The space above the planet began to twist and warp. Thousands of Nypherian ships broke warp over the planet. The leading Officer, Captain Aersilix, stood within the command deck of the new ship. She looked over the planet before her. She narrowed her eyes in disgust. “All forces, begin Operations. Have all plans move forward and begin landing ground troops! I want this planet by the end of the month.” She demanded. Everyone began operations as frigates and fighters had poured out of the ships. The Frigates had begun providing support to the larger cruisers and the fighters split in half. One group stayed with the ships and the rest flew down towards the planet. The ground force also began their operations as Grand General Jim Vaknor is leading the charge.
               
           Within the cruisers that held the ground forces. All hands were “on deck” as Cybernetics and Warrant Officers ran to their designated ships. The Nypherians all began to turn on and moved to their stations. Like a black cloud, the ground forces made their way towards the planet. Lieutenant General Savarax opened channels,” Listen up! This is our revenge. We will pay them back for spilling the blood of innocent on Chyke. We have our orders and we will follow them to the letter. I will be transferring all directives that we will following to your squad leaders!” the coms channels went off.

Mission Objectives:
1.       1. Landing on many points on the planet. Create many beachheads.
2.       2. Construct those beachheads into FOB’s
3.       3. Push into enemy territory / cut off supply routes
4.       4. Use Artillery and Walker Support when pushing deeper into Enemy Territory
5.      5. Find Lana, we must have her ALIVE
6.       6. Once planet is taken, move to the next
7.       Kill all Shadow Species, wipe them out, all of them

Zanya turned towards the mess of twenty or so warrant officers and Nypherian cybernetics standing in front of her in one of the Assault Cruiser's massive landing bays. She stood atop the dark, shiny metal of an AU93 Infantry Carrier with her arms crossed and her face set in stone.

"Listen up," She called with the authority only one of military rank can muster, "Today is the day we finally purge this 'Darkness' who dared attacked our planets." The sound of approval rippled throughout the crowd. "Expect this to be a long and difficult battle. Many of you will die, but it is for the greater cause of glorifying the Nypherian Empire!" Zanya gave a formal salute to the officers and cybernetics under her command, to which they replied with their own. She gave a quick hand signal to order everyone to load up in the dropships and prepare for launch.

Now Zanya stood in one of a dozen dropships headed for a southern beachhead on the edge of a mountain range. The mountains would guard their backs and provide an excellent location for field high command and long range fire support. She noted the silence in the cabin and the smooth rumble of the dropships entering the atmosphere, Zanya took the oppurtunity to double check her sniper rifle and paired pistols. Not even an officer could be too careful, even though there would be a wave of Ravager Tanks directly ahead of them.

The ship's computer spoke up, "Landing in T minus ten seconds," The computer stated in a soothing monotone.

Norma Prime had once been a gigantic city of vice and greed, housing criminals and gamblers from all over the galaxy under the Norma Cartel's protection. That protection however was no match for Zalgo's return. In a mere day the city became rusted and deformed, and it's inhabitants were turned into husks of their former selves. Now they roamed the streets as black figures crumbling ever so slowly in constant torment. Their only thoughts of madness and chaos. Zalgo had turned this land into one of nightmares.

Now as strangers approached from the sky they looked up from their roaming, interested enough to ease their madness for a moment. They were almost thinking of something other than chaos...
Until Lana appeared in a mass of shadows upon the tallest tower of the city. In her hands swirled dark energy that soon exploded out across the whole area, shaking the very ground and structures whilst also empowering those rambling husks with a haunting shine.

To add to these figures came portals of shadow, releasing from them larger beings also made of pure darkness. These pulsating in changing substance, able to be as small or large as they required. 

With a twirl of fingers Lana made more structures out of shadow, large cannons atop the buildings that began firing dark blue energy up at the incoming ships. Their rapid barrage did not stop when she turned her attention to the ground, weaving up creations of walls and tank-like machines to cut off main roads in the city.

Finally to protect herself rose a large shield of swirling black mist, encompassing the tower until it could not be seen at all.

The Darkness was ready.

The ships flew down towards the planets and began to take flak. The rounds exploding all around the landing ships. Zanya and her group began to feel the power of the explosions as they shook her ship. A few took direct hits from the flak and exploded on contact. The explosions sent shards of metal in every direction. This time the Nypherians could shoot down at Lana. They didn’t have to worry about civilians. One of the large Assault Cruiser MC 3B10, tilted in an angle as it locked onto Lana’s magical signature. The rail guns on the ship locked onto her and fired. The massive bolts of energy shot towards her. Even if they missed or they were blocked. The explosion itself would cause enough damage to the area.
             

