The sword operates and feels like an ordinary longsword, it offers no combat advantages. but upon slaying a foe with this blade, the skill and knowledge of the fallen foe will not go to waste, since the knowledge and strengths get transferred to the one wielding the blade.

Description
Before the renegade empire was driven back by the sun elves in chey'nis during their campaign to defeat other elves and take chey'nis for their own, they had no idea of the rituals their god has created for them to gain power, once they were driven back by the sun elves. their leader, zindro craved revenge on the sun elves who foiled their plans of taking a whole continent for themselves. once cynfael (the renegad elven brother of the sun elven king of the sunset isles) inherited the throne after his brother mysteriously died. zindro instructed him to enslave the sun elves and introduce the renegade empire to the sunset isles, to take revenge on the sun elves.
once arriving on the sunset isles, to congratulate the king and taunt the now enslaved sun elves even further he stumbled across a ritual. the ritual stated that a daughter of the sun's (sun elven champion) blood had to be spilled in the ancient renegade temple with the absorption blade to summon kragen's fiend, and once the fiend has ended the life of the daughter of the sun, the one wielding the blade would recieve powers equaling those of a god.
the ritual was attempted but the blade was stolen and the daughter of the sun escaped, foiling zindro's plots. the thief who stole the blade as part of a rebbelion mission was rychel gildas, who discovered the magical property of the blade that it transfers knowledge and skills from the slain foe to the killer. rychel gifted the blade to her little sister, shortly before he met his end, the little sister still wields the blade today...
