Rev tossed the man's limp body into the police HQ. "Here's your man. He isn't dead. I'll collect my payment through Mr. Nobody." he said, turning and walking out. The world of Artemis was a great place to find quick cash as a bounty hunter, but the most dangerous, and worth the most, wouldn't hide in such an obvious place. But the occasional mob enforcer on the run would, like the man he just turned in.

he stepped out of the office, and glanced around, smirking. This was his kind of world. If it hadn't been for his new job as a mercenary for Clan Kyodain, he have even stayed here. He started walking down the street towards the spaceport, intending to stop by Vadubar Space Station to collect his payment. He bumped into a young lady,and turned to face her. "Sorry ma'am." He took in her appearance. She definitely looked intimidating, but it didn't affect him. When you hunt hardened criminals for a living, few things faze you.

Jessie seemed to be lost in her own thoughts as she walked down the street, only to be pushed out of them abruptly, as she bumped into a man taller than herself. "Oh, ah... Sorry about that. I wasn't watching where I was going." Jessie said still in a slight amount of shock, as she turned to face the man. After starring at the man for a little bit too long, that might of been considered ok, she spun on her heel and quickly march off, shouting. "Sorry!" As she did so.

However if Rev was to keep his eye on her, he would notice something a bit out of the ordinary. She had only went a few meters by now, before coming to a halt. It was here she took two quick looks around her, as if she was looking out for someone, before quickly disappearing into a nearby alleyway.

rev's brow furrowed, and he stopped. It seemed like the poor girl had an issue. he thought. he had time for a quick detour, and stopping criminals was what he did. He fought the crowd to make his way to the alleyway. He was also of the curious sort, so finding out about this girl's issues was on his to-do list now.

He drew his handgun discreetly, and turned into the alleyway, taking a look around for the girl. "hello?" he called out.

As Rev came into the alleyway, he wouldn't notice anything at first sight. However when the slight bending of water pipes could be heard above him, it would seem the girl hadn't disappeared, but had instead started to climb up buildings via pipes.

She was light on her feet and had excellent grip and balance. With superb skill she was able to leap from pipe to pipe, making quick work of climbing up to the roof.

Rev raised an eyebrow. She was a slippery one. He looked around. He weighed too much for the pipes, buy he had his ways. Wings formed from his back, and with a quick leap, he was up, as his wings disappeared in a black smoke, He walked forward. "What're you running from, little lady?"

As she made it to the top of the roof she hardly expected the man, she bumped into on the street, to somehow of made his way up here with her. In the amount of time that could only be classed as a slip second, Jessie pulled out her revolver and pointed it straight at Rev's chest.

Her face was almost completely concealed by the cloth cover her mouth, and her hat cover her head, leaving only her demon like red eyes visible. With her eyebrows arched she starred down Rev, as she attempted to use her look and weapon to intimidate him. 

"Move and I'll replace your heart with a lead bullet!" Jessie growled only raising her voice slightly, but not dare shouting. If people were to hear that statement they would go straight to the police, and that was something Jessie had no time for.

Rev hadn't survived hunting criminals by letting his guard down.As she reached for her weapon, he raised his already drawn handgun. "Little miss, if I wanted to shoot you, don't you think I would have done so before calling out? Or did you think I was some sort of idiot? Although i do believe I owe you an explanation about why I was following you, you won't get that unless you lower your gun. And I have a tougher skin than most- I wouldn't count on your gun doing too much even if it gets past my armor." he said.

He wouldn't shoot her, that much was certain, but he held his gun steady,  just so she knew it wouldn't go too well if she shot. "And you aren't intimidating. I've fought scarier folk, and won, so you can  drop that act."

Jessie was stuck in her position. She knew this guy would be tough in a fight, and the best way she could deal with people like that, was by catching them off guard and getting the first strike. Sadly that failed in this situation. 

Knowing when she was clearly out matched, she lowered her gun, but refused to place it back in her holster. "Talk, why where you following me?" Jessie growled.

He lowered his weapon as well, but stayed ready to raise it again, just in case. "After I bumped into you, I turned around to apologize, but you hurried off, lookin' around like you were running from something, or hiding from someone. Curiosity got the best of me, so I followed you to find out. And with how quick you pulled that gun on me, I'd say I was right. So, now that I've answered your question, answer mine. What're  you runnin' from, miss?"

"I'm not running from anything, if I was I wouldn't be out in board daylight dressed like this." Jessie growled now getting a much more calm stance around this man. Even if her voice didn't tell it. "I'm running towards something." Jessie said correcting the man on his assumption. 

Jessie then nonchalantly walked past Rev towards the end of the roof. Once at the end of the flat room, she perched herself on the edge so she got a clear top down view of the station.

He shrugged. "Sometimes stress can cause people to make bad decisions." he said.  He tilted his head at her next sentence. "Oh? And what would that be? Maybe i can help- Bounty hunters specialize in chasing things down." he followed her, looking down on the space station, crossing his arms. h crouched, looking into the station for any suspicious people. And then he realized that everyone on Artemis is suspicious.