  As Zanya had landed and her crew ran out towards the frontline. Tanks and other Nyhperian soldiers had been on the ground. The beach front had been formed and what it seemed like an endless number of tanks that were being dropped onto the ground. Dropships landed tanks ranging from the Ravager to the Nypherian Behemoth. The frontline has been made on all beach fronts. It slowly turned into a standoff. The Nypherians began to build trenches and Missile / Artillery began to landed. They shortly were set up and began firing missiles / rockets upon enemy frontlines.

Upon the ground, Lieutenant Colonel Heross and Colonel Abilix had shown on the battle. “Send all information to the ground forces. We push slowly and kill all natives on the ground. There shall be no survivors. This is a Scorch Earth Tactic. Firestorm tanks will be supporting you soon and Walkers will be incoming. “ she said to her Warrant Officers and they sent out the message to the beachfronts all over the planet. Lieutenant Colonel Heross jumped on a Ravager tank and moved out with the next wave. The lines of smoke from the Artillery and the sound of the frontline combat. He looked up at the skyat the ships and wondered what Jim Vaknor had planned.

The battlefield was nearly chaos when Zanya finally landed behind a line of Firestorm and Ravager tanks. The Warrant Officer quickly mounted up in an already deployed APC to give out commands. She spread out the warrant officers among the ranks of cybernetics to give them a better opportunity to send orders and make sure not all of them died in one cannon blast. Cybernetics could easily insert themselves into a new body. Alien officers couldn't. 

Advancement went easily for the first few moments until Zanya saw hundreds of shadows simply appearing out of thin air. Cannons, tanks, anti air guns, all the jazz it took to fight off an army, and it was all centered around a single massive building in the middle of the city. Zanya immediately zeroed in on that building as their target.

"All Nypherians, advance towards and surround the tallest scyscraper," Zanya ordered, "The one with the ominous black blob on top of it." She silently watched as the tanks and troops advanced, slowly starting to push through a rusty city filled with shadows.

Lana stood unwavering in her shield atop the tower, simply watching parts of the city fall around her. The planet was already in ruin, did they really think the servants of Zalgo would care if more metal was torn apart? They welcomed the destruction. Luckily for the Nypherians Zalgo himself could not come to destroy them, but The Entity still lived within Lana. At normal strength it managed to kill the great Kittiana Youngblood, but now she would unleash it stronger than it had even been seen before. Her preparations involved dark chanting of an ancient tongue which echoed through the city.

Meanwhile on the ground there were other necromancers warping in, taking their charge as masters of the shadows around them. They had heeded the call of Zalgo and stood ready to command the forces of Darkness.

The Nypherians had been monitoring Lana. They had become aware of her shield and the fact that she wanted to hide behind it. Being realistic, it benefits them to a certain degree. They switched their plan on how to deal with her. Testing to see how long her magic would last and how powerful the shield is. They began to grab readings of her shields and large sections of the fleet now began to focus on her and fire. They could care less if the city or anyone around it had fallen. Their mission is to wipe the planet clean of “filth”. On the ground, front lines had been made, and new forces had begun to land. The Nypherian Monolith had finally been built and began to move towards the meeting point. Upon that Monolith, Grand General Jim Vaknor, watched the world map. The Nypherians have complete control of the sky and have air dominance.

With Grand Admiral Gordon Malik preforming bomber and fighter sweeps on any newly summoned creatures within Lana’s range. They moved forward. “Sir, all fronts are advancing and reports coming in from Saskarth. They have begun to build and a new armada has begun to form. Other reports are coming in that show three Asmodian Armadas have also been spotted in the outskirts of the Galaxy.” Jim Vaknor nodded his head to the Warrant Officer relaying information towards him. Indeed, the possibility of a two-front war is not something he wanted to do or deal with. He, however, believed in the Navy and knew they could hold them off long enough. He glanced at the 3D map and noticed the fleet were now focusing, Lana.
“Men, I want all P3554A Plasmyr and MB5443 Silhouette’s to focus fire on Lana. Everyone else is tasked with obliteration routines. We are on the offensive and it seems the enemy wants us to be. They underestimate us and we will see how long one magic user can survive being focused by a fleet and energy based tanks. Units, keep moving forward.”

