Name: Grizzly light bow
Owner: due to the difficult nature of bows, light bows were typically carried by members of the goldwood corps and the sunburn corps, though they are also very popular among hunters.
Creator: the weapon was the result of Loftian, Bylian and gloomshade designing, the loftian weapons manufacturer 'grizzly' got the honor of distributing it after winning a game of spin the bottle wich was the suggested means of solving the issue of who gets to sell it.
Development Thread: NA
Type: Bow
Ammo: The bow fires arrows of concentrated magical power, wich means it straddles the line between bullets and laser, the arrows come out of lens clips similar to the light shield on the SI rogue armor and each lens clip can hold up to 40 arrows, lens clips are fairly tiny (ooc: about the size of 3 2 EURO coins stacked on top of eachother) and are stored in a quiver, a quiver can hold up to 250 lens clips.
Rarity: Due to the difficult nature of the light bow, they are fairly rare and oftenly need to be pre ordered.
Strengths
The magical effect of the light arrows can change by the ease of pressing a button, the available magic effects are: fire, explosive, poison, electrical and piercing. electrical and piercing arrows offer a great advantage against armored targets, while fire and explosive can be used to deal both physical and structural damage, the poison is best used for stealth encounters or unarmored targets. the arrows can reach massive ranges and are very lethal, it is also equiped with 2 knifes to deal with unarmored close range targets.
Weaknesses
the light is for skilled hands only for one. it requires discipline, massive skill and extreme acuracy to use over longer ranges and requires even more skill to be used in short to medium range to to the place required to draw up the bow and how slow it reloads after the lens runs out of charges.
Description
Light bows were the result of 3 big companies working together to make a versatile weapon, it was never demanded or commisioned so production stayed fairly low and they remained kind of expensive. the last interesting fact is that legendary archer and member of the immortals Sylvia Roothearth carries one to replace the bow she used in the medievals after she was resurected.