"Sorry mate, but there isn't much you'd want the bounty I'm chasing." Jessie said as she seemingly sketched out a picture, of the station, in the air with her finger. She then started muttering something about guards being positioned in certain areas. After talking to herself for a while, she looked up at the sky and sun. "Three hours until dark." She muttered to herself. As of right now she didn't seem to bothered with Rev's presence, she actually seemed to just forget he was even there.

it dawned on him what she was gonna do. "You're gonna steal a ship, aren't you?" he asked. He frowned. If she did that, she'd end up on a bounty board, and he doubted she could beat the bounty hunters off for long. He crossed his arms. "Miss, you don't wanna do that. You'll land yourself in a whole world of trouble, and probably get killed or captured trying. If you're that desperate to get off the planet, I have some spare cash and I can get you to whatever planet you want."

Jessie turned to Rev, starring at him with rather stern eyes. She didn't say anything at first, whether that was by her own choice, or because she was thinking of something was up to Rev himself. After a what seemed to be a year she let out a soft chuckle, and then she let it grow in full on laugher. Only to abruptly cut it off, letting a serious tonne take hold of her voice.

"Well done! You've been able to figure out my master plan, to steal a ship and get off this godforsaken shithole!" Jessie growled, letting her rather short temper get the best of her. She then took a step back and took a couple deep breaths before saying anything else. "Look, your damn money isn't going to help me, I need a ship, one for myself!" Jessie said this time in a far more collective voice.

Reverth crossed his arms, frowning. "Miss, if you steal a ship, every spaceport is gonna be looking for you, and so will people like me-the bounty hunters. And if one of us finds you, you'll be lucky to survive. Find an honest job, whatever planet you want, and then save up for a ship. But it would be a damn shame if you died from being impatient. So, what's the big rush to get a ship?" he asked, stepping closer.

By now her patience for the man was running thin, much thinner than before. "Impatient..." She said, letting her tongue hiss the end of the word. "Impatient." She said once again, now letting a hollow chuckle trail through her voice. "I've been stuck on this planet for as long as I can remember, trying to find work, trying to find a way off. For years I've been as patient as I could be..." Jessie said, giggling and chuckling all the way through.

"And now there is some damn bounty hunter telling me to be patient!" Jessie spat, her tone of voice changing into something an angry killer would. Then with demonic speed she reached for one of her scythes, that lay sheathed on her back. She pulled out a scythe with an oak handle, that contained carvings of skull and thorny vines. Her there she leaped forward slashing her scythe upwards, aiming the point of the scythe for Rev's chin. All of this would of happened in the space of about a second, leaving Rev with not much time to react. Thankfully she stopped her scythe only a few inches away from Rev's chin.

"I suggest you stay out my way, before I move you out my way." Jessie threatened before retracting her scythe and sheathing it once more. With that she turned around and started to make her way towards the alley way which she climbed up from.

Revereth had been around enough unstable criminals to realize that she was about to do something extremely stupid. A glint of metal was all the warning he got before a scythe was at his throat. He stepped back, pushing the scythe down gently. He sighed. "You wanna talk about being stuck on a god forsaken planet? I was stuck on a planet straight out of an old western for over two hundred years. Admittedly, I could have left for a very long time, but you just don't know where to look. You're on Artemis- go collect some bounties. You seem like you can handle yourself halfway decent."

As she began to walk away, he called out. "I was never going to stop you by force. I was only hoping to convince you that this wasn't a good idea, because  if you go through with it, you'll end up on a bounty list, and people like me will hunt you down, and kill you. If it isn't the first one, the second will, or the third. They never stop. We make our own paths in this world, miss. The question is, what will yours be like?"

By now she on the edge of the roof, looking down the alleyway, but she stopped. Sagging her shoulders with a sigh, she took Rev's words into account. "My path..." She said under her breath before looking back at him. "Well I need to find out where it started." Jessie called back, looking down at the ground slightly. She seemed to regain control over her temper now, however it was probably safe to assume that, she could lash out at any moment. "If you where trying to convince me, you should of used force bounty hunter, words really aren't going to stop me." Jessie answered back in a melancholy voice, with that she stepped off the edge of the building and fell back into the alleyway.

Jessie landed quiet gently, for the height she fell from, creating no noise except for a soft thud. She quickly picked herself up and made her way out of the alleyway. As she stepped back into the busy path, she stuffed her hands in her pockets and kept her hat low. The only thing that seemed to be on her mind now was the bounty hunter's words, and how she hoped the man hadn't decided to keep an eye on her.

With that comment, he turned away. She wasn't the only one with unfinished business related to her past. He had his own goals, so he couldn't watch her, and he didn't see any point in stopping her by force, so he let her go. he holstered his pistol, sighing once more. He pushed a button on his armor, and his helmet snapped up. He walked towards the opposite edge of the roof, and jumped down. It was useless to track the girl in this crowd, despite her peculiar appearance. He could only hope that she'd decide to wait it out.

He made his way to the spaceport, ready to pay a fare to make it to his next job. he was on a time limit here- a mercenary had shot his employer and ditched him, taking cash and equipment. He was to get both back, and kill the merc. As he moved through Customs, he knew one thing was certain though- he'd keep an eye on those boards for stolen ships from Artemis.