Simply put, the invasion of Norma Prime was going far better than she had expected. The Nypherian army steadily steamrolled over the shadows attempting to fend of attackers. Shadows dissipated with each pulse of her rifle. The quiet pulses and thumps of Nypherian gunfire echoed throughout the battlefield. Enemy fire grew thicker as the Nypherians approached the center of the city. Zanya's squadron reached wide intersection with a road straight to the central tower. Scyscrapers towered over the army on each side. The road ahead was thick with shadows.

"We advance to the tower and detonate it's foundations," Zanya ordered. Her statement was quickly relayed to all nearby troops, who shifted their focus towards the central tower. A shadow bolt pinged off Zanya's shoulder as she jumped out of her APC and drew her dual pistols and began advancing with the cybernetic soldiers ahead of their squadron of ravager tanks. The thick shadow bolts flying through the air had begun wearing down on the cybernetics' armor. "We need walker and Artillery support to cover our advance to the central tower." Zanya spoke. The order was relayed to the command posts in the mountains. With any luck, the walkers and bombers would arrive before the thick horde of shadow beings overwhelmed the Nypherian attackers.

"They draw closer, my lord, I can feel it." Lana grinned as she held up the shield of darkness around her tower, allowing energy and projectiles to strike right into it's field and disappear into what appeared to be nothing. In reality she could feel each attack as if it were a light jolt of electricity through her body. It tingled with power every time they poked her shield. "Soon they will see your true power, my lord."

Meanwhile on the ground the shadows frontline was being steadily pushed against, but it seemed these invaders were used to a war of two lines pushing each other. The Darkness was everywhere, it warped and shifted where it pleased. Portals opened inbetween the very ranks of the Nypherians, shadowy beings dropping out from right behind and beside the soldiers. By dividing their attentions and causing chaos within their ranks, the frontline pushed back against their diverted enemy.

From underneath the city a strange mist swirled, seperating as it travelled to each and every corner in preparation. These little patches of blackness consisted of almost nothing, making them perfect for find any crack, crevice or hole in the Nypherian vehicles or tanks. Slipping straight through the battle, they headed right for the Nypherian artillery first. Like fog seeping through a door they invaded the artillery machines, letting off bursts of dark magic and wrapping conjured tendrils around any circuitry or power sources they could find, aiming to tear the weapons apart from the inside.

The AI had been watching her and learning. Very soon all shots towards her had stopped. the tactics had now began to shift. They're now aware that energy attacks will not work. They had shifted their focus on sealing her out, forcing her to make a move outside the shell. Matter beams struck the ground around her. Lana, could see that the Nypherians had stopped moving towards her and had now fully surrounded the building she had been on. All they would do is sit and watch.

The large vehicles started releasing large bursts of energy that dispelled magic. The same kind of technology they used on Chyke, to isolate the magic that was used there. With the new method of attack. A dome of Enhanced harbenite began to form around her. The matter beams had now begun constructing a dome building around her. It slowly took form as it grew around the magical shield. Zanya had received new orders, "Warrant Officer Zanya, hold position and kill any shadow beings nearby. AI has decided to construct a gravity dome around, Lana. There will be other things added it. We're seeing if Lana will hide behind her shield. "



After some time, the planet had been pushed to a point. Most if the fronts have met each other and combined forces. More troops were still being deployed and with Lana and her magic the only thing defending the planet, it made things simple.

The non-effect of railgun rounds hailing down upon the Lana's magical shied caused the Nypherian army to change their tactics. In a near instant command, the Navy in orbit began constructing a barrier around Lana, intending to capture her within. In response, the shadow soldiers switched up their tactics as well. They began spawning within the army, attempting to surround and overwhelm the cybernetics with overwhelming numbers and friendly fire. Fortunately, the soldiers themselves were capable of effectively responding. Motion detectors organized to quickly and efficiently target the shadows. Losses remained minimal.

Zanya found herself a consistent target of the shadow attackers, herself becoming surrounded with four or more shadows at any given moment. Without effective tank support and the nearby cybernetics slowly falling under the sheer number of enemies. Slowly, Zanya's pulses ran low under the onslaught as more and more shadows descended, surrounding the warrant officer as she desperately held the line.

"It is time." Lana whispered into the shadows, her words echoing throughout the dark realms. Power surged around her and within her shield, detectable and even visible by all. It looked as if a storm was brewing within her sphere, preparing to unleash itself. Meanwhile Lana began to grow in size, her skin turning black and growing tendrils like those on the form of the mad celestial.

"Zalgo." Her whisper unleashed the entity within her, bursting her shield to reveal a being that was growing to be as large as the skyscraper it had started on. Tendrils burst down with tremendous speed, as thick as tree trunks smashing left and right at any forces it could see below. Meanwhile it's hands shot out, releasing gusts of black wind that threatened to tear apart the metals of it's enemies. 

