed two obvious mercenaries or hitmen standing outside the bar. "Buddies, you're too obvious." he said as he walked by them. He had no idea who they were for but standing legit outside the bar, gave away the fact that they were waiting for someone. Even more so when only scum hang out here.

He made his way to the farthest table and sat down. Taking out a hologram pad and began to look at the available contracts.

blaze and tower chuckled at the comment of them being obvious. "come on blaze, isnt stealth kind of your thing after our elf?" after that they waited several seconds before entering the bar and sat down right next to mox, seemingly oblivious to his presence as they start sharing 'funny' stuff on their computer wrists, though after they turn off their phones it very much became obvious that they were that special kind of asshole that could still be liked, with a certain sense of humour equiped.

soon enough the one in red armor leaned over to see what's on mox's screen. "looking at gay tentacle porn there?" "nah dude obviously in here that would be a dating site, the porn is for when he goes to the restroom." both seemed amused by their own commentry, but with the first impression they left, it was too be expected of these two.

Alice eyed the two knights outside the dingy bar. Their armor looked tough enough, but it wasn't anything a few well placed bullets and a bit of speed couldn't take down. Swords were a huge disadvantage in the right setting, though a could prove useful in a barfight. Alice pretended to sip on a beer from the bar area to add to her unassuming disguise, making sure to null the effects of alcohol and it's disgusting taste.

There were a handful of other notable individuals. One was an alien cybernetic, Mox Larrs. After a quick search through her mental databanks, Alice found several rumors that the man was a Nypherian defector and a playboy of sorts as well as a member of some kind of Mercenary team. Two poor things to be despite his nearly one-hundred percent success rate. Alice could always mute Mox if he ever became too distracting. It appeared that Mox made a comment to the knights that irritated them. She watched from across the pub as events unfolded. Her hearing tuned in specifically to their already easily audible conversation.

Mox Larrs more or less ignored the two. He had a lot on his mind. There were many contract offers at the moment. He had been curious as to which he should choose from. His serious side came out as the thought of money on the line, always made him serious. Flipping through the contacts, his personal network connected to the pad and filtering through his ship. There were four possibilities in choosing his next target. While the two talked to him and tried to get a reaction, he ignored them.

Mox Larrs then sent a message out to other members of the group. There were four possibilities and each had a huge payout and possibly a huge reputation bonus to go along with it. Mox Larrs looked up from his pad and glanced at the woman that had been eyeing him. Mox wasn't in the mood  to talk her. Though, she is obviously cybernetic and the look of her made her stand out. Placing his pad away and jumping over the table, completely ignoring the two clowns. He walked over to her, "May I?" he asked as he sat down. "Not here for flattery or trouble. I am here for business. Care to here what I have to say?"

the two grinned at mox leaving, of course they werent done yet. it took a special kind of annoying to be considered the two biggest assholes on jeslore. but for now they would have to loosen up, theirmission wasnt to kill but they were specifically instructed to be nuisances, tower overheard something of contracts, so perhaps they could follow them and ruin the contract for them.

It appeared that Mox was more effective than Alice had initially thought. She instantly regretted eyeing the conversation from afar as the robot approached Alice's place at the bar. She placed her half empty pint of beer on the counter as Mox sat down. He asked for permission and sat down without waiting for a response. Still, Mox didn't immediately try to give a suggestive statement as most beings approaching Alice at a bar would do. She was fairly good at shooting those down anyway; whether it be a few words or a sudden knife to their throats.

"Business," Alice mused in response. She scooted away to put some distance between the two. "I'll hear you out so long as it is not suggestive."

"What? Me? Nonsense! Before we get down to business. I want to ask you a question. Within this bar, what do you see? Before you answer, I am not talking about the Plunkers over there who decided to sit next to me and open the conversation with porn." He said pointed back towards his original seat. Truth be told, he heard everything they said, but choose not to respond. Sure, a battle of words would be fun. However, opening the conversation with a stupid comment, when he could see exactly what he was looking at. Sure, he could have so much fun hitting on the girl in front of him, but he is more interested if his feeling about her is correct.

tower and blaze of course follow mox to the bar, each splitting up and sitting on each side of him, though it was not really tasked, they would have to be annoying to alice too, very soon they were acting familiar once more as they picked up they were discussing bussiness. "SO!, what are we up to fellas? we're getting paid speciffically to stick around with you buddy, someone real pissed off told us to so get used to our presence bud."

Mox continued with his rant about 'business' and asked Alice what she saw in the bar. In all honesty, the place wasn't much. A low, dimly lit thatch ceiling, dirt caked oaken floors, and roughly carved wooden tables. The only two things that actual money appeared to be put into were the glasses and bar, which were made of glass and polished oak respectively. They were perhaps reminiscent of better times, but that didn't change the watered down beer they carried.

As for the people themselves, they were mostly peasants. Poor peasants drinking watered down booze. Even better since there's no way they knew the difference, the only two people that really stood out were the red and blue knights. Alice clearly heard the clanks of metal and the thumps of their boots on the floor as they approached with more distasteful humor. 

"You two are pathetic mercenaries," Alice replied with disgust, "You broadcast your presence and, more importantly, you are far too confident in the talents you believe you have." Alice leaned on the bar, one elbow supporting her weight on the bar itself with another hanging off to her side as she faced the two knights and Mox.

Mox Larrs waited for the girl’s response but his thoughts were cut. The people who he had ignored came over. He watched them as they came over, what did they want? Never met someone who started a conversation with the topic of “porn”. Tasteless in his opinion, though it really doesn’t matter to him. He glanced at the two who came over and watched them sit down. He leaned back and listened to what they had to say. Soon, it is obvious someone along the line of work he had pissed off sent “tools” to do their deeds. What didn’t make sense is what they were instructed to do, bug him? Very little annoyed him in the sense of verbal conflict.

“So, you’re tools. You’re here because whoever I annoyed down the line of work. Sent you over, to annoy me. It’s either they don’t respect you as people or they don’t think you can do the heavy work. Let me guess, you’re either grunts or dead weight.”

they looked at eachother and started chuckling, mox was correct about alot, but wrong about other things. "close. but not yet a cigar. we have been sent over by someone who is absolutely pissed off at you, but cant leave 'her' work laying down in arcanium. but you were wrong about our ranks. im the leader and this guy is the co-fonuder. we figured we'd help our edgelord friend out and bug you for a minute." "though for a leader, tower can be a deadweight, but not as much as our ranger's big ass beasts. as for you girl, a real warrior makes himself present and faces his danger head on. or is it just knights and samurai that do that?"

Alice could barely bother herself to fully observe the two heavily armored "comedians" who had chosen to disturb business. Loathe as Alice was to say it, she much preferred the company of the somewhat infamous Mox Larrs over a couple of dead weight knights. A slight smirk whispered across Alice's lips at Larrs' comment.

"If this 'someone' you speak of is truly as unbelievably pissed as you claim, then it must have paid you to kill Mox Larrs." Alice responded flatly, "Not to mention one who readily insults their teammates behind their back is nothing of your storybook version of a real warrior." Somewhere deep inside Alice, she was tempted to put air quotes around the words 'real warrior', though she held back and kept her hands prepared on her thighs for any sudden movements from the knights.