The Entity of Madness had been unleashed.

The AI had been watching, learning. An order to all forces to retreat four mile radius. The ships then began to focus more of their effort to build around the creature. The buildings had been smashed but it grew back instantly. The ground around he "Entity" had begun to tear away and form into the structure. The large building grew and grew until it contained the creature. It closed and there it became void of light. Another buildings had been created around that as well.

The buildings holding the entity began to glow on the inside. "We have been watching you. Learning, understanding. This building is how we tested the limits of space and time. Where we learned how to harness power and take to the stars. This device is a testing chamber on the power of Black holes. Let's try and experiment, what happens to matter when it meets a black hole?"

The device began to hum and slowly turn on. The enhanced Harbenite metal had been made to be thick to hold the monster. They had lost interest in capturing Lana or whatever creature she became. The energy began to swirl and the powered vacuum began to form. The power of the man made black hole began to form and a energy field formed on the walls of the building. It protected the possible damage from black hole. All light had been sucked into it. The energy field had also begun to be swallowed by the black hole. "Interesting, the field we invented with the help of Haven. The wonders we have discovered. Remember, you're going to die, thanks to the Nypherian AI."

Somehow, Zanya felt a great burst of magical power. Almost like that she had known long before, while training to join the Sigren star brigade. The power itself was immense, even though it came pulsing through what Zanya presumed were several layers of Harbenite. Thanks to this, the shadows appeared to become even more enraged. The warrant officer had already begun a retreat when the orders came in. Four miles seemed to be a lot, halfway to the edge of the city. It was certainly a lot of ground to cover, but Zanya would feel a lot safer being at least a little bit farther away from a potentially self-destructive Nypherian device. Even computers could screw up sometimes.

Zanya stood on top of an APC while retreating, pumping round after round into shadows attempting to flank her Cybernetic soldiers. The numbers had thinned out the farther they got from the tower, something Zanya was grateful for as she casually held the line alongside the untiring robotic soldiers.

Shadows weaved outwards as if being pulled away as threads from the center of the creature. It's matter and shell warping as the black holes tore it apart almost elegantly. Right in the middle the figure of Lana could almost be seen, her energy being torn away. In her mind she wanted to burst out in anger, but in reality she could do nothing. The Entity of Madness was being stripped from her. Before long all the remained was her mortal form, slowly beginning to descend towards one of the black holes. However, today was not her day. With the remaining energy she could muster from within, she slipped into the Shadow Realm.

Meanwhile the forces of darkness around the city halted, noticing the entrapment and defeat of their idol. The Necromancers opened their portals to escape, realising there was no hope left for them. The shadows themselves tried to go out in a blaze of fury, launching themselves out from wherever they hid to try take down as many Nypherians as possible in their last moments. 

Before long the only darkness that remained would be the literal shadows of the ruined buildings...

The device had turned off, the AI began to take apart the device. Taking the matter and absorbing it to be used again. “All Forces, Lana has retreated. We have Victory and our revenge. Standing orders are to clean all city ruins and begin terraforming operations.” The order came over the coms. Many had died and much had been sacrificed in the means to take Norma Prime. The planet had now Nypherians destroying and taking apart of the old city ruins. Ships continued their bombing of the old cities and the ships also torn things apart with their “matter” rays that are not tearing the ruins apart. All soldiers had been ordered back to their ships and to standby until they were needed in the Operations against Abiri.

Satellites had begun to be created, along with weapon platforms. Zanya had been ordered back to Xouliv to meet with Lord Srox. The information had been limited but she had been told about a new team being formed.

Zanya couldn't help but gawk at the immense destruction the Nypherian Black-Hole machine had caused. Nothing but smoking shadows and nothingness remained as the machine itself was deconstructed and the matter returned to the machines which built it. In Zanya's mind, there wasn't any way a single being could have hoped to survive such immense technological might. Right after she had finished soaking in the purely awesome destuction that had taken place, Zanya immediately hit the comms.

"Warrant Officer Hawkeye reporting," Zanya started, "Total losses amount to twenty cybernetics and a DT7A1 Dragon Tank, less than 1% of nearby forces." She circled around to check on the remaining forces, "Minimal damage to survivors." The warrant officer finished before shutting off the comms. She holstered her paired pistols and flicked a wrist, restoring a bit of lost circulation and curiously releasing a bolt of plasma from her palm. Zanya stared curiously at her hand before ignoring it and continuing her rounds.
